Not a four star, " Deluxe rooms " are more like " Budget rooms " !
My " deluxe " room (and I was told all " deluxe room " are like this) has NO sunlight, NO desk, NO chair and the so-called queen-size bed was not even a double-bed and I wonder how two adults can sleep comfortably. Luckily I was solo. Bathroom was so small that there was no space for my toilet case. YES, it was very clean. I also was hearing noises from neighbors because the only window there is was to the very narrow corridor crammed with " other doors ". Included " breakfast " consisted on two toast and my " Spanish Omelet " consisted a super oily two fried eggs cooked along a few " French fries ". A disgrace, giving Spanish Omelet a bad name. Front beach is not clean and no one was swimming. Pool was far cleaner and much nicer (a bit too shallow). Luckily I only booked ONE night and the high point of my stay was when I checkout, hopefully once and for all.

Quite, relaxing & serenity to the fullest, very good staff, facilities are top notch. Rooms very good & clean and Good food as well good ambiance on their restaurant your eating in front of a full view of the ocean. Very clean pool and the whole facilities. Will be planning to return again with my family.. very reasonable prize for its standard.
Clean and Quiet
Visited the resort first week of June 2019. Their staffs are great and very accommodating; strictly 2 PM check-in time which is standard comes with free breakfast and free transfer to the port of your destination. Sunrise view with infinity pool and you can use the kayak for free. Clean and nice room.
great resort
l booked n here for 4 nights should have been longer, the rooms are super clean the are good the bar and restaurant are excellent, you get free breakfast, and they have 3 swimmng pools, also recepton will book any tour you wish to go on, so the resort is well worth the effort and public transport is everywhere out f
You have got it all wrong
Hi all Don't go bye what people are saying they are wrong as the place looks nothing like the picture Now. If you have seen some of my other reviews you no l tell it as I see it. Four of us went to this place. From Tarlac we had seen it on the internet. when we got there we were surprised. OK A little building work going on but by now probably all fine. it is one of the Best hotels we have stayed at and we have stayed at a few. 1 the staff are brilliant can not do enough for you. 2. The food is wonderful OK limited but you get lots for your Money. The room are nice only thing is I found the hot water hard to control. but when it 35 outside who needs hot water. Why I was there I heart my self the owner and staff could not do enough for me a big thank you. Worst Resort ive been
Our company had booked almost 100 pax on these resort. When we arrived we are all " Disappointed " when we saw the place. Its not what we expected; as on their website. Facility Quality CR - cleanliness =*poor Water = *Poor Staff customer oriented = *terrible Food = *poor Pool = *terrible (when we arrive; thats the time they put chlorine; they not even change the water; we wait until nextday to use the pool) pavillion area = *fair; aircon not working. Front beach area = *poor (we didnt try to swim) Linens= *fair; Service = *terrible (we are going to port we rode their jeepney; the service loose break; driver check it, break fluids is empty; 2nd experience riding these jeep, it was stall at the middle of night, and found out there's no fuel.) Over all " WE DID NOT ENJOY THE PLACE " waste of time and money. If we can only refund / reschedule our summer outing. " Lesson learned always personally visit the place you where going to as much as possible.
It was okay
My family and I went on family trip last Dec 2016. We stayed on this hotel it was a nice a quite hotel, however, since the whole island was just devastated by a typhoon, the place was a mess. But the staff are very helpful. It was just a little far from white beach so we have to find a different hotel.
A fuir, tres vite!
A l'arrivée la réservation n'était pas faites. Le personnel tres désagréable, l'endroit très sale. Le personnel ne prête aucune attention aux clients et ne bougeront pas le petit doigt pour vous aider. La plage est ridicule, il s'agit d'un banc de sable de 10metre de long avec des branches partout. Et la piscine était impraticable. Une horrible expérience à oublier très vite.
Fun Fun Fun
At first, I didn't know what to expect from this place because it was my first time visiting the place. My officemates and I had a great time with the team building activities. So much fun and memorable for all. The amazing race was exciting and worth trying.

Our staff had a great time with various activities presented to us. The facilitation of team building was fun especially the amazing race. We will definitely visit again. We will recommend this place to our friends back home.
2016 Company's Outing @ Puerto Nirvana Beach Resort
We had our company's outing in Puerto Nirvana Beach Resort and stayed there overnight. We enjoyed the group activities organized by the resort's personnel, especially the " Amazing Race ". We also had fun with the tour included in the race. The resort also has function room for large group programs. We commend their accommodating and friendly staffs. Buffet food were timely prepared and good. For improvement however, there should be enough water supply and air condition should also be functioning well.
Worst experience ever
I booked online via travelbook, com. ph. We stayed in the Family Room B. Rate was discounted in Travelbook at 3200 per night for 6-8 pax. Very affordable right? That does not include breakfast though. We knew that it is a budget hotel / resort. The pictures on the website are misleading. We stayed there because there is an infinity pool but when we arrived, it was under treatment so we asked the staff to clean it. They promised to clean it the next day. When I woke up, I asked again the staff to clean it again. Yes, they cleaned it but the water was still dirty. We ended up not swimming. The room was old and dirty. The toilet was also not that clean. The room was old enough. The blankets were stained. The breakfast was also over priced. I paid for PhP 155 for just an omelette but it only tasted like a scrambled egg with tomatoes. It was not even delicious. Coffee or juice was not even included. Also, there were a lot of mosquitoes. There is nothing to do in the resort. Also, when I texted the staff and confirmed that we were coming, they informed us that there was a funeral in the resort because the owner died. They did not even notify us before going there to cancel out reservation. I have been to budget resorts like Villa Noe in Cagbalete and we even stayed in a fan room but did not experience these things. Also, I was not impressed with White Beach. The sand is not even white and it was too crowded. The beaches we visited when we had an island hopping were better. I will not bother going back to this place.
AMAZING RACE at PUERTO GALERA
Puerto Nirvana is a perfect place for team buildings. The staffs were accommodating and friendly. The buffet food is delicious. The hotel price is affordable. The place was peaceful so it's a good place to relax and unwind.. We enjoy the amazing race because it really require team work.
NICE LOCATION BUT.
We were excited about this place before we went because we heard they had a good restaurant and we wanted eating to be close by. The restaurant was close by but getting someone to do anything was a challenge. Very understaffed. We had no way of communicating to housekeeping other than going there in person either to the front desk or grab anyone you see that was staff. they seemed terribly understaffed. The free breakfast was just that " free ". they brought two sunny side up eggs, toast, jam and butter on the cheap PINOY Tasty bread, just barely heated up.. NO CHOICE.. eat it or starve or order something you had to pay for. No juice, just some really lame coffee with no refills. It seemed like this resort was on the verge of bankruptcy. We had a power outage at 5am. They did not turn on a generator until almost 7am. I found many items in the hotel dirty full of dirty finger prints such as light switches, especially in our room. They will see this review and I want them to know about cleanliness and maintenance. The maintenance of the facilities was low grade. We had to ask them to turn on the water to our room two times. When I checked in they did not have my reservation. They publish a couple of phone numbers but both are NOT with the resort. They are in Manila and they actually require a 50 pct down payment before you can confirm your reservation. This was shocking to me. They want your credit card in dollars, over the phone, so the BDO bank can play with your money. I had to pay cash when i checked in for the whole stay despite the poor service. I will not stay there again.
Super relaxing
Very accomodating staff. I highly recommend this place if you want peace and relaxation, away from the noise of the city. The food was good. But the beachfront was not a good idea for swimming. Lol. But overall, our stay was a thumbs up 👍🏼😌😊
Relaxing haven
Puerto Nirvana Beach Resort is far from the busy tourism hot spots of Sabang & White beach and offers a more relaxing get-away. The resort offers a beach front accommodations with great views of the bay, a restaurant / bar, pool, conference hall, wifi / internet services and excellent service from its owner and staff.
Highly recommended!
Puerto Nirvana offers more than just a fine place to stay in. They were so accommodating and they cater to our needs and concerns. They offer package deals inclusive of accommodation, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and even snacks), tours and did all the arrangement for the team building activities. You will not worry even about the travel to and from Puerto Galera since they contact the shipping line and even provide for a shuttle that you will also use for the tour around the area. They are also very considerate that they allow us to move the date of our booking with them and did not charge us with additional fees. The resort owner was even kind to bring us to Calapan pier so we could catch a ferry back to Batangas because we needed to go back a day ahead of our scheduled departure. The food they serve were also good. The place is clean, quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed the team building actvity / amazing race. The games were a mix of both physical and mental activities. The staff always accompany us throughout our trip and sees to it that we are safe while we are enjoying the tour and the activities they prepared for us. So if you guys are looking for a place where you can unwind and have fun as well, this is the place to be. Indeed, you can make the most out of their very affordable rates.
Heaven beside the Sea
Our trip was intended to unwind, relax, and disconnect from harsh and stressful reality of our corporate life. This trip was also a chance to renew our bond and friendship as a group which is necessary for our continued success. If you have the same objectives as ours, Puerto Nirvana is an excellent place to be. Puerto Nirvana offers solution to our objectives at a very affordable price. For luxurious, travellers, do not expect high-end experience as the price would not warrant such. Regardless, the simple yet exquisite ambience that Puerto Nirvana offer is worth every penny. The food is delicious and abundant. The rooms were clean and simple. Lastly, team building activities were fun and fukk of learning experiences. We all had a hard and good laugh. Our team is now more connected. As to the location, Puerto Nirvana is located strategically whereby tourist will have easy access to popular places around the galleon port. Puerto Nirvana is highly recommended for people looking for simple yet memorable experience.
An amazing race to Puerto Galera
It's the perfect place for team buildings. The staffs were accommodating and friendly to all the guests. The price is also affordable and reasonable. The place has a peaceful ambiance so its a good place to unwind. All basic necessities are provided in our rooms. The buffet food are delicious. The place also offers a lot a activities (i. e. swimming, beach sight seeing, social drinking, videoke, gun firing games, go cart, etc.) We really enjoy the amazing race. The activities are innovative and will really require teamwork. There were no dull moments. The staffs are really dedicated throughout the race. Overall, it was an amazing way to discover Puerto Galera. We are happy to recommend this place to other friends.

The owner and the staff are so nice, they know how to cater to their customers. This resort is perfect for people who wants to spend time with their family, friends and loved ones intimately and fun. You can ask the staff or even the owner to tour you around the whole island, explore beautiful attractions and landmarks through their trendy jeepney. If you're visiting a popular island here in the Philippines, I suggest that you stay away from the mainstream and crowded resorts. Enjoying nature and
Puerto Nirvana, I could say could be one of the perfect place to stay in Puerto Galera specially if your looking for a laid-back, easy, quite place to stay. Away from the busy and populated (popular) White Beach, Puerto Nirvana got it's advantage of its own. In the month of June the weather here is calm (even though it could be stormy already in some parts of the island). There are other recreational activity you can do as well. Thou the beach front doesn't have a wide shoreline, going to beaches like Bulabod beach are just 15 minutes away. Our room was decent with just enough things needed for our three day stay. Here's a tip, if your booking a room choose the one fronting the sea, its the best room to stay. And the view is just magnificent specially in the morning. The food we ordered are amazing as well, specially the Sinigang and the pork belly. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you requested for something they will make sure that it will be done to the best that they can. Oh and by the way, It's the only place in Puerto Galera where the best team building activity can be found. I personally witness how fun it was to do what the organizers have prepared. We were actually thinking to do it as well, maybe next time. I will be back definitely!
Reach Beach Nirvana in Puerto Nirvana
I visited Puerto Galera over the weekend and stayed in Puerto Nirvana. Upon arriving, I loved how hospitable the staff were. The food was GREAT - fresh seafood to chicken tinola and freshly caught tilapia. I enjoyed how quiet it was unlike white beach. The entire place was powered with WiFi and the rooms were so spacious and my room had a little patio set facing a lovely view. The bathroom has a heater and the aircon on full blast cools the entire room. They organized all my activities over the weekend from snorkling to island hopping to Bulabod beach and a quick trip to the Mangyan village. I will surely visit again!! :)
Great View, Fun Activities and Very Accommodating Staff!
So happy to spend my weekend at Puerto Nirvana. Everything was definitely worth it! Puerto Nirvana is the perfect place for big groups especially if you're going to visit Puerto Galera with your friends, family or workmates. My favorite service from them would be their tour service. I got to experience and witness the hidden beauty of Puerto Galera. :) Their food is really really good too. You must try their lechon kawali! If you love to drink, I also recommend their Mindoro Sling. ;) I will definitely visit Puerto Galera and stay at Puerto Nirvana again.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights in Puerto Nirvana. The staff is accomodating. The food is tasty. Our room has the basic necessities: bed, towel, soap, hot water, cable tv, etc. Overflowing coffee! The team building activities and the amazing race prepared for us were awesome. Kudos to the organizers! The additional trips to other not so known / exploited beaches and sites are great. Is one of the recommendable place to go for out-of-town team building activities. We spent 3 days and 2 nights in Puerto Nirvana. The staff is accomodating. The food is tasty. Our room has the basic necessities: bed, towel, soap, hot water, cable tv, etc. Overflowing coffee! The team building activities and the amazing race prepared for us were awesome. The place to be!
Puerto nirvana is the place to be if you want to have a getaway from the hussle and bustle of the city life. It is a hidden gem. They have an awesome staff. They serve great food. The place has a great view of the sunset. It is an excellent venue for team building. They have their own version of " The Amazing Race ".

The place is awesome and peaceful. We stayed for 3 days and we really had a very memorable experience in this resort. The staff and even the owner of this resort is very accommodating. Only for team building activities
Fun is subjective. If you go here for company outings, this is a great place. Other than that, I dont know if it's still fun... PROs activities - the staff facilitated the " amazing race " activity for us which is a huge plus. i just dont know if we had to pay extra for this service which lasted for more than 5 hours. service - they tried really hard to please guests. another point for this. food - good enough for all guests. quality is good for its price. hotel room - clean, enough space, working faucets, and cool airconditioning. hotel amenities - they have karaoke, billiards, and clean pool. price - good enough. =) CONs beach front- not swimmable. they share the same shoreline with some residents. if you want to enjoy the beach, you still need to go to Bulabod or the White Beach which is quite a travel. pool - the pool is too small for a resort which doesn't offer a swimmable beach. Would I recommend this to friends? Maybe. For families? Not really. For couples? Definitely not unless you can have the resort all by yourself. Not worth the travel to Puerto Galera. Afterall, those activities can still be possible in some place near Manila.

We just had our company outing at Puerto Nirvana. The food is great. We enjoy the amazing race especially the learnings every challenges taught us. Such a nice play to enjoy your summer outing! Will surely be back to the resort for my summer vacation!

Upon our arrival, we were greeted with super friendly staff. We really enjoyed the fun and challenging activities for our team building. Afterwards, we had a tour of the island. Overall it was a fun day!

We just had our company outing and team building at Puerto Nirvana. The food was good. My employees had a great time. It was convenient that the resort arranged our transportation from Batangas to Puerto Galera, as well as the snorkeling and beach hopping activities.
Wonderful staff and central location
Cosy room with character, hotel was nearly empty when we stayed so very peaceful. Right by the sea in a cove (literally metres!), some rooms have hammocks and balconies. Reasonable priced rooms included breakfast and staff were willing to reduce rates for walkups. Has an infinity style small pool that looked clean and well cared for. Staff were wonderful. We spent a long night playing free pool in their outside rec area and they stayed up serving beer for us and chatting and didn't mind us playing music on our phone while we played. Just a lovely feeling to the place. Jeepney terminal is a couple of minutes walk along the road and easy to grab one here to the waterfalls. Atm right outside everything else in easy walking. Only downside is the beach is small and covered in sharp coral pieces on this part of the coast. Would definitely stay again.
Great views of the bay!
The hotel is located just out of the town between Sabang and Puerto Galera. It is on the side of a steep hill and you will need to be able bodied to access the rooms as the stairs are a long walk down from the road. The views around the area are exceptional and you will need to rent a bike to see them.
Very friendly staff, very clean, very good postion
The price for this room is excellent. Its a very quiet place and its very near at the white beach and also to sabang city. The position is very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was like a home were you can cook also your own food. It gives a free games area, Banana Boat, Jetski, parasailing and much more. I meet also the owner from the Resort. I had a problem in Manila with the goverment and he comes because of me to Manila and helped me out. That was very very helpful for me and for my situation. I would always come back to this resort. Our New Paradise on Earth
We would just like to share our very wonderful and pleasant experience at Infinity resort, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. First of all, the place was very beautiful and serene. We can say that Infiniti resort is a " Paradise on Earth ". Simply breathtaking! No words can hardly express how exciting and relaxing was our experience at Infinity. The food was great and very sumptuous. The crew were very courteous and kind. But what surprised us the most was that Mr. Ephraim Morillo, the owner, was very accommodating and kind. He personally approached us when we arrived at the resort. He and his daughter " Ms. Bunny " was very accommodating to their guests. We can really say that when you are with them they make you feel very at home. All In all our experience at Infinity was a blast! We surely recommend that you come visit the resort, you will have an experience of a lifetime. If we can put it in one word our experience at Infinity was simply " priceless " !!! Definitely we will come back.
Escape to Nirvana
Me and my girlfriend enjoy going to the beach, among other out of town trips. Every time we plan a vacation outing for just the two of us, we always carefully research, ask, and look at a lot of options. We're very thorough when it comes to looking up destinations, accommodations and logistics. After we have a shortlist of what beach we want to go and stay. For some reason, we always end up with our best and relaxed choice: Puerto Nirvana. I've stayed in alot of beach resorts in the Philippines. Pagudpud, Batangas, Zambales, La Union, Baler, Boracay and Mindoro to name a few. Believe it when i say that Puerto Nirvana is THE place to go to when you just want to escape from everything and just have a relaxing and convenient beside the beach experience. The staff is very welcoming, the rooms are spacious with a beach-home atmosphere, their food (specially the garlic chicken) is something you'd order more than twice a day, their infinity pool that overlooks the ocean is just fantastic. Their prices are also unbelievably affordable. Puerto Nirvana's location also offers more convenient routes to the attractions to experience in Puerto Galera, such as the other secluded and peaceful beaches, waterfalls and tourist-friendly locations. If you wanted to go to the main beach however, a 15min trike ride, or Puerto Nirvana's shuttles are also available. Not having a crowded beachfront, no noisy bars and karaokes and no feeling of commercialized paradise is something challenging to find in the Philippines nowadays. At first we were skeptic since the location of Puerto Nirvana was a bit far from Puerto Galera's main beach, but pparentlyn it was actually the best thing about it. We're actually planning our 3rd stay this summer, and we're looking forward to it like its our first time going there again.
A good reason to go back
It's not my first time at Puerto Galera but it's my wife and my kid's first so I don't want to disappoint them, so is Puerto Nirvana. Upon arriving, the receptionist (name is Em's) already noticed that we are tired because of the long travel (we came from from San Jose Mindoro) so instead of the usual sign here and there papers and pay up the remaining balance, she just asked me to write my name and signature and she showed me the way to our room. Room is nice and clean. They have cable T. V. They have a decent wifi signal. Swimming pool is clean Although we encountered some power interruption (not their fault) in just a few minutes power is up again. The decision to choose Puerto Nirvana is because of Ensogo, they offer 2D / 1N for 1, 500 but when I called for reservation, they offered me a better deal which is 1, 300 for a standard room. Now if you plan to have breakfast, lunch or dinner if you have enough money to spare they have a nice menu of food available, but if you are in tight budget, there's carrinderia near by where you can ask them to cook pansit or any silog food for only 75 pesos. Our stay here at Puerto Nirvana is a very nice experience and my wife told me if we have plan to go back January 2014 definitely we are going to stay at Puerto Nirvana again.

SIMPLY AMAZING
My husband and I, along with our sons had an enjoyable stay at their Superior Room. I booked only Standard room, but to my surprise, Ms. Meriel was good enough to upgrade us into a Superior room without any additional fees. Room was comfy. Despite we heard some other guests are complaining (poor water and electricity cut off, no TV reception), she's still calm and answers their complaints nicely without intimidating the guest. Whoah, hard job I guess, seen many frontliners get mad too during that situation, but she's different. We were offered some tours, we prefer the Tukuran since my family haven't experience to ride a water buffalo. It was a nice experience crossing the 6 (or 7, I forgot) rivers. Their Tour Team headed by Kuya Jan, back ups Ariel and William was fun too. We treat each other as family. When we get back at the resort, I ask them if we can have atleast one beer, its my treat, but they refused to and told me that Ms. Meriel will caught them. That's my boys I tried their stuffed squid it was really fantastic. Good job chefs. Their resto staff were all polite. (Guess they are really trained well.. hmm) Janice and Mikay, thumbs up. One thing that I noticed is that some of the facilities are outdated. TVs are huge and fridge are starting to get rust (maybe their near the sea). Chamber man was considerate too. I'll give you my high five guys. Keep it rockin'.
FUN TIMES AT PUERTO NIRVANA
This was my first time at Puerto Galera. Starting from our arrival at the Port where a staff welcomed us. After we reach the resort, we were offer with refreshment. This get rid of my madness at Batangas Port where many porters And sellers move toward us. Our driver, Kuya Jon assisted us. My kids gets along with him easily. When we reached the place, we were greeted by their frontdesk personnel. Ms. Em was probably the friendliest and reverent staff I have encountered anywhere in my trips. I admired the way she answered, the way she talk to me when I found out that the place is not totally located on the sand beach. The serving staff were equally attentive and nice too. Mikayla, Jazz, I always had time to talk to them since I really want to stay at their bar. Oh mind you, the food was really nice esp. their crispy pata (quite pricey though). I wasn't able to get their names (sorry, I will next time). Forgot to ask the name of their beautiful Roomkeeper, the guy with a heart of a lady.. Lol. She / He never skipped cleaning our room. I thought we would not enjoy our stay since it's not sandy beach, but we ended up staying 3 nights, instead of 2 nights only. Till next summer again guys..
Superb!!
T'was a nice stay here. We were on vacation with my husband and 2 kids. Upon check in, their frontliner welcomed us warmly giving you that you wonderful feeling. I even told her " Mageenjoy ako dito for sure ", I booked a Standard room, but to my surprise she upgraded my room into Superior without any add ons. The one we had is spacious and comfy. I love you na talaga Ms. Meriel. My kids loved swimming in their pool. The distance of the resort from the beach give us more relaxing night. We thought of something to do on our entire stay since we booked 3 nights. Ms. Meriel was quick enough to offer information for hang outs. We ended that we'll be having a Tukuran Tour the next day. Tour day an yeheyy, thanks to Puerto Nirvana kolokoy boys, hehehehe, my kids really enjoyed bonding with them. Thumbs up to Kuya Jan and Kuya Aries / Ariel?forgot his name. T'was fun crossing the rivers, quite hard though. The food is incredible! The way they served the food is magnificent. High five to Kuya Cook, the crispy pata was really a haven. Crispy and tasteful (quite expensive too, but still worth it). The lady guy was good enough to clean our room. Wifi connection was excellent, very useful for travellers like me. Pretty good value in terms of price and service. Just need to update their TV set. Guys keep the ball rolling. Salute! Management must be proud of you. Not have enough time to talk with the owner, seen him busy with his business matters.
Read before considering!!! Would not be my 1st choice!
I recently stayed at this resort and unfortunately it was disappointing from location, room and staff!!! Prior to booking I had previously read all the other reviews and thought I'd try it out since they were pretty decent but it was nothing like I expected. The Staff: We arrived at the resort at night around 8pm and there was no staff in sight. The reception office was closed and we had to go to the restaurant to find a staff member. After a few minutes a staff finally helped us but she was so disorganized! She didn't know where things were and what room we were gonna stay at. The staff seemed very inexperienced and can not understand or respond in English?!? The Room: far from what they advertise!!! So beware!!! I requested a double bed and instead they give me a king size bed. The furniture and decor are very outdated. The room smells and it had chips and cracks on the walls! The bathroom is small and lacks cleanlines.
Lodging Choice
When one speaks of Mindoro, first thing comes to mind is White Beach at Puerto Galera. Thus was the case when I first visited the island. Its water is inviting. A place I would have definitely recommended if not for the crowd. You see, this part of the island is bustling with people and not my ideal place for relaxation and serenity. But a few years later, I had an entirely opposite experience. An opportune moment came, which gave me the privilege to stay at Puerto Nirvana Resort. It's about 5-10mins drive from Balatero or a couple of minutes ride from Muelle. Both ports are nearest from Batangas, which makes the resort fairly accessible and easy to locate. The area where Puerto Nirvana is located does not offer the beachfront that White Beach boasts. What it offers best though is seclusion. The resort gives off a homey and somewhat provincial feel especially during early mornings. I find it difficult not to sit back and admire the sunrise that this place was blessed with. The resort has good selection of food, decent accommodation, friendly staff and has more than enough amenities that can keep you occupied for the day. This shouldn't keep you from trying other activities though (such as diving and snorkeling) or explore some of the hidden attractions of the island (like their numerous waterfalls and hidden beaches) which I highly recommend. All of this and more can be arranged with the resort. I find Mindoro one of those " road less travelled " type of places in the Philippines where its beauty hasn't reached mainstream travelogues yet. The island has more to offer than an average Juan can manage in a day. If you're the adventurous type and wanted to make the most of your stay on the island, I would recommend Puerto Nirvana to be your accommodation of choice.
Quiet Stay
We stayed there last October 2012. We really enjoyed our stay because it was very far away from the noise of the bars in the other beaches. If you're planning for a quiet weekend trip, this is a good place to stay. The staff could get you a tricycle that you could hire if you want to visit the tourist spots. But it also enjoyable to just stay within the resort.
Another side of Puerto Galera
We normally stay in White Beach when we go to Puerto Galera. I found a voucher in Ensogo for 1500 for an overnight stay for 2 pax, room accommodation is about 2200 / night. So I grabbed the deal. But I was a bit disappointed because I didnt notice that we have to pay extra 500 if its on a weekend and the voucher is for room accommodation only. If we paid 2200 / night - they will pick us up from the port and breakfast is included. It costs 1500 (voucher) + 500 (additional if its on a weekend) + 80 rt (tricycle 20 per pax) + 150 (breakfast), so its like we paid more because we purchased the voucher. Oh well, that's how this voucher sites make their money. You will have to board the boat going to Muelle port. This is the same boat that goes to Sabang. Boat ride is about 1 1 / 2 hours and will cost you 230. From Muelle port, its about 5 mins away from the Puerto Nirvana. The resort is nice and quiet, if you want to unwind and relax this is the place to be. Its about 15-20mins away from White Beach. If you want to go to White Beach you can hire a tric for 100php to take you there. The infinity pool is quite small but the good thing is they dont have curfew so you can use it any time of the day. They have a videoke place, restaurant and bar. The price of the food is quite expensive. There is a nearby market in the area about 10mins walk, you can also ride the tricycle for 10php / pax, they have karinderia, liquor shops and bbq place in the market, so its cheaper to eat there. We stayed in the standard room, its clean, a / c is cold, hot and warm shower and small tv. I also noticed that the bed sheets have stains. I like the small bahay kubo they have near the shoreline. The place can use a little improvement but overall its an okay resort if you want to relax and spend quality time with your family or special someone. Exact opposite of the party scene we are used to in White Beach.

Unwinding place....... Stress-free environment...... Feel true nature... Great service..... With great amenities. the location is great near the market place, sea side area and surrounded by mountains...... The Filipino food is scrumptious especially the seafoods...... A great place to just chill or hangout..
More Fun Weekend Getaway.
Been there last Sept 2012. Nice place to relax and this is the perfect place to have have quality time with your family or special someone. The place is clean, quite and the staffs are very kind and friendly. Food are good but a little bit costly.
Good Vacation Spot!
Been there last April 12, 2012. Staff are very courteous and nice. Although food are a bit pricey and needs to add more menu, everything is ok. Will definitely be back next year!

The service is ok but the rooms are outdated, not commensurate with the rates. If you want peace and quiet, then this is the place because it is away from all the parties in galera.
Ultimate resort to stay in
Great resort to stay in. My Australian wife and I had the best service and comfortable holiday ever. The resort is beachfront and our room gave a best view of the bay. The resort owner and staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable. The resort is walking distance to town and other attractions are easily accessible (island hopping, snorkeling and picnicking at Tamaraw falls). My wife and I are coming back with our daughters next year. I highly recommend this resort to my family and friends in Australia and America. Thanks and see you next year Puerto Nirvana. we had stayed puerto nirvana resort for 3 nights for vacation.. very comfort and sweet, especially well trainned staffs and warm wecloming made me and guest feel free... arrangement for activites were also cool...... hope visit there again... bye staffs... from mr park. korea..
Relaxation at its finest
My Husband just got back from a week. We had a great room over looking the water on the 2rd floor. A nice clean room. We enjoyed the resort for its serene and relaxing views. The staff went out of their way for us they were all really nice. When we go back to Nirvana this will be the place to stay at
It's a good place to stay
It's a good place to stay only if you have other plans (Go island hopping / snorkeling, go to White Beach) because you can't do much on the resort itself. They have the " infinity pool " which is just small and quite boring. What's good about this resort is their staff is friendly, and the rooms are maintained. Their island hopping / snorkelling (Coral Garden!) service was good enough. They charged Php2, 800 (for 2 persons) or Php850 / head if your more than 5pax. *Note that the bangka staff may ask for additional fees for aqua shoes, and other island destination (We were charged +Php700). Also, the resort is 15mins away from the White Beach but they offer a tricycle going there worth 150 / one way.
Refreshing Change
Puerto Galera is inundated with beach resorts everywhere. And really, when the beach is the only thing you have during a summer vacation, you tend to want to see and do something else. So, the beach isn't exactly white beach material, but it's fine. The location is perfect to force you out of your comfort zone and explore the island and rediscover it. From the tours offered by the resort, it gives us a refreshing way to enjoy the island. And it's not just the sea: the falls, hiking trails, spring waters, mangroves and beautiful views are just some of the places waiting to be rediscovered. Plus, the resort's staff is very friendly. Unlike in other places where we get snubbed and treated like second class travelers. It also has great views so I guess this is contradictory to one of the reviews. And the furnishings in the suite is also very nice. I like it! A merge of the east and the west. nice touch.

Puerto Nirvana Beach Resort Located Puerto Galera Oriental Dindoro, its so nice and is so very good for vacation with my family and friends... nice rates, food, and all rooms are very good for me.. unlike sa ibang mga resort.. walang kabuhay buhay.. ok din lahat ng staff, masarap kasama sa mga tour.. hehehehe... hindi ka iiwan.. wala ka ng hahanapin pa.. very private.. sa next year na bakasyon... babalik kame.. promise.....
Its a nightmare!!!!
We just recently came back from our Puerto Galera Trip. The most awaited vacation with my family turned out to be a nightmare. This resort does not deserve a DOT accreditation. Do not be deceived, the place is far from a resort. Everything comes with a price even good service! Service is not even at par with a 3 star hotel. Staff was friendly but ineffcient. We originally reserved for a suite room since it stated that it has a nice view but it does not have any view at all as it was blocked with trees. Anyway, we upgraded to a VIP room and it was supposed to be the best room but it does not have any phone, robe, toothbrush, etc, menu and shower pressure is weak. Room and bathroom amenities are not even close to standard. Everything is just picture perfect but far from reality. Food is dissappointing too, expensive yet tasteless and not fresh at all. They even charge shuttle going to and from the white beach instead of just offer it for free since they do not even have a nice beach as its too rocky. Note that the place situated beside residences no bounderies at all and you may literally walk over to their place. We even witness some guests cooking just beside the resort's shoreline. I am not sure if the hotel allowed it but well who can blame them. I guess, they can't stand hotel food more than we do. This should not be called a resort as it is devoid of any quality and style. They charge first class rate but the place, service and facility is way below acceptable standards. Not worth it, might as well go to the white beach and scout for vacancies. There are also big hotels out there even cost less but much more classy. Security is also questionable. Originally, I thought since rate is more expensive than those in white beach area, this place is beautiful and with excellent service but to my surprise, IT WAS SOOO DISAPPOINTING. Because of this experience, I vowed never to visit Puerto Galera ever!!! PS: -If you will use card they add 7% to cost and they also charge 10% for room service. -Also, I have no pictures to share as none was good to show. -Note that other guests have sentiments like mine as we had the honor of speaking with a couple on our way back to Manila.
Awesome....
We looked at all the Resorts at Puerto Galera and we Choose Puerto Nirvana. Others were more expensive but did not have the atmosphere that Puerto Nirvana had. The Staff made you feel like a King and Queen. The food was very good in the Resturant and service was outstanding. It had the cleanest pool of any resort there. The staff really take care of us. Plus they were easy to look at and would joke around with you. A great time was had.
a cozy and serene place in crowded puerto galera
as my fiance and i were scouting for a good accommodation in galera (as both of us had not been there for quite a while already), i chanced upon this resort. i chose it among others because it looks cozy and it has its own pool (infinity pool, that is), and its away, but not quite far, from the busy white beach. we were not disappointed choosing this resort. first, i was surprised when they still accommodated our reservation. we were supposed to go in may 2008, but unfortunately the weather didn't allow us, so i asked if we can just rebook. they honored the request and just informed me to call them again anytime. 6 months later, we had the chance to go out, and i tried checking nirvana if our reservation was still available. surprisingly, i didn't have a hard time convincing them and they accommodated us right away. upon arriving galera, we were picked up by the resort driver (my apologies, forgot manong's name, but he was such a nice person).. on the trip to the resort, manong served as our 'instant' tour guide =) arriving at the resort, we instantly felt the warm welcome from the staff. everybody was courteous, very helpful, and everyone was smiling. and another surprise, our accommodation was even upgraded!! just when you thought you're about to start a good vacation.. and true enough, it really went well.. the area is quiet and peaceful, it's clean and well-taken cared of. we rented a motorcycle to go around, and the staff readily helped us with that. manong was just really too familiar with the island (nice!) that he really became our 'instant' tour guide =) we asked several places, the distance of each place, what can be seen, if it's worth going, etc.. nirvana is just about 30mins away from white beach by motorcycle, so that was not bad. also, nirvana's food is simply irresistible! they have generous serving and really good food! though one point, i must say the service was a bit slow, so i would suggest to order early. but nonetheless, it was worth waiting for.. my fiance and i left the island with a big smile.. it was only an overnight stay, yet we felt home.. and we highly recommend it to everyone, if you prefer a tranquil place to stay.. we're thinking of going back and maybe bring along friends and our families as well.. happy vacation!! thanks much nirvana staff =) til our next visit..
