최고의 Speakeasy bar
국내 최고의 bar중 하나. Speakeasy 스타일로 입구에서부터 기대감을 가지게 한다. 평균적인 곳들보다 우아한 느낌이 강한 인테리어에 전문적이고 친절한 바텐더와 크루들. 씨그너처칵테일과 잔술 보틀도 다양함. 지속 유명세때문인지 손님이 너무 많이 늘어난 느낌이 있고, 가격도 높은편이지만 위스키, 칵테일을 즐기는 사람은 꼭한번 가봐야할곳.

滞在したホテルのスタッフさんに紹介いただいたバーです。バーのエントランスには本棚がありました。本棚の本を押すと扉が開くというからくりで、隠れ家のような演出が面白い。 " Yeouido Sling " というカクテルをおすすめされていただきました。桜色のカクテルが提供されると、バーテンダーさんが私に向かい扇子で風を送ってくれるサプライズ。カクテルから淡く甘い桜の香りがふわりと漂ってきます。春に外を散歩しているような気分を味わえる素敵なカクテルでした。
Nice bar but a little over priced
Great cocktails and selection of whisky in a " speak easy " setting where you have to press a certain book in a shelve to enter. Has its charm in an alley in Cheongdam. However, definitely not a place to drop by for a drink since there is a cover per head..
Full During weeekends
It's packed during weekend you need to wait for a long queues... LOL. Who wants to ques just to have a drinks! 🤪
Classy Bar. Very Pricey but delicious
The bar is modeled after a nice, upscale US Speak Easy. The bar is not very large, however it looks like it was meant for smaller crowd. The drink and cocktail menu is impressive and provided in old hardcover books. The drinks are carefully made by experienced mixologist. A couple of drinks throughout the night will probably come out to $100-200 depending on the drinks ordered. Make reservations if you expect a large group, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. The bar staff speaks English.
Slightly mixed feelings about this particular luxurious " speakeasy "
My local companion & I were happy that Le Chamber was located within easy walking distance of our evening dinner venue. We easily found the stairs down to the basement area and a small ante room made to look like a tiny library. Entry to the cocktail bar is gained through choosing the correct book on one of the shelves. On doing so the door slides open to reveal a dimly lit, intriguing, cosy bar. Finding the right book was not really a major challenge, particularly as hints were easily available from the other hopeful visitors who had to wait outside for a free table or seat at the bar. I guess that on the Friday we visited it was inevitable that we would need a little patience before gaining entrance. Our wait must have been ca. 20 minutes after which we were ushered to the first table by the door. Ugh... After a short while we were re-seated in two large, leather Chesterfield armchairs facing each other across a low table. Actually the configuration of the main part of this establishment was not really that conducive for any intimate discussions with one's drinking partner. I could easily have started up a conversation with one of the drinkers on either side of me - we were that close. Anyway, our first decision was to decided whether we wanted still or sparkling mineral water (San Pellegrino) which I later discovered came with the 10.000 Won cover charge here We were also offered two rather large bowls of some high end spicy snacks We then made the difficult job of choosing a cocktail. I struggled with my choice of a cocktail. We got some help from a kneeling, heavily tattooed young man and in the end I went for the Gatsby cocktail which came with a free photo of a grinning Leo de Caprio pegged to my glass. At 27.000 Won I don't recall ever drinking so slowly... My drinking companion also sipped slowly on her cocktail which I thought was very thoughtful of her... In the background you had the sultry tones of the live pianist and the hushed conversations of your neighbouring drinkers. Of course, you can only make a small cocktail last so long. Neither of us was that keen on extending our stay much longer. There were no recognisable K-Pop stars in that tonight & it had been a long day. We were sure that our places would be eagerly snapped up by other guests waiting in the library. By the way, I think that the men's washroom was the smallest I'd been in for a long time. No chance to swing a cat in there - let alone anything else :-)
Fun Bar with Great Drinks!
You know that it is going to be a fun place when you have to first find the secret entrance! Located behind a bookcase, this little bar is a delight! We did not make a reservation (mistake), but they found us a seat at the bar. If we had come later, I think we would have been out of luck, so make a reservation. The bar tenders were fun and engaging. You must order the Chamber Story... it is worth the price. We also tried the Chamber Mule and the Porn Star Martini. For snacks, we got a cheese and fruit plate which was really cool with unusual cheeses and fruits. I give this a MUST GO, but don't forget to make your reservation
Hidden and great
So if you get a seat, only relax and enjoy it. Ok, its not cheap but the drinks are amazing. The atmosphere in the room and relaxing in the big seat. I love to have a place in the bar and see the bartender working. But it have to be next time.

裝潢沒話說。 非常推薦坐吧台可以跟調酒師聊聊自己的喜好 調酒師英文很好！ 酒當然沒話說！雖然有稍微調整過經典酒譜, 不過味道依舊很棒！(會告知與傳統的差異) 不過價錢實在是有點貴的誇張就是了 不過在江南區, 又有這樣好喝且好的服務 體驗體驗也是很棒的

Wow! Better than the speakeasy places in New York. Incredible experience. Great crowd. Met people working at embassies inside. Must visit when in Seoul. Lots of other food places nearby.
Top of the notch cocktails
I have been a regular since their opening (also hosted a huge party here right after its first opening). Great team great cocktail that brought a wave of " K-Bartenders ".
Enjoy your drink
Great mixologist! Ask them to make what you feel... Custom Blue Blazer with Gin was made. Not sweet and perfectly balanced. Of course standard whiskey served PERFECTLY!
Nice little speakeasy
I have been there on Tuesday, ie not the busiest day for going out. However, bar was quite full and we had to wait for a table for 20 mins. Staff in the bar have been apologising for the wait quite a few times and have been really nice. Really liked the entrance! You have to find the right book to press on in orcder to enter. Bar had an English menu, even though everybody apart from us there have been local. Cocktails pretty good
Bad service
Staff don't care about my request. I request to changed table because my table next to walkway but I waited 1 hours, i sew everybody come and go out bar but don't have effect to me. This's bad service. I don't recommend Le Chamber. It's not worth it.

아무래도 청담이라 커버차지가 만원이에요. 물론 분위기는 최고라고 봅니다. 위대한 개츠비의 스픽이지바 복원판이에요~ 칵테일도 수준급이고... 예약 필수에요~ 전화해서 몇시쯤 갈꺼라고 얘기해놓으면 자리 만들어둡니다.
OMG
This now ranks probably top 10 if not top 5 bars I've been to around the world. Whenever I travel, my go to spots are lounges and speakeasies. The speakeasy game in Korea, especially in the Gangnum area is the best I've seen. The vibe, music, live piano, clientele, the workers, and of course the drinks are top notch. These have been the most expensive drinks I've ever ordered, but in places like this, price means nothing as the experience is well worth it. And you know customer service is good when you return and the bartender remembers you. Amazingly memorable place..
Not that great
I've been to Le Chamber multiple times. And honestly, the drinks weren't that good, the service was terrible, and the environment was not great. All of those things are much better at Alice, just across the street. In addition, Le Chamber has messed up both mine and my friends' orders and bills on multiple occasions. The only cool thing about this place is that it's hidden behind a bookshelf that moves. So, if you're that interested, go open the bookshelf, then head across the street. Seriously, at Alice you'll get significantly better drinks, personable bartenders, and a much better environment.
If you're not Korean, don't expect to be let in
Four of us showed up and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. When one of us (who is Taiwanese) was asked " are you Korean? " and he said he wasn't, the manager then said " sorry, we're full ". I'd like to think he was only asking so that he could speak to us in Korean, but the other three in our party all felt a strong anti-foreigner message in the manager's message, mainly because his English was very good and he didn't need to switch to Korean. Luckily, there are several other speakeasies on the same street, so we ended up having a great time at Alice, which we'd recommend. Shame.
Suprise whiskies
My husband and I went specifically for the whisky and were definitely not disappointed. It was a little hard to find and the secret door was great, stumped my husband when he tilted the book and the door didn't open. We spent a good 5 or so hours trying whiskies not available in Australia. It's well known for cocktails which we didn't really try other than a whisky sour which was fantastic. An upscale bar with large leather chairs lining the bar, professional staff and great atmosphere. A little weird having a curtain as a toilet door, I still don't get it.
Molto chic
Molto bello, dall'entrata segreta per accedere al bar, all'atmosfera e l'ambiente direi tutto molto chic. 2 gin tonic 60.000won che non è proprio pochissimo però ne vale la pena come esperienza a Seoul
A real speakeasy
Located in the apgujeong / cheongdam area this speakeasy is the basement of a building and can be a little hard to find (especially at night when it's raining cats and dogs). When you go downstairs you are in a small room (library) with a bookshelf on one side of the room. You need to find the right book and press it (clue - the name of the bar..) once the wall slides away you are in a very high end bar with drinks that are swayed to whisky. There are a number of other drinks but my favourite that you must try is the name sake of the bar (not sure if it's on the menu though but ask them for it - it comes in a box with smoked bark). Like most bars you need to pay a cover charge per person - it's standard. The drinks here are good and the atmosphere is what people will come back for. 유일하게 바스러움을 가지고 시작하고 유지하는 Only one authentic bar in Seoul
청담동 B28 Seoul, 루팡과 함께 시작한 청담동의 1세대 바입니다. (커피바 케이는 지금의 계보의 원조였으나 청담동에서 없어지고 다른 곳에 이전) 그 후에 다른 바들이 많이 생겼으나 차이 점을 들자면 이 바의 오너들이 다른 일부 바들 처럼 투자를 받거나 메이킹을 하지 못해서 고용 바텐더를 두고 운영을 하는 바가 아닌 매일 출근하여 꾸준히 메이킹을 하는 오너 바텐더라는 점과 젊은 바텐더들을 바자체에서 교육하면서 일본의 유수한 바처럼 도제제도로 메이킹을 시키고 있다는 점입니다. 바텐더라는 직업의 진입장벽자체가 그리 높지 않기 때문에 누구나 바텐더는 할 수는 있지만 아무나 제대로 된 바텐딩을 할 수 있지는 않다는걸 보여줍니다. 메이킹을 하는 제일 젊은 경력의 바텐더도 어지간한 서울 시내 고급 호텔 칵테일 수준은 충분히 됩니다. 겉으로 보이는 화려한만큼 물밑의 열심히 하는 발길질하는 노력을 느낄 수 있는 바입니다. 서비스나 손님 접객 또한 훌륭한 편이고 자리가 몰릴 때는 몰리는 편이니 미리 예약하고 가시는 것이 좋습니다. 대한민국 최고의 칵테일 바에서 좋은 날에 한 잔 하시는 것도 나쁘지 않으실 듯 합니다.
Classy Atmosphere
Mixologists and staff are top notch. This operator simply " gets it ", elegant, exclusive, and a great atmosphere. They will even arrange for food to be delivered from outside the bar if one is interested in a full meal.
Great place! Impressive drinks!
Very impressive place, with high class in everything they do. From the bartenders to the drinks. As people write, its quite expensive, but its worth every penny you pay for the very good drinks and also a great atmosphere.
Great speak easy!
Great cocktails, prompt, polite service attentive servers. Wide selection of drinks, specialty cocktails and wide selection of wine n whiskey. Also decent complimentary chips. Little expensive, but totally worth it! Great atmosphere also! Cannot rave enough about it!
Great bartender!
No doubt very expensive but great drinks. I ordered Vodka Green Apple but it was unfortunately way too strong for me. The female bartender recognise it and immediately ask for permission to adjust it. Still to strong, she then kinda know I would like to drink and mixed me something else that indeed suits my taste. Very professional and no extra charge for this. As already mentioned by others, the location is out of the busy roads, the venue special (hidden behind book shelfs), the interior classy (leather seats, etc.). There is a kind of a fee 10k Won pp which includes a bottle of water (if sparkling it's a San Pellegrino) and tasty crisps (for me at least).
비밀스러운 바
책장에 꽃여있는 책을 만지면 출입구가 열리는 특이한 구조를 가진 바입니다. 서비스는 매우 훌륭하나 입장료를 인당 만원씩 지불하여야하는 특이한 시스템을 운영합니다. 가격은 다소 비싸나 특이한 컨셉을 보이고 싶을때 좋습니다.
Whiskey Bar Good Enough for JYP
There aren't many speak easy bars that " WOW " me, but this intimate and swanky place definitely " WOWs " me. The entrance is one of a kind - you're faced with a book-shelf. To get in, you have to pull the correct book. Once found, the door opens and wha-la! You're in. Weekends are packed here. I've had the pleasure of occasioning this place on 5, maybe 6 times. Out of those times, I saw JYP, the K-pop wonder, 4-times. What's nice is that no one cares that he's there. Anyhow. If you're looking to impress a date, or just have a nice night out with buddies, check out Le Chamber.
Nice place, outrageously expensive
Great bar with a lovely speakeasy feel (including a novelty bookshelf entrance). Good drinks, excellent choice and wonderfully mixed cocktails. Staff are also very professional, it's very expensive however, but you kind of get what you pay for.
First class drinks & ambience
Be ready to pay up, cause this place is not cheap. It is however worth every penny. Classy, dinner lights, nice leather seats, low jazz music, and of course the drinks. I tested the bartender's skills with an Old Fashioned and it hit the spot. One of the best and creative presentation of a drink I can recall. Saturday night with out a reservation and t took I'd 15 mins to get a table, and while we were waiting for seats, the waiter arrived with a few drinks to pass time with.
Nicely done speak easy
I still don't get where its half French, half English name comes from, but Le Chamber is a speak easy worth visiting. The entrance is (as you expect) different from others and when you enter you have this moment of " sudden wow ". It resembles a proper gentlemen's club including couches and well dressed staff. A little bit overpriced, but that's part of the deal. The only thing that annoyed me was the television, please turn it off.
청담동, 분위기 있는 바
전에는 30대가 많았는데, 요즘은 20대 중반 후반도 많고 40대도 종종 보여서 좀 시끄러워요. 가격은 칵테일 기준 2만원 후반부터 시작하고, 위스키 바틀부터해서는 50만원~인거같아요. 화장실도 이쁘고 음악도 좋고, 바텐더 분들도 착하시고 좋아요! 그래서 2호점도 생겼답니당
