Location changed
The location has been changed to haghani highway, next to Tehran Book Garden. Nice to visit but be informed that the traffic infront of the entrance is awful and it would be better to visit by taxi.
It's crazy out there!!
Personally, it is not enjoyable for me to be in such crowded, busy, hot places, so I didn't like it. And there is a good chance someone will steal your wallet or cellphone. But, You can find lots of beautiful, high quality things (literally EVERYTHING) that are hard or impossible to find when you go there. Such bargains. It's worth trying once.
Handicrafts
If you want to see the true genius of Iranian Handicrafts this is the place to visit & buy souvenirs
Besuch blickt man einigermaßen durch, wo man was findet.
Treasure for antique and unique items in Tehran
This market only opens on Friday. starts at 8-9 pm till afternoon. You can find various item, from antique, arts, handicrafts, garments, furniture, old watch / clock, toys, decorative items, paintings, carpets, scarf, and the list goes on and on and on. It is situated in a large parking lot, so don't expect mall style shopping. It is not only the shopping but also the experience that makes cou want to keep coming back. Prices are incredibily cheap compares to shops in town / malls.
Little high the price
This bazaar operates only friday if I understood well whatever we went there friday morning and it was crowded. But the bazaar in unique there lots of old stuffs and it is huge like 8 or 9 floor
A good attraction !
Every city needs a bazaar just like this and it can be a really fun day if you get up early on a Friday and arrive there before 8:30 a. m. You will find some old banknotes, vinyl records, kilims / carpets, Persian handicrafts and.. that can be easily taken home in your small briefcases! And there are some snack bars who sell cheap meals like falafel, maybe some kinds of sandwiches and also local drinks (of course non-alcoholic!) that you will find most of them delicious! As the last point, Just remember to bargain, bargain and bargain!
Bazaar Parvaneh
This place is just a parking and you may find lots of people with parking sales style. they provide you second hand old antiques and old fashioned things. you may find hippie style clothes and carpets and bags and shoes and even jewels like dream catchers. you can also buy some piece of arts. this place works from 9am to 3pm in Friday.
Jomeh Bazaar
when you travel to Iran and free time on Friday you can visit there. the market takes place in a parking that is changed into a market just on Friday from morning to night.
Colorful bazar
Friday is the weekend in Iran so this parking transfere its application into a one day bazar where you can find some sorts of handicrafts from eastern part of Iran, some old materials left from granmas house, a colorful stage of varieng textils and.. dont miss the cosy but eccentric and unusual fair in fridays.
Ancient with diffrent varieties
Tehran municipality have dedicated this place (which is an almost big parking with 8 floor) for small businesses, these business owners come together every fridays for selling diffrent variety of goods containing hand made bags, ancient furnisher, dream catcher! etc... that could be fun :)
Memories
This is one of the amusing place in Tehran, Where you can find so many old things that belong to so many years ago! And also you can find artistic clothing and accessories made by young iranian artists! You won't regret if you visit this place
Flea market where you can buy absolutely anything here
You can spend such a long time just wandering around this market, it's huge, like 8 floors of treasure hunting huge. Its in a car park near the corner of Jomhuri-ye Eslami Ave and Ferdosi St and is where hawkers from across Iran and Central Asia come to lay out their rugs to sell whatever they can on Friday mornings. It's so crowded and has been compared with Portobello in London. The higher floors of the car park can hide the best bargains, don't just do the first floor. If your in Tehran on a Friday you definitely have to go and find yourself a bargain, enjoyed this better than any of the other touristy bazaars. I dare you to walk out of there without buying anything.
Turkman bazaar
The sister of my Persian friend and host insisted we visit this place. It only operates on Fridays in a parking garage that goes up 5 stories. Lots of old stuff, second hand, but also clothes and Turkman jewelry and bags and carpets and heaps of other stuff, very crowded so you need to get the elbows out and dive in. Not a good place with a hangover : (. I got some great handmade bags and silver jewelry really cheap.
Fake antique mall!
Most of things that sold in this bazaar are fake. The new things that re- shap and offer for antique ones will seen every corner. But the atmosphere is amazing. Go there for fun not for finding antique things
What in the world might you find here
As much as I enjoyed all the many wonders of Iran, this was the most outrageous, fun event I attended. I am so into flea markets. G. sales etc, that I couldn't believe my eyes when I enterered this three story garage filled with, it seemed, everything. I had just read of this on the plane and knew i it would be the only opportunity, as it was our only Friday in Tehran and even though we were dead tired, we raced to arrive in time. If this is the kind of activity you enjoy, and you're not intimidated by real surging crowds of serious shoppers, don't pass up this opportunity to mingle with the masses and maybe find a treasure you didn't even knew existed. GO!, seriously, make it a priority. Even if you buy nothing (I only bought 2 pairs of whole dried baby pomegranate earrings), the experience is unbeatable.
Old and crowded but worth to visit
a very crowded place in the downtown (near metro: Sadi station). You can find anything with different prices. Clothes, radio, carpet, shoes, glasses, handmade stuffs and many other thing that most of them are old.
Interesting
I've visited here so many times. Jomeh bazaar is a fantastic plase for finding whatever you want. I must say though it used to be so much better. You could only see old stuff and handmades and crafts. But it's different now. It's full of ordinary clothes and shoes. There are still some people who sell antiques and handmades though and it's so cool an interesting
U can find strange things here
This place is located in jomhuri street in inside the great parking of parvane. The parking have 1000 space in the week but in Fridays the whole parking become a Friday market with 1000 shops.. U can find everything here I really mean it everything ! Dress, carpet, sunglasses, furniture, statue of hitler, red army mask, newspaper of 100 years ago, shoes belong to ww2, jewelry and a lot more (in a Persian proverb that says u can find everything here from chicken milk to human life) As a person who don't like shopping I enjoyed here a bit, so if u r a shopping lover u might love here too!
Old and new
This place is a lot of fun for those who like the thrill of hunting down a treasure. We found old albums as well as new clothing.
Best thing to do on Friday
visiting jumeh bazaar on the Friday morning is the most amazing thing you can do! There are 3 different floors that you can almost find everything you imagine. From all sort of hand made and crafts to some old and antique stuffs which are all unique and awesome.
Great selection of Iranian, Russian, and European bric-a-brac
A really fun bazaar with some gems for those with the patience to look. For Tehran's, it is not just a flea market, it also a place to buy jewellery, clothes etc. This makes it a wonderful spot for people watching. Make sure you see all the floors. As a bonus, there are huge collections of LPs from the 70s and 80s, with various rock, pop, jazz and soul classics!
Jomeh Bazaar
Antique, Old handcraft and Funny things
Every Friday at Parvaneh Parking, Jomhouri Ave, from 8:30 to 14:00, there is a Jomeh Bazaar, which you will love it. You can find old and antique things, coins, stamps, cup,... The place is parking during the normal days, but on Fridays, it converts to amuzing and crowded Bazaar. It is better to take cab for transportation, because you can not find any place for your car. I recommend to have a sandwich and a bottle of water with yourself. and also if you like any thing to buy, ask for discount.
More a flea market than a bazar
Only on Fridays you find the Jomeh Bazaar in a multi-level garage. Here you find compressed in a small area a huge diversity of used and new products. Having seen many bazars, this one makes a huge difference and should be visited if possible!
Find every thing you want
The Jomeh Bazar is placed at the center of Tehran, it has every thing, for example hand crafts, traditional things. It has very nice for visit.
Do not miss this market!
Open only on Fridays, this market is held in a parking garage and is a few metres away from Saadi metro station. The sooner you go there (8-9 A. M.) the easier it is to walk around. If you want to see Iranian antiques and handicrafts, you should not miss this.
top of the list of shopping in the capital
This market in a multi story car park is organized like a department store. You have antiques and junk on the ground level, then move into pottery, household goods, then up to material and clothing, and further to rugs, carpets etc. Most of the traders have been on site for over a decade, and occupy the same location every week, so you can visit your favorite seller at the same place as last time. The antiques have become pricier since years past, with a lot of fake antiques to be aware of. Over all, it is a crowded bussling place, which requires stamina to properly enjoy. There is even a food outlet, with traditional Iranian food on one level, to relax and eat something, before continuing the shopping. Large items, like rugs, can be delivered to your home, by the traders. An enjoyable way to spend a Friday, and even better if the weather is bad, as it is in a covered car park.
Worth once try
There are lots of amazing stuff u can find there stuff u can't find in stores like anything u can imagine too old dishes or handmade stuff anything like 100 kinds! But the problem is there are lots of people there and it's like hell crowded u barely can see marketers!! And it is too hard to go through all of it and they might be overpriced
Too much of everything
Many tourists look for souvenirs in cities other than Tehran, but if you are here, don't miss Jomeh Bazar. Here the are the best of souvenirs that there are in other cities. The Bazar is in a huge, multi-floor parking area. There are thousands of things, all hand made and colorful. As to me I immedeately bought a quilt with camel embroidery, very much original.
