Very nice place to relax
It is a chain but they seem to maintain a vey high standard of service and quality of food throughout their outlets. Very nice place to relax and have a nice coffee with some pastry.
Excellent place to come in Pokhara
During my stay, I was truly impressed by the excellent meals, warm hospitality, and outstanding service. Every dish was carefully prepared, bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every need was met, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with kindness and professionalism, making me feel right at home. The attention to detail in both the food and the service was remarkable. Dining while admiring the stunning view of Pokhara Lake made the experience even more unforgettable. It's an experience I am not likely to forget.
Worst cafe in pokhara
Staff was so rude. He does not now the way how to talk to a customer. Staff is not given order when I asked about my order he said I forgot and misbehaved with me and said that do what you want to do. Kindly don't visit Himalayan Java coffee pokhara.

a year ago I highly recommend Himalayan Java Coffee to anyone visiting Phokhara Nepal. It is simply the best coffee shop around, with excellent coffee, a cozy ambiance, and friendly staff.

Very limited vegetarian options. I ordered veg burger but there was a peculiar smell coming. Coffee was good though. The cafe was too hot and AC was not working properly
Rude staff, extremely dispointing
Extremely dispointing. rude staff, terrible service. dont go especially when you are alone. They are keep chatting all the time, and ask you to fill in the review sheet like you have to and getting very rude if you refuse to.

They Say they have Macha latte but they make use pay for a café latte and 2 additiononal Flavour 500r for it it's a scam i don't recomand
Good service
The Himalayan java coffee that I visited was just next to the darbar square and sitting in the last floor it gave a good view of the new classical building that once was kings palce.
Go for the caffeine!
Sometimes all you need is a good, strong cup of coffee, and Himalayan Java is the place we went to several times during our stay in Pokhara. Sipping consistently good coffee at an open air, upstairs table, watching the world go by down below was really enjoyable. The service too was excellent. Just one note of caution - avoid the loo if you can. It isn't in the restaurant, and let's just say, is an interesting experience!

Amazed with wonderful service
Today i visited Himalayan Java Pokhara. I had some documents to submit as well as i wanted a better place to spent time. The staff, Ravi was really kind and incredibly wonderful to help and provide warm service. Thanks Himalayan Java and Ravi. Hope to visit both again. Perfecto.
10 percent service charge with no service and generally overrated
I have been here before and put up with service charge when waiters actually do their jobs, how in this country VAT is calculated and we pay VAT on service charge too is beyond me but i tolerated this until during the pandemic there was only take away service. So i stand at the counter order a coffee and i'm charged 10 percent service - for what? Maybe i should charge 10 percent discount because i had to stand there and wait for the coffee to be made. I told staff that this is not fair and they said " company policy " without any option to refund service charge for non existent service. So this has breached my tolerance level - in Pokhara there are other coffee houses which do not treat you like this. General I have found Himalayan Java overrated but ok - however this broke my tolerance - i won't be back There are several smaller privately run coffee houses where the welcome is great, coffee is better and none of this service charge / VAT malarkey
Best Coffee Around
The Himalayan Java Coffee house had the best coffee around Pokhara. The shop is quiet, clean and has an outdoor sitting area to enjoy your coffee and people watch. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The muffins here are also very good. If you like your coffee rich in flavour, piping hot and served with a smile, this is the place you cannot miss.

Breakfast Coffee
Clean and in a lovely quiet spot. The WiFi and the coffee are good. Staff clean and obliging. Early morning coffee here is a must if you are setting off for the day trekking, paragliding or catching a flight to KATHMANDU.

Local coffee chain with nice coffee with all usual selection, nice decor and good snacks. Banana muffin heated and blueberry cheese cake were selected and both really tasty. Very helpful staff. Branches in Kathmandu as well all in prominent locations
Nice terrace
We saw the nice terrace in the sun and decided to sit down for coffee. We both ordered a cappuccino, nice and warm, 460 rupees (3, 75 euro). Friendly service. No toilet in the shop. Ok public toilets in the nearby shopping mall.

Bad service! Never got my coffee!
I went to meet friends. I ordered a coffee while I was waiting for them to arrive. They came 10 minutes later. We had to wave a waiter over to take our order; then it took 45 minutes to receive food. I NEVER received the coffee I ordered an hour before! 7 staff were standing around yawning. It's the second time it's happened and I wont go back now. Check out Machapuchari coffee or the White Rabbit. Much better service!
Slow, apathetic service
Walked in after we saw a sign for " good breakfast ". Alas, after waiting for an hour I had to cancel my breakfast order and walk out because everyone around us kept getting their meals despite arriving after us. Definitely won't be going back there again
Shocking service and management
I waited just short of 1 hour for my breakfast while other people who had been there 10 minutes were receiving sandwiches. I'd almost finished my food when my girlfriend cancelled her order with no empathy shown by the staff. By far the worst service I have had while in Nepal

Awesome Espresso, Views, & Staff. Bravo!
I have been using this as my mobile office in Pokhara because the espresso is so yummy and the views, especially at sunset, are mind blowing. The staff is quite young, often singing along to the pop and hip hop music, but very sincere and try hard to make sure everything is just right. I'm addicted to espresso and a snob about it too; their espresso macchiato is so good I lick the cup. The other day the Internet was weak and a staff member let me use his phone to get a code for another network. Overall great vibe.
Good classic choice but could be better
Place is nice and clean and comfy with a good view over the Lake. Coffee is very good although a bit overpriced compared to the choices around but nothing too bad. Staff is good, there's always so many of them. The really bad aspect of this place is its toilets, they don't have any... you have to cross the street every time to use a public toilet that is very filthy... it's really not on par with such a " fancy " and expensive establishment, they should really do something about it...

Best coffee spot
If you are a coffee person, this is the best coffee that you will find in Nepal. In fact, buy a couple bags of beans because it is still one of my favourites in the world! The service staff can be quite busy so just make sure you get their attention. I was really happy with the breakfast I had their and the brownie with ice cream is amazing!

Himalayan Java serves the best coffee in Nepal. They have their Coffee shop most of the places in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Their coffee is pure Nepalese and taste is excellent.
Rip off
Asked for 2 espressos and waited for the barista to make them. Took them myself to table snd got charged 10 percent service charge. When i barista i dont mind paying for a service but no service was given. He said its our policy. Himalayan Java management with the prices you charge compare to other places surely you can pay your staff accordingly.

This is just perfect! for when you go to Pokhara, a great coffee, great service but above all great view! Just make sure you visit the cafe at the Plaza (cause theres another little coffee shop down the street) this is the place to go for a quiet afternoon full of coffee and dreaming out loud! By the way, the Chai is not very good here, so just make sure to order any coffee on the menu or any dessert on the cart

very good coffee
I suggest trying the local brew, its a great cup of coffee when the day is cool and the evening is setting in. The coffee shop has a nice sitting spot and the service is very prompt and efficient.

Great coffee and selection of snacks
Great coffee and selection of snacks to start the day if you're prepared to pay that little bit extra. Food was tasty and plentiful, had a sandwhich which was massive as well as tasty. Very friendly staff and great view over the lake. Recommend for chillin', breakfast or meeting up with friends for coffee and hot drinks.

we only had 2 days in Pokhara, but we had to return to this place to get more coffee, because it tasted great. we are coffee lovers and also took some back home with us. absolutely recommend this place to all who like classic espresso to experimental coffee making techniques.

As noted in their website, this is a chain. Won't go to the one in Thamel, but will consider returning to the store in Boudhanath. definitely won't go back to the one here in Pokhara. A very pretentious organization that although they have a very glossy image control, makes me not want to return. Service was deplorable and coffee was less than best, not worth what one is paying. I have been coming to Nepal for 15 years and there are now so many coffee stores, especially independently owned little ones, I wouldn't recommend this chain.

Great coffee
Great coffee all day. Amazing view of the lake and mountain while sipping your coffee. Good breakfast as well. The hot chocolate was a little too sweet for my liking, they add a little too much sugar syrup / honey to it. Maybe remind the staff if you want your drink less sweet.

Nach einer langen Trekkingtour, bei der wir nur Tee getrunken haben, erfreuten wir uns an den verschiedenen Kaffeesorten. Der Kuchen, für Nepal eher untypisch, ist sehr gut.
Completely Modern Coffee Shop

Breakfast is nice. Muesli what we had expected not that much nice but not bad too. From balcony super nice view. staff is so kind and smile. Restaurant is so clean.

View is good (but cannot say it is the best) I liked the sausage very much than other restaurant, but hash brown was a bit oily. Still it was very good because it was very clean cafe and staff was quite kind and polite. Definitely good place for breakfast.

The honey latte was excellent. It was layered with honey in the bottom with a beautiful presentation. Great view ic the lake. Quiet getaway.

Best coffee and service!
Just wow! We recommend this place for all coffee lovers! (they have soy milk**) The service is great, the waiter who served us once brought us a cappuccino which while hanging to us spilled a bit, so he went and brought new one without hesitation. They serve very delicious TLT sandwich (tuna) and other good food. Recommend!
Good place, average taste :)
First of all i love to be here (pokhara), and being at himalayan java coffee i guess is a good option. A modern style coffee shop with (maybe) local taste. The taste itself is not bad, neither outstanding, so if u like to get coffee in a modern shopping place in pokhara (after taking paragliding or shopping around the city), himalayan java coffee may be your good option, as i did :)
Evening tea at the terrace
Had a lovely mint tea at the terrace while watching the lights on the opposite side of the lake and there was a person playing the guitar- live music :)

Best place for coffee in Nepal!
I have visited the coffee shop several times and they keep impressing me! I am very keen on coffee and therefore I had high expectations to this place. Especially considering the great reviews on TripAdvisor. I ordered a beautiful ristretto. It came with a shot of water and tiny piece of their delicious brownie. Not bad for 90 rupees hay! Today I went for breakfast and that was amazing. I had muesli with fresh fruit and a cappuccino and I must say it is the best breakfast I've had in Nepal. 📷kristianenne

My Second Home
I've been coming to Pokhara Nepal for around 6 months a year, the cafe has become my second home. Being a coffee enthusiast and barista, I can speak from experience that the coffee is great and incredably fresh. I find myself in the cafe everyday for a few hours. Im a photographer and filmmaker and the space allows me to be comfortable and creative without having to worry about power cuts or wifi speed to get my content out. The staff is incredibly on task, friendly and knowledgable about the city and attractions. The space is beautiful overlooking Fewa lake from any seat.
great cofffee and friendly service
While taking in the view of the lake, I drank their nepalese fresh brew straight, It tasted pretty close to Jamaican blue mountain. Quite smooth and no bitterness. My better half enjoyed her cappucino just as much, her banana pancakes were very tasty. The staff is all smiles. The cook handled our allergy issue like a pro, we felt safe. We came back for the same the next morning.
Bad experience.
I sat down at a balcony table and before I could even order, a larger group came in and one of the servers asked me to change my seat -- to give the group the better view. The place was nearly empty, so there were many, many seats available... I thought it was in poor taste to displace someone like this. I am Asian and the group was Western... and I have to wonder if things would have played out differently if it was the other way around? I also thought the group should have known better -- it was clear that I was getting kicked off the table so that they could have the better seats. They just said " thanks " and sat down... while I decided to just walk out and go somewhere else for coffee.
Beautiful Place
I was about to meet a friend after long and we came here for some sandwiches. Both the ham and salami sandwiches were delicious and the service was quick as well. Interior was cosy and we had a good time here having a long chat with the beautiful view of the lake. The only letdown was they rushed for the bill which seemed rude to me. (maybe because we occupied the tables for a long time-but they weren't fully occupied though)

Excellent coffee
This is one of the best coffee houses in Pokhara. Coffee is excellent and the ambience is comfortable, with a good view of the lake and both indoor and outdoor seating. They were playing loud music when went and we asked them to turn it way down and maybe put on something a little mellower, which they obligingly did. I didn't care much for the cheesecake, but some of the other desserts were really good. It appears that they train baristas there, as well.

After a warm day in pokhara it is a great place to relax and refresh while enjoying some sweet treats. Their blueberry smoothie is really refreshing.

All kind of coffees drinks available there, hot, iced, blended. Pastries are good but average. You can enjoy their comfy coach and western trendy atmosphere or the terrace while watching the great view of the lake.
Super friendly and the best coffee in Pokhara
Really friendly staff but when i asked for a peppermint tea i was given hot water with a few peppermint leaves which even after 15mins still tasted like hot water! After asking for some more leaves, i was given an entirely new pot with exactly the same situation so the language barrier was an issue. I drank my hot water.. The coffees are amazing though!
Fresh Muffin with Hot Coffee
Compared to many other Pokhara Cafe that provide tea time sweets stuff, this is one of the best for its freshness. The muffin is really moist and soft compared to those outside which is either too dry and crusty or just plain too sweet. Many time I tried to advise them, " Chinni, Ali, ali " still they continued with " Derai, Derai Chini " they probably thought that foreginers like very sweet. Your attending staff and counter staff are also very helpful and friendly. Nice place to relax at the LakeSide. Keep it up, Dhai.
Great coffee and cozy place
I really like the atmosphere here. It has a great view and provides great coffee. The coffee tastes original and truly fulfilling your need. I like also the interior design of the cafe, with quite wider seat arrangements that make you comfortable and relax.

Gold WiFi chillout spot
We visited himalayan java coffee in Thamel and Pokhara and were a bit dissappointed that the didn't have soymilk available in Pokhara to make vegan coffee drinks. The Atmosphere is clean and comfortable with pretty views out to the lake. I wish the menu was a bit more extensive to be able to enjoy some good food with our coffee.
Tasty coffee with a view
Conveniently located at the Lakeside center. Our iced coffee and iced caramel macchiato were very good; before our visit, we were sceptical about ice cube drinks in Nepal, but they only use filtered water for brewing and ice so it is perfectly safe. Very nice staff, and a great view of the lake to accompany your coffee. Rather pricey, but worth a visit!
Brekky or brunch
I have been here several times and always found the staff friendly helpful and always try to make it as relaxed as possible, The food is good small menu but tasty. One point is it never seems to change or have 'specials' which may help Coffee is good and it is real coffee, remember this is Nepal, and real coffee is not yet everywhere Good choices of flavours and caffeine hits Well done HJC
The best coffee place in Pokhara
Honestly this place could be straight off a street in my hometown of Brisbane. Staff are very attentive, the coffee and drinks are perfectly brewed and the place is super modern. A nice place to relax at the end of the night with a good view of the lake. Try the iced lemon!

Great coffee, great scenery
Himalayan java coffee in Pokhara is located in a small mall called Lakeside Centre. They offer great coffee. (Very aromatic coffee) at affordable price range. Great view facing the Phewa Lake, good music, good wifi connection. It is one good place for you to fix your modernization cravings. Cosy, quiet and comfortable. Will recommend one to come and chill and read a book after a long hike.
Great vibe and coffee
I've come to Java every day since arriving in Pokhara. It's nice to have good quality coffee and a reasonably quiet place to get work done with a lake view. The wifi is decent and they have a good variety of teas, coffee, sandwiches and desserts.

The staff here are all attentive and fun. A great meeting place for all ages- when the power I on the watermelon juice is great. They will do half shots if you don't like your coffee strong. Very accomodating
Their caffe latte price was good but the can of 300ml sprite is a loot
I have paid Rs 200 for a 300ml can of sprite at this place which is a shameful price. The same thing we can get at the price of Rs 75 on the street. On top of that, total money still I have to pay 10% service charge and 13% VAT. Why is this happening or are Lakeside Business only for Loot? Is it actually inside the Business ethics that this sort of pricing system is ok for the customer? If they are charging extra Rs 125 plus 23% service charge just for the can of 300ml sprite then how much this sort of Business is paying Tax to Nepal Government. But, I love their coffee and they are really organic and also the taste are world class standard... cheers
Delicious Coffee in Pokhara Lakeside
2nd time I visit the cafe. The coffee is brilliant and tasty. The staff very friendly. And you have a Beautiful View over Phewa Lake :-)
TOP restaurant!
Heerlijk restaurant, lekker aan het meer, mooi interieur en mooi terras, fijne sfeer. Ontzettend lieve medewerkers. Ik was hier tijdens de aardbeving en ze boden ons zelfs aan in het restaurant te slapen snachts als we niet naar onze hotels durfden. Top restaurant! Ben hier wel 10 keer geweest inmiddels

What a fine place!!
I am a regular visitor of this coffee joint and I must say I have nothing short of good words to share. This is the best place to be if you dig good coffee. It is not only whats in the menu that makes you want to revisit but the breathtaking view of Fewa Lake has its own magnetic pull. From their sumptuous sandwiches to their coffee, everything is down to a tee. What a great place to get real coffee. The staff were so friendly and only too happy to supply power points for chargers. It is great to see staff who give the impression that they want to be there. Well done
Stunning, modern and yummy
This place is beautiful. It has a fine blend of modern interiors, authentic himalayan coffee and a spectacular view of the Fewa lake in Pokhara. Do try their brownies.

Fantastic coffee and Cookies!
This has to be the best coffee place in town! Staying in pokhara for 3 days, once we found this place, we came every morning for our proper coffee fix! The espresso and cappuccino were excellent and made from local organic coffee beans. Try a cookie, as they were delicious! The staff here are friendly and helpful.. Always greeted like a friend. This place is a must for coffee lovers!

Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, stunning views. Excellent iced blended coffees and good walnut brownies. I lingered here several afternoons. Great location.

went with friends for 1st time himilayan java coffee... good taste of coffee.. friendly staff... luxuries style.. no back pani while sitting... altogether every thing was perfect..
