VERY GOOD.. BUT..!!!
Our first experience with Ginsoy Live over 4 months ago had been great so it was time for a revisit. The buffet was still popular but lo and behold, there had been some slippages! There were no Butterfly Prawns in the Live Starters (we got them only after I mentioned this to the Manager) ; the steamed won-tons were served after multiple reminders and there was only one serving of Dynamite Prawns between 2 persons instead of 1 each like before. The Tom Yum Soup and Hot & Sour as well as the various entrees were plentiful and delicious, offering a wide variety of prawn, chicken, fish and meat dishes along with a choice of rice and noodles. The desserts had been upgraded since our last visit - definitely good value for money. Now, if only they can work on maintaining consistency of quality!
Good chinese buffet
Visited Ginsoy Live for lunch. A restaurant with good ambience. We were taken to our table which was booked by us. There were two choices of soup that were served on the table. Then a choice if three starters including some fried fish, chicken, fries, wasabi prawn (or dynamite prawns) and prawn on toast. These were again served on the table. There was a reasonable variety of mains including different types of oriental chicken, beef, fish, vegetables and rice and chow mien. For desserts, a reasonable good variety of items on display table. Overall good service, good food and reasonable price.
Perhaps the best buffet Chinese in Karachi
Ginsoy Live is perhaps the best buffet Chinese food restaurant in Karachi, specially in this price range. The offer a good variety of dishes covering all ends, sea food, veges, beef and chicken, deserts etc. The quality of cooking is quite good and one is tempted to overeat. We were specially impressed with the number of prawn / shrimp, fish and crab dishes. All were well cooked and serving was in plenty. Deserts were great too. A good value for money for those who eat levishly. Will certainly go there again. There is a big parking area outside. Do reserve your seats in advance otherwise you may have to wait up to 45 minutes.
Just another Chinese restaurant
I went on a business lunch and there was ample parking space. However, it is not accessible for differently abled individuals. Food was average Service was great Atmosphere was good If I had seen any live cooking or music there then the term 'LIVE' would've made sense in the restaurant name
with a local touch of spice
Ginsoy Live is a cozzy place serving extreme Chineese restaurant mixed with local taste where Chineese food cooked and served with a local touch of spice and hot chili papper. If you don't like / eat spicy and hot, they have the option to make it şess or non spicy for you.
GREAT!
Superb ambiance and excellent food. Select from the wide range of yummy starters which are then freshly fried and served at your table while you are finishing your soup and salad. The entrees in the buffet offer an enticing array of oriental cuisine - most notable are the red snapper and the crabs. Service is very courteous and efficient. The only area they need to work on is the desserts - while they have a large variety, the items are quite run-of-the-mill and lack the same excitement as the rest of the cuisine! By and large, it provides an excellent dining experience - here's hoping they continue to maintain their quality.
Hi
Went yesterday with a big group of friends. The setup is amazing. They have a wonderful staff and the live music was not a band but only a keroke. Still it kept the guests entertained. The food was good specially the live counter for the fried food. The salads were good. Since I have a sweet tooth was disappointed with the desserts. Over all a good experience.
A must visit !!!
Excellent food, the soup and appetisers were awesome, smiling and welcoming service. The best part was that the food in the buffet was replaced hot each time the dishes were empty. Hasan congratulations to you and your staff of good people. ✅✅✅
Live music; Buffet and choice of starters
Limited space but nice food with live music. They offer chinese starters in fish, prawns and chicken. You choose and five them for final cooking and meanwhile enjoy your soup. Once done with starters go for buffet which is nicely decorated. Staemed red sanpper is lovely. Fried beef is also good.
Excellent food but please do reserve in advance
We were four persons and went on sunday for dinner. We were walk in and had to wait for 45 minutes before getting a table. The concept of this place is Chinese and Thai food buffet. Cost is rs 1700 inclusive of tax per person. Drinks are charged separately. Timings-1pm to 4pm and 7 pm till midnight. They do take reservations but it is only till 9pm. You are served with soup and starters like Dynamite Prawns at the table. It is a self service buffet. The food was excellent with a lot of variety. They also have salad and deserts. The only thing they need to improve is the waiting time estimates, but then again customers should also vacate the tables in the given 2 hours per table limit. They have started high tea from 430pm to 630pm for Rs 1300 but I have not yet tried it
very good
it's a best place to have Chinese food in buffet in Karachi. Some items they cooked in front of you. Recommend for those who love to have fresh cooked Chinese food
Amazing
Ginsoy live is a chinese buffet restaurant and its a must go. Excellent service and good quality. Located on main Bukhari Commercial. The variety of food is great with starters, main courses and desserts
Ginsoy live for Lunch
During our short trip to Karachi we have managed to taken in a few restaurants and cafes. So when we were recommended to try out GinSoy live for lunch, we didn't take too long to decide The new outlet is located on KHY -E - SHUJAAT and KHY-E-Bukhari The restaurant has Valet parking available, although ample self parking is available in the opposite plot. We were a party of 4 and were warmly welcome at by charming your Reservation lady who swiftly offered us to our table. The restaurant was pretty full and we were lucky that just a couple of tables were available Nadeem the order taker quickly introduced himself and explained the Buffet and Starter options Soups were individually ordered Hot and Sour Corn Soup and I ordered the vegetable Soup. While I enjoyed my soup, I enjoyed the the contemporary design of the interior and the modern and comfortable furniture. Normally music you hear is in the background, but was please to have a Live organ player Shahid playing lovely Pakistani tunes of yesteryear. Shahid was also very accommodating in playing tunes on request The buffet is quite extensive and would serve to meet all Carnivores desires. As starters my wife had some dynamite prawns and chicken and Vegetable spring rolls for the table while everybody chose from the Buffet that include Garlic Rice. Egg fried rice. Strip fried vegetables. Prawns Hunan chicken and other beef fish dishes Being a Vegan the only option was Garlic rice and Stir fried vegetables I went for a second round and thsi time tried out the salad bar that had more chances of staying a vegan. Alongside the salad bar was the dessert selection I must say quite tempting, but I gave it a pass and had fruit salad that consisted of water melons sweet melon and some dates. During our enjoyable lunch we were pleasantly surprised by a visit to our table from Ayesha who is the Desserts Chef of GinSoy live She enquired about our lunch experience and I must say all 4 of us gave a big thumbs up. One suggestion I would make and also passed on to her is to perhaps more healthy and alternative options for VEGANS and Vegetarians. Overall the experience with cuisine was good and Service provided by Nadeem was great and I would not hesitate in recommending GINSOY LiVE as a family friendly restaurant
