Never again
Terrible. I got the steak and cheese, and let's just say they charged me for a drink but didn't give me one. The sub was half fat and half meat, mainly dry bread and mushrooms, and I asked for sautéed onions, but what I got was a slice of raw onion. The best part of the meal was the chips, but they were in a bag, so they do not get credit for that. It was a messy, fat, undercooked dry sub, no drink, and a bag of chips. Not worth the money. What a joke for my first time at this place. Oakwood Ga location, and this is this is my first time eating at any of their locations. I will not go back.
Disgusted with Staff
Walked in the restaurant and the first thing that came out of the workers mouth was doordash and Uber eats only.
Unbelievably bad customer service
I will admit it was busy during my visit, but that is no excuse for poor customer service. Somehow my order was overlooked and after waiting an extremely long time for my sandwich I noticed that customers that had arrived well after me were receiving their food. When I inquired about mine, I was told that they had just " dropped it ". I'm assuming that meant that they had placed it in the steamer. When it still didn't come out, I asked again. An employee held up a piece of bread and said " I'm about to make it now. " Having reached my tolerance threshold, I asked for a refund. No apologies were made by any of the employees and a call to customer service was not followed up on.
In the Land of Subs, Firehouse is the King of Steamers
When I saw my local Firehouse Subs was # 144 of 196 restaurants in Smyrna, I had to give them some love! I usually only review sit down, non-chain restaurants, but my local Firehouse deserves better! Try the Hero or Hook 'n Ladder if it's your first time. The staff at this location is always friendly and they don't skimp on the meat as some locations sometimes do. Very kid friendly and plenty of seating in this location. Busy at lunch time with good parking!
Expected more
I expected more from this place of establishment, how the commercials are shown, I just had to visit this place. Not Impressed at all with the subs. I ordered a hook and ladder sub, very mediocre subs. Yes you say they are fully served, lettuce and tomatoes and a slice of pickle is
Stingy
How else can you describe a Pastrami sandwich with so little pastrami that all you can taste is the lettuce? I have been to numerous other Firehouse Sub shops but I would not reccomend or go back to this one. I was very dissapointed.
Online ordering ROCKS!
I work from home and usually don't take a lunch. I decided I had a hankerin' for a sub and so ordered from Firehouse online. Not only was I able to redeem a coupon on the site and pay with my credit card, the order was ready and waiting for me! I didn't have to wait in the long lunch line - when I walked in (for the FIRST time EVER), they said, " You must be Lisa! " I was so impressed I was in and out of there in minutes. The order was accurate and the Hook and Ladder is my new favorite sub. YUM!
Delicious BBQ sandwich
The new BBQ slaw on King's Hawaiin is delicious! I didn't order mine with cheese because I don't care for melted cheese, but I recommend it. It is a little pricy if you order the combo though.
