Best way to experience Jordan is through Experience Jordan Adventures
From first contact to end of trip it was fantastic. Raisa provided us with several options based on price, days we wanted to stay, etc and it all worked out flawlessly. Our trip from Aqaba to Dead Sea and then from Dead Sea to Amman with the excellent driver Mr. Sayel was an amazing experience. Friendly Jordan
During the seven days of my Jordan experience, I was able to see wonderful sites and contact with all the local things that make a trip worthy, from people and places to food. Thanks to our efficient guide Motaz we felt welcome from the very first moment. His knowledge concerning the historical sites, his persistence in fulfiling our needs and wishes, his consistent way of showing us the culture, the food and the diversity of places (from Amman to Petra and Wadi Rum) made our journey absolutely unforgettable. Thank you, Motaz, for your friendly smile, for all you were able to teach us, for the fruit, for the local sweets; thank you for your patience and organization and for your efforts to make us feel safe, happy and integrated. I also have lots of reasons to thank our experimented driver Khaled, who drove us to the different places safely and helpfully. Motaz and Khaled were like our family um Jordan and thanks to them we could see the best of this country.

Incredible hiking and camping experience in Jordan
This trip was absolutely amazing. It is so nice to have a tour that is fully run by locals. Experience Jordan was very professional right from booking online. An informative pre-travel document was sent to us that outlined everything we needed to know about the trip. The company was very easy to contact via email with fast replies from Shushan. Our guide Motaz was everything you could ask for and more in a guide. He was so warm, welcoming and genuine. He had a world of knowledge and knew the answer to every question we asked. He cared about all of us as a group and as individuals. He called us all his family and treated us as such. As a female travelling solo I really appreciated the effort Motaz went to to make us all feel comfortable and welcomed within the group. Our local guides on the trip Ali and Abdullah were also excellent. Ali had us all in stitches the whole time with his jokes. We loved his humour and lively personality. Abdullah looked after our donkey and served us hot tea at every stop with a smile on his face. The 5 day hike was really enjoyable and not too challenging. The views we saw were beautiful. Walking into Petra from the 'back door' was excellent. The campsites along the way during the hike were very comfortable. Laith and his father Mahmoud cooked us delicious meals each night. Huge spreads with many salads, dips, pita bread, rice and meat dishes. We definitely never went hungry! Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea were very cool. Our drivers throughout the trip were great. Everyone we came across during this whole tour were so friendly and made the tour such an enjoyable, once in a lifetime experience. I would highly recommend this tour company and these guides to anyone looking for a tour in Jordan. Thank you to everyone involved in making this tour so enjoyable for me. 🥰
Undoubtedly one we recommend. A challenging authentic trek
My brother and I completed the full Dana to Petra walking trek to take in Wadi Rum and a swim in the Dead Sea. Experience Jordan were excellent with pretty much everything beyond our expectation. The trip itself was a tremendous but the key - the anchor - our leader - Mohaz made everything feel special. His enthusiasm and commitment- his knowledge and his big heart made our time in Jordan standout and memorable. Thank you Mohaz.
A unique trip with the best guide in the world!!!
I can hardly put it into words how incredibly beautiful this trip was and i warmly recommend it to everyone. A trip that you should have done once in your lifetime. Every single part of this journey (Trek from Dana to Petra, Wadirum, Beduincamp and Dead Sea) is breathtaking. The heart of our trip was our guide Motaz, who made these days ABSOLUTELY perfect with his knowledge of the countrey and its people, his boundless care and so much love. We came as strangers and left as FAMILY.
Hike Dana to Petra
What an amazing hike! Every day had new, beautiful views, different challenges and more things to learn. By the time we got to Petra, we'd been so immersed in the environment and knowledge that it felt like going back in time, in a way that arriving by bus will never be able to accomplish. The support staff made our lives easy, from setting up and breaking down camp, feeding us well, carrying water to refill along the way, and ensuring Bedouin tea was always at the ready! Our guide Motaz was a fountain of knowledge, from history to nature to culture. He was open and kind, and really brought the group together. With a group of 15 people from around the world, he made us seamlessly feel like a family. I don't have enough good things to say about his care and generosity throughout the experience. If you're considering this hike, just do it. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
Worth every penny
It's rare that a review is hard to write because the experience has been so wonderful, it's hard to do it justice. Just back from a Dana to Petra hike and couldn't recommend it more. I've never met a guide who genuinely cared so much about making sure we had a good time as Motaz. He thought of things you might need before you did and is a seemingly inexhaustible fountain of knowledge, wonderfully complimented by our very warm and thoroughly kind local guide Ali. A home away from home and I can't thank everyone enough - I would do it all again.
Great experience with wonderful people!
Did the 9-day guided trip (trek + Wadi Rum + Dead Sea) with Motaz as our lead guide. I cannot recommend both Motaz and the trip enough! Motaz was kind, thoughtful, caring, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of, and shared lots of valuable information with us. He also had a phenomenal sense of humor and was a lot of fun to be around. You will be in wonderful hands if you are lucky enough to have him as your guide! The trek was amazing- the landscapes were beautiful and ever-changing. The Wilderness Support Team did a wonderful job setting up our Wilderness Camps, cooking incredible food, and taking care of us. Abdullah - our local guide - was incredible and we all loved Marzu - the donkey - who carried both our water and occasionally one of us. Ali - our other guide for the trek - was a wealth of information, and was also both kind and enjoyable to be around. He had incredible stories! His knowledge of the environment, culture, and anything else you could ever want to know was extremely impressive - he was our 'google' of the trek. He even gave us astrology lessons in the evening! Everything else - from Bedouin Camps to touring Wadi Rum, seeing Petra, and floating in the dead sea - was exceptional. This trip was amazing and the people I met in Jordan were very kind. I was also lucky enough to be placed in a tour group with some wonderful people from ages 25-67 and immensely enjoyed getting to know them! My only recommendation would be to make sure you are staying on top of your tipping because the Jordanian people are exceptionally polite and sometimes people would leave sooner than expected. I was disappointed that I missed tipping a few of the people because I wasn't prepared for them to leave so soon and often didn't have smaller change. You have to be ready with your tips! Again, the guiding and the overall experience was phenomenal; this tour is a great way to experience a few of the many wonders that Jordan has to offer!
Hills and Wadis
Most people enter Petra from the front slot canyon (Siq), but we started at Dana, hiked four days with Bedouin support and camps and entered from the Monestary. Seeing the diverse landscape, drinking tea, hiking and ending at the Treasury was the way to go. Ahlam, our tour guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, loved by all our Bedouin support and the locals, and created a positive atmosphere even on our hardest hike days. She was an integral part of our trip experience and I couldn't imagine seeing Jordan any other way!
Dana to Petra trek on private tour, with Jerash, Wadi RUm and Dead sea visits
We had a lovely experience from booking right through to duration of the trip. We didn't have to think / worry about a thing. Raisa was rapid with giving us many iterations of our trip and sorted everything quickly despite us changing our minds right up to last minute! We had a really friendly guide - Furat - who was very knowledgeable and had fun games for the evenings while wild camping on the trek. All the accommodation and food was great / delicious (the camps in Little Petra and Wadi Rum were our favourites - the Hilton was average, but we are less bothered about hotels anyway). Our driver Mansour made us feel particularly welcome from the start to the end and was very adaptable to our schedules, suggesting activities and places to eat that were all great bonuses to the trip!
An epic whirlwind tour
The whole tour was epic. The incredible Mr. Feras, our wonderful driver, whom over two days left an indelible impression upon us, so much so, we feel like we have made a life time friendship. He was incredibly generous with his expansive knowledge of Jordan, it's history and culture. The planned and un planned stops were negotiate with the utmost ease. He even lent me a hundred JDs when he realised that l might be short on cash with ATM issues. Whoa?!! Talk about going above and beyond. Lots of wonderful memories were made possible by his inspired suggestions, given our time predicament. Our guide in Petra, Mr. Mahmoud Elbdoul, was instrumental in making sure that our experience was hassle and pain free. His English was impeccable, his love for his home town shone through time and again. Thank you for the wonderful Experience to all the folks at 'Experience Jordan'.

Great weekly walks to explore the biodiversity of Jordan!
We only trust Experience Jordan for safe and fun group hikes around Jordan. We've gone on 10+ hikes with them over the years. They value the safety and comfort of the group, you know what to expect based on the description of the hike, and the guides are there to support you (physically and emotionally haha) during more technical parts. They also have strict Covid policies. Hopefully once more people in Jordan are vaccinated, the lunches with local families after the hike can resume. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable and make the effort to get to know all the hikers. This is the only company I would recommend for people looking for day hikes, overnight, or multi-day trips around Jordan.
Amazing full Jordan Bike Trail Experience
Amazing and beautiful bike trip. Really well organised by Anton who is a fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide and super flexibel to adapt the tour to my needs (including food and snacks) ! Accommodation on the trip is carefully selected and each one of them unique which made the trip an even more special experience. All in all I had nothing to worry about, had great company and everything was taken care off! A really memorable experience!
An Amazing Spring Time Hike!
I had a wonderful hike from Jesus Cave to Pella. The scenery is beautiful in the spring. Mahmood is a great guide and shared historical information about the sites.

What a fantastic experience I had in Jordan! Traveled with Explorer Chick and Ahlam from Experience Jordan was our local guide. She was very knowledgeable about Petra, Wadi Rum and every place we visited. Ahlam went above and beyond my expectations. Our accommodations were wonderful and she helped make my trip memorable.
Amazing Wadi Rum Trip
I went on a 3-day, 2-night adventure with Experience Jordan to Wadi Rum. Our group hiked, enjoyed Bedouin meals, and relaxed in the beautiful desert. I didn't have to worry about transportation or meals as everything was expertly coordinated by the guides. Mahmoud was our main guide for this trip, and he was amazing! Friendly, helpful (especially as we scrambled over a few rough points on one of the hikes), knowledgeable, and fun! I have done many trips with Experience Jordan, both with friends and solo, and I can't recommend them enough! They've navigated the restrictions of covid-19 and continue to offer safe, fun, and new experiences every weekend.
Best Wadi Rum Trip!
Having lived in Jordan for a few years now, I have heard many great things about Experience Jordan. This was my firs trip with them and I was so impressed! Although the price may seem intimidating, once you broke it down, it would have been the same or more to plan a similar trip on your own- especially with a certified guide and all included activities which can add up quickly on a trip to Rum- not to mention transportation. Everything was flawlessly planned and executed, the drivers and beduins who ran the camp were professional and generous. I felt very safe in terms of COVID and our guide, Mahmoud, made it feel like we were a group of friends on a trip together rather than a tour group of strangers. Would highly recommend ExJo as an activity with friends or a great option is you are solo and looking to join a group.
Wadi rum 3 days and 2 nights trip
This is my first time to rate something at trip advisor and it's because it's really worth recommending a hike with experience Jordan. Mahmoud the tour guide is passionate about his job and he wanted us to make the most out of this trip. And we did !! It was the best way to start this new year with. He was always ready if we wish for any extra hikes that are not mentioned in the program and he is very knowledgeable about Jordan, its culture, the food and the mountains and hiking trails in wadi rum. He also offered us an additional hike. Whether you are visiting or living in Amman, consider this experience at least once in your life.
Exceptional Customer Satisfaction
Unfortunately due to Covid we had to cancel our transfer from Amman to Jerusalem however the customer service from the time we booked until we received our full refund was exceptional. One day... one day we will get there.
A very special birthday experience!
I had originally arranged a private group 2 day hike through Wadi Hasa. But since the town at the end of the wadi was in lockdown, the government authorities would not allow us to do it. Experience Jordan knew I had planned this trip as a birthday celebration for myself and they tried REALLY hard to get government approval but ended up having to cancel the Wadi Hasa trip the day before. I was so disappointed! But they offered an alternative to hike Wadi Ghuweir and spend the night at Feynan Ecolodge. We went with the new plan and had a marvelous experience! Mahmoud, our guide is fun and knowledgeable and responsible and friendly and everything you want a guide to be. After dinner at Feynan he surprised me with a delicious gluten-free chocolate cake that he and his sister had made and transported to Feynan. It came complete with exploding candles, the happy birthday song, and enough cake for everyone! It was a very special surprise and a perfect indication of how well they treat their clients. I have also done the Wadi Hidan hike with Experience Jordan (and Mahmoud was the guide for that too). Experience Jordan is exceptional at communication. I highly recommend Experience Jordan and will use them again in the future.
Wadi Hidan Hike & Swim- BEST Experience!!!!
This was my first experience using Experience Jordan Adventures and it will definitely not be the last! The whole day was incredible! Our guide, Mahmoud was incredibly kind, fun and helpful. The guides at the actual hike were wonderful as well! The hike itself was spectacular! From sliding down a waterfall to jumping off rock cliffs (both are optional activities on the hike) - the day was filled with adventure. We were all sad when the hike was over. Then we finished the hike with a delicious lunch with a spectacular view!! It was a perfect day! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. I HIGHLY recommend this company, this hike, and our guide- Mahmoud! :)
Wadi Ghweir to Feynan Eco lodge
A beautiful hike through Wadi Ghweir and finishing off at Feynan Eco Lodge - Mahmoud, the local guide and the driver were all fabulously professional and just generally wonderful people to spend a weekend with. Highly recommended. Thank you!
Bergesh Forest Hike
The hike I went through is the weekend hike to Bergesh Forest in Ajloun. As a local, I truly enjoyed the experience since the trip was organized and up to the expectations. It all started with the accessible online booking in which saved us from the hassle of going through the mundane booking process. In addition, I was pleased that they have a section to inform them about any food allergies you have. Moreover, both of our guides Ahlam Serhan from Experience Jordan and Mr. Issa, the local guide were very cooperative and welling to provide a thorough information about the area. Not to forget to mention, as well, the great food prepared by Mr. Issa's wife which was delicious. As for the timing, everything was on time.
Weekend Hike Through Bergesh Forest
We were excited to go on a weekend small group hike with Experience Jordan after things have safely reopened since COVID-19. We had an excellent trip from Amman to the Bergesh Forest near Ajloun where we hiked about 11k to the bus and were then transported to our local guide's house for lunch. Everything was super organized and ran smoothly. The difficulty of the hike matched the description, and the company is very clear in telling you what you need to bring with you. Ahlam was a wonderful and friendly guide! Our local guide, Isa, was very knowledgeable about the region. His wife cooked a wonderful meal for us including a ton of local dishes. We can't wait to go on more weekend hikes with Experience Jordan.
Wonderful way to experience Dana
I recently did the two day hike around Wadi Ghweib staying overnight at Feynan Lodge and loved it. Such a great group of people and Mahmood was friendly, accommodating, enthusiastic and made sure we all had a good time. Everything was well timed and it was really sweet how Mahmood kept reminding us to drink water! The landscape itself is stunning and the hike itself was fun; lots of opportunities to wade in the water, cool off in a waterfall and slide down small rock formations. Great fun, superb value for money and I would do it again!

Excellent customized tour of Jordan
We set up a custom tour with a driver through experience Jordan. The agents were easy to work with. Came up with a lot of helpful suggestions and helped plan the perfect trip. They even did a tour of the Wadi Rum to see the different camps to provide a personalized recommendation. The recommendation was perfect. We were picked up at the airport and wisked easily through passport check and customs. Our driver was excellent and stayed with us throughout our entire trip. We felt very safe. He was so pleasant and friendly. We saw Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash and Amman. The hotels were perfect. We felt safe and enjoyed the food. Such a great experience. Would definitely recommend using them again!!
Adventure In The Time of Coronavirus
Without hesitation, I will recommend Experience Jordan to anyone who is planning a trip to this wonderful country. Enas and eventually Raisa are both Tour Designers Extraordinaire. They both helped me plan a tailor fit 2-weeks adventure for the 4 of us, answered all my never ending questions, alleviated my concerns, and most importantly, delivered more than what we expected. Raisa was always quick to respond, and gave me all the information that I needed, from visa arrival to my concerns re: wilderness camping (my very first time!), to the daily changes of international travel during coronavirus. We were greeted by Rakkan as soon as we arrived, and he sped us through arrival with no hassle at all. Then super cool Mahmood Atal, our guide for the next 2 weeks took us under his wings and began a wonderful journey to explore Jordan. Us 4 Canucks can be a handful at times, but Mahmood is great and lots of fun to get along, while making sure all of our needs were looked after. He brought us to sample local food on the streets and little mom and pop restaurants, which tasted authentic and very delicious. On our trek from Dana to Petra, he made sure everyone was okay at every point and kept us fueled with these GIANT DATES he whisked out of his magic knapsack every so often. The Wilderness Camp team, Momen and Ali, are also amazing - and kudos to these chefs who prepared the best meals we ever had on this trip. We spent an extra day in Petra, and we learned so much more because of Mahmood's knowledge, which made us appreciate what we were seeing that much more. Aside from the main sights in Petra, Mahmood also took us to other spots such as the High Place of Sacrifice and the Wadi Farasah Trail. We managed to make it to the Dead Sea before all of a sudden, we needed to scramble to get out of Jordan before border closed on us. Again, thank you to Mahmood for giving us advanced warning - we were able to contact our airline within hours, and changed our travel plans. Even though we had to cut short our trip by 3 days, we are still very grateful (and lucky) we got to see Jordan in these unsettled times. Because of our sudden need for departure, Mahmood was kind enough to do some last minute shopping for us for spices and yes, those giant dates too. Experience Jordan is obviously very professional and excellent in what they do, but it's their people we met along the way that impressed us with their kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. Thank you for some truly spectacular Instagram worthy pictures, and lots of very fond memories of our adventure in Jordan.
Certified Guides provide the best service and care
I trek so that I might absorb the people, culture, history, and geography of a country at a steady pace. This trek from Dana to Petra fulfilled the side of me that wants to learn and the side of me that wants to enjoy the physical journey. Our guides, Mahmood Atal, Furat and Mahmood (Bandura), were caring, knowledgeable and… nimble. When less than stellar weather set in, they evaluated the situation then came up with a Plan B that was equally entertaining. The itinerary accurately lists the rigors of each day's hike in terms of length and elevation gain. What was a surprise to all was the utter beauty of the canyons, rocks, and geology. The local Bedouins who provided lodging were considerate and hospitable and prepared meals of their culture that were savory and sweet. Ending this tour in the red desert that is Wadi Rum then a soak in the Dead Sea was the tour topper. I highly recommend Experience Jordan and the certified guides that they employ.
Custom private guided tour
Experience Jordan created an itinerary for me & two friends that included hiking & touring. Our guide was amazing. We loved everything about this trip - the hikes, the historic sites, the varied landscapes (from mountains to the Wadi Rum desert to the Dead Sea), the local people, the food, two Bedouin camps we stayed in, the camels & the culture! It was my first trip to the Middle East & we all felt perfectly safe 100% of the time! Now I want to bring my children back!
Great visit with Experience Jordan
My husband and I just came back from a trip with Experience Jordan. We contacted several tour companies before we landed with ExJo, and we are very happy with our choice. The entire planning process was smooth with Furat and Raisa. They were quick to respond and helped create the perfect itinerary with us. Thank you so much! ExJo is on the expensive side, but given our limited time, we probably couldn't have done everything we wanted at a lower price point. The accommodations they selected for us were great, and the food was awesome! Our itinerary did not include the start time for our tours, so there was a tiny bit of confusion each night, when prepping for the next day. Maybe they wanted us to have freedom in our schedule? Or a cultural difference? Everybody was super helpful and it was never an issue, but I would have liked if the logistics were ironed out prior to our arrival. Overall, I would recommend traveling with ExJo. You'll have a great time and make new friends along the journey. :)

Excellent trip
We asked for a tailored trip, and were provided with an excellent programme by Furat. Our Driver Hussan was the best and took care of us as if we where his own daughters. Mariam, our tour guide in Petra was a fountain of information and an awesome photographer too. We enjoyed every minute with her. We can say that this was one awesome trip and was made so with the care and dedication from a great team at Experience Jordan.

I researched and received so many quotes from many tour operators in Jordan. I was surprised by the speed of Anji's response at Experience Jordan adventures as post other operators took days and days to get back to me! Anji was INCREDIBLE. She answered every question I had - and I had a lot considering I'd never been to Jordan before. She helped me work out exactly how much money I would need for everything and advised me on the best way to " Experience " Jordan in the short 2 days that we had. We loved our driver and our border assist helper. We want to return to Jordan and do at least 7 days. 2 days was not enough. I urge you to use this company! There's a lot out there and if you've finally made it to Jordan - it's worth using THE BEST of the best.

Cumplieron con casi todos los horarios, desde la recojida en aeropuerto hasta la entrega, teniendo en cuenta como funcionan ahi, quiza no sean lo peor.. los guias regular no se extienden mucho en las explicaciones, pero el paquete que yo use fue muy completo, qel grupo muy bueno teniendo en cuenta que yo iba sola si me senti segura.
10 Day Custom Jordan Trip! 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!
My wife and I traveled with Experience Jordan for 10 days in October. This company goes the extra mile it should be recognized. From the beginning of the trip planning all the way until our flight home the communication was excellent, response times were superb, and any hiccups that happened (as we all know they are inevitable when traveling) they were handled professionally & promptly. Raisa did an outstanding job in helping me design an itinerary that had just the right amount of adventure and cultural experiences. She was very easy to communicate with and her response times were incredible. I truly looked forward to planning with her every day! Onto our driver Ahmad, went above and beyond for us the entire week. Our first day in Jordan we told him that I had forgotten a belt and he stopped somewhere and helped me buy one. He took great care to learn what was important for us to do in Jordan and made sure that we were able to do it in our time here. On our second to last night we told him we hadn't gotten the chance to have any schwarma yet and he made sure we stopped somewhere to get some. He said that he didn't want us leaving Jordan without having done everything we wanted to do. He quickly learned our food preferences and chose our lunch spots based off of them. They were some of our favorite meals we had. He took note that we loved coffee and showed us the best places to buy in Amman and made sure we were always caffeinated during the day. Towards the beginning our trip, we had zatar for the first time. After only having mentioned it once, he brought us some that his mother had just made. It was such a special and personal gift for us. He made sure we were treated like locals. Throughout our stay he had treats for us most days such as cookies from Petra, smoked nuts from Aqaba, and Turkish coffee from Amman. Ahmad gave us lots of flexibility while we travelled and let us stop wherever we wanted. He never acted like he was in a hurry even when he had to drive several hours back home after dropping us at our destination. After every site visit, he asked us if we enjoyed it and sincerely cared that we were having a good time. Every time we checked into a new hotel he came to check in with us and made sure we were well taken care of before leaving. He even gave us a spare cell phone to communicate with him since we did not have phone service. This was an added layer of a stress free day. We had many great conversations with him in the car and he was very patient with all the questions we had about the country and people. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him driving around. We felt like Ahmad genuinely cared about us and our experience here in Jordan. We always felt safe in his care. He was way more than just a driver to us. We feel like we're leaving the country having a made a new friend. We have been to many countries and had many drivers and guides, but Ahmad has been the absolute best! Thank you for all your hard work on this trip! It was a truly life changing experience and a trip we will never forget! I cannot say enough positive words about Experience Jordan!
7 Day Trip Through Jordan
We had an amazing time on this trip! Experience Jordan was incredible with planning each day, securing our accommodations, and handling all of the logistics. We did a 7 day trip and Experience Jordan planned everything, from expediting our arrival at the airport, to ensuring each day was jam packed with fun activities. We did a private tour which was great since we could decide each day what time we wanted to leave and how long we wanted to stay at each of the sites. Our driver Rashed was fantastic. He ensured that each day went smoothly, and went so above and beyond to make sure that we had an incredible trip. He even had WiFi in the car so we could touch base with our families while driving one place to the next. We cannot recommend Experience Jordan highly enough.
Brilliant three-day private tour. Crossing from Israel NOT a highlight
ExJo, as they have started calling themselves, did a great job for us. We did a three-day, two-night tour from Israel starting in Jerusalem, ending at Ben Gurion. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Walid, our guide, was wonderful. A Bedouin with a deep love of the land and an appreciation of nomadic life (which he has gladly given up), he could talk with detail and passion about the land, herding animals, camels (which he adores and now so do we). He knew the towns, history, and the smart routes. He solved problems when they came up. He was an unfailingly safe driver. Ask for him. We did a day in Amman and liked it a lot. After visits to major tourist sites and a stop for a killer dessert, we had the afternoon and evening free to walk the town. We ended up with a memorable Lebanese dinner. Petra was day two. About 8 miles of walking, which we liked. The place is stunning. Not sure that Jordan would have a tourist industry without it. For this reason, it's fairly overrun. Last day was Wadi Rum. We spent the night at one of the many " Bedouin tent camps " that dot the area. The tents have electricity and running water, which would make them a bit challenging to roll up and load on a camel, but added to our comfort. This is Disneyland tourism, but seeing Wadi Rum may be worth it. If Petra is like Zion, this is like Bryce -- red rock sandstone formations with massive sand dunes. Realistically, this is probably our only trip to Jordan. It is a good way to see the place. You could land in Amman, rent a car, and rent local guides at Petra and Wadi Rum, so long as you can handle Arabic road signs and police stops. We bought our way out of those problems and would do it again. One caution: if you are coming to Jordan from Israel, consider flying to Amman. There are three border crossings: the Yitzhak Rabin Terminal / Wadi Araba Crossing, the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby) Terminal and the Jordan River / Sheikh Hussein Crossing. ExJo likes door # 2, Allenby. This is the most convenient when it works, but it has two problems. First, it is basically a military crossing, since you are crossing not from Israel proper, as with the other two, but from the West Bank. Second, this is the only crossing for Palestinians to enter Jordan, so the service ethic is the pits. You have the following choice. You can wait until enough people are milling around in the desert heat that a bus shows up and takes you to the Jordanian part of the border, where you will wait is smoke-filled rooms while indifferent civil servants process your passport and their buddies hustle you for tips. This can take 3-6 hours in each direction, so if you are on a three-day tour, you lose a bunch of it. Or buy your way out of the situation by paying for " VIP Service ". You get a private van between the stations of the crossing and everything is nicely expedited. You'll be done in 20-30 minutes. The service costs $115 per person each direction. This goes a long way toward the price of a flight to Amman, where I imagine passports are processed more quickly (although we did not do this). You could also try one of the other crossings, which several knowledgable locals told us was much faster. Do not let the Allenby goat rodeo keep you out of Jordan. Either allow the time, budget the money for VIP, or enter a different way. I am sure that ExJo will work with you regardless.
Superb Experience we'll remember for a long time
If you are considering a trip to Jordan we would 100% recommend Experience Jordan Adventures. Furat helped us organise a custom trip including the 5 day trek from Dana Nature Reserve to Petra, a night at the Dead Sea and a visit to Jerash. The trekking allowed us to get a feeling of rural Jordan and Bedouin life. Our guide, Ahlam is a real treasure (professional, thoughtful and fun). Our Bedouin family (Eid, Mohammed and Khitam) were kind and very hospitable; with genuine care for their donkey Nesta. Our driver Saed was safe, calm and reliable. The Feynan Ecolodge and the Bedouin Camp (we used Seven Wonders luxury) were perfect either side of the 'wild' camping experience. The Dead Sea is a must, even though the huge 5* hotels would not be our normal choice. We can't recommend Jerash highly enough. It really is worth a visit. NB the trek should only be considered if you have a reasonable level of fitness otherwise your physical struggle will diminish the beauty and your enjoyment!
Excellent Custom Tour
Contacted Experience Jordan to organize a custom tour of Jordan for two people, and they worked with us to create the perfect itinerary. Once we arrived, everything from start to finish was perfect and went smoothly, even down to small details like providing us with a cell phone so we could contact our driver once our activities were finished. Jordan is an amazing country - we visited Petra, the Wadi Rum desert and Aqaba with Experience Jordan, and doing a custom tour was the perfect way for us to do it. Highly highly recommend!
Amazing experience, country, tour leader and trip
I loved this trip and would thoroughly recommend. Jordan is an amazing country with lots to offer. My favourite part of the tour was seeing the Monastery and being blown away by the size of Petra and Wadi Rum. The desert was beautiful, ever-changing landscape, stunning sunsets and a great night in a bedouin camp. Ahlam, the group tour leader was fantastic - very knowledgeable and happy to help with any request. She is approachable and nothing was too much effort - the small things she did made the trip perfect. The food was very good and so much of it! Definitely ate a years supply of pitta and humous! Very good - you will not go hungry, although eating olives, pitta and humous for brekkie took a bit of getting used to! Overall great trip - highly recommend.

EXCELLENT TOUR! Our tour guide Amer was the best. Our 8 day Experience Jordan tour was just the right amount of time. The tour guide was flexible on times, attentive to everyone's needs and was just as interested in us and our countries as we were with Jordan. Amber was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions in much detail... Even if asked same question multiple times. All hotels were good and provided breakfast. Transportation was new and driver was safe.
Perfect Custom Tour
After a week long group trip to Israel, 4 of us continued to Jordan for a custom designed trip of Petra, Wada Rum, and Amman. Raisa worked with our schedule and desired sites to assemble and outstanding 4 days, all arranged via emails. Raisa provided excellent suggestions that made our tour perfect. Jordan 2019
Part 1 - Jordan 2019 My wife and I spent 5 days in Jordan and 5 days in Israel - all coordinate by J2J Adventures, organized by Sarah and many exchange of emails on the agenda. This was a custom tour with a very aggressive schedule and timeline to follow over the short period of time. Overall, this was an excellent experience although was on the expensive side due to 5 star hotels, 10 days time and guides / drivers on the trip. Pick up at the Amman airport was great and we breezed through immigration lines to quickly pass through to our luggage. The time airport to Intercontinental Hotel is about 30 min. We were there for 2 nights while we explored Amman, Juresh and Um-Qais - this is a lot to see but can be done in 2 days. The Intercontinental is nice - great location near several excellent restaurants (e. g. Romero's, Shakespeare's) and also has great variety to choose from inside (sushi, tex-mex) and a terrific breakfast buffet. We did have a few issues with the hotel:room AC wasn't working and we had to change rooms Our guide for the Jordan segment was Jawad - he was exceptional; great English, very informative, super sense of humor and very attentive to details. We spent a lot, I mean a lot of time in the car driving so this was vitally important to get along and have a great time with the guide - we drove from Amman to Um-Qais, Amman to Petra and then Petra to Wadi Rum and then to the Allenby Bridge border. We had a great experience with this company! Our adventure tours designer, Furat Mai, was very responsive and organized a trip that met all our requirements. I would highly recommend him and the team to anyone that wants to explore but may not have the time / know-how to organize all the logistics. Wonderful Tour Operator For Jordan
I knew from my first contact with Matt L that I had chosen the right tour operator for my first trip to Jordan! After our initial contact, he turned me over to two of his very delightful assistants, Basma and Raísa. They were both extremely knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. They put together the perfect 4 nights / 5 days tour for me and my 3 female friends. The guide and driver Yusuf that they arranged were both outstanding! They also arranged a very special lunch at Beit Khayat Souf for us after our city tour of Amman and Jerash. We had a mixup in the beginning because our scheduled guide canceled for personal reasons, however, Raisa came through like a real trooper and found Jamileh for us! Jamileh was fun, knowledgeable and delightful to be with. She took us to a fun restaurant in Amman to sample authentic Falafel and Hummus before we drove to Petra. She gave us a special tour of Petra, also known as the " Rose City ". The only downside was that we hadn't allowed enough time to really see all of it. We all agreed, a return visit will be on our " Bucket List ". And I would certainly contact Raisa at Experience Jordan to plan another trip with Yusuf as our driver and Jamileh as our guide.

Wonderful tour of Jordan
I cannot praise this tour highly enough. We had a wonderful, action packed week, with great company and an outstanding guide, Mahmoud. In six days we experienced all the main spots in Jordan, traveling from Ajloun in the north to Aqaba in the south, taking in the main historic sites, Jerash, Petra, Maduba, Mt Nebo and more, as well as camel and Jeep rides in the fabulous desert, scrambling over rocks and a boat ride with snorkelling on a coral reef. Be prepared for some communal living in the camps in Wadi Rum and little Petra, but all in all a very memorable experience.

4 Nights in Jordan
My husband and I were picked up at the Amman airport by Experience Jordan personal and were quickly wisked through the visa process and brought to our amazing driver Mohammed for the next 4 day adventure. We went straight to Petra and stayed at the Marriot which was Ok but the views are incredible. We visisited the site all day Thursday and then drove to Wadi Rum and stayed at the most amazing campsite... Discovery Bedu which was perfect in every way. We loved everything... the food, people, tent. and service. After our dessert tour the next morning we went to the Dead Sea and stayed at the Kempinski which was very nice. We floated, did the mud bath, and worked out. beautiful spa as well. The next day we drove to Amman and did a tour that was ok and did some shopping. This is something that can be removed if you'd rather do something else. I think a visit to Mt Nebo or Jerash would be better. The representative at Experieince Jordan was terrific and they made the trip seamless. Thank you
Wonderful itinerary full of diverse experiences
My partner and I embarked on a 10-night / 11-day private tour with Experience Jordan in December 2018. It took in Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and the Red Sea, the ancient Roman city of Jerash, as well as some lesser-known treasures including Feynan Eco Lodge in the Dana Biosphere Reserve and the old merchant city of As-Salt - once a regional capital of the Ottoman Empire. We rolled seamlessly from one incredible experience to the next thanks to our friendly, professional and knowledgeable driver, met so many passionate, warm-hearted and welcoming people, and ate amazing food throughout our whole trip. We absolutely fell in love with Jordan and felt our 'experiential' Experience Jordan itinerary was so well considered and executed. The whole trip exceeded our expectations and I would recommend Experience Jordan as an agency that offers professionalism and support from start to finish as well as the chance to really get under the skin and experience the best of this wonderful country.

My friend and I did the Dana to Petra Group trek, which included a night in Wadi Rum and a half day retreat at the Dead Sea. Experience Jordan made the whole trip near flawless for us, right from dealing via emails (great job Ahlam!) before the trip through to the drop off at the airport. Much thought was placed to make the trip memorable but the following aspects just made it wonderful:- - friendly caring guides, Jawad and Taz; - 'solid' presence of a policeman; - 2 donkeys, of which one is rather frisky; - comfortable and clean campsites; and - delicious food with sage-infused tea (cannot comment about the coffee though..:)) On top of it all, the trek itself was great, not too challenging with amazing geological formation and we were also lucky as our group was just fantastic. I would wholeheartedly recommend this trek with Experience Jordan!
Dana to Petra Hike and More
We have traveled extensively and we always choose a local-based tour company to plan our trips, when possible. Experience Jordan is hands-down the best local company that we have ever encountered. They have a perfect balance of customer service, friendly and personable staff, amazing English-speaking guides (Jawad and Taz) and attention to detail. From the moment we landed at the airport right up to when we were dropped off again we felt welcomed and supported. We were always able to contact our Experience Jordan representative or our guides through WhatApps if we had questions or even just needed a restaurant recommendation. The trek from Dana to Petra was flawless. Everything from great food, to extra blankets due to the cold weather, to unending patience when we were a bit slow getting out of bed. The hotels in Petra, the camp at Wadi Rum and the resort at the Dead Sea were well selected and exceeded our expectations. If you are thinking of going to Jordan - GO. Jordan travels plus Dana to Petra hike
Our group of eight had a trouble free fascinating, challenging and totally enjoyable time in Jordan. We were able to personalise our trip, to meet our needs, see what we chose, and manage our time. Our guide Wael was superb. Really friendly, interested, engaged and fun. The first half was a minibus tour of the far north. Courteous and safe driver comfortable 20 seater bus for 8 was perfect. We had the most amazing meals and hospitality in private homes. Second half was a strenuous and challenging 6 day hike from Dana to Petra over spectacular endless rugged mountains, amazing views and unforgettable experiences. Our local guide Aude and his donkey Mazuga were great company, knew the country and its tracks perfectly. He even russelled up tea and hot food at the drop of a hat. Experience Jordan is highly recommended.

Ten Day Cycle Tour of Jordan
Experience Jordan created a custom 10 day cycle tour for three of us in January 2019. We had a few key sites we wanted to tour (Amman, Petra and Wadi Rum). Experience Jordan provided a tour of these places and many more! We were pleasantly surprised with experiences at Dana Wildlife Reserve, Kerak Castle, Shoubak Castle and the Dead Sea. Our wintertime tour experienced a few windy days but the Experience Jordan staff were able to keep us on-track by flexibly moving us to less windy locations. They even substituted-in a Jordanian cooking class in Petra on short notice.... a very memorable occasion for us!

Experience Jordan designed a trip that included all my requirements, and the organizer (Raisa) and guides far exceeded my expectations. My primary guide, Shadi, was considerate, skilled, knowledgeable, enteraining, savvy, strategic, and funny. His tips were always spot on. Overall, the timing -- thanks to Raisa's planning and the guides' pacing -- was always perfect, and I never felt rushed despite an incredibly packed itinerary. My trip included Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerusalem, and the Dead Sea (Jordan side) -- all in five days. If you can make a trip successful with so many destinations under such a tight schedule, that says a lot about a company.
Wadi Himara Canyoning Day Trip
Our canyoning trip with Experience Jordan was a very special day which we will all remember. Our guides were very experienced and dependable. They were able to capture the interests of all ages in our party - from young 6 year olds, to teenagers and adults. We had an adventure climbing, walking and feasting on a delicious Jordanian lunch cooked under the waterfall. We felt safe and relaxed in their hands. We would highly recommend them.
Honey, I took the kids to Jordan!
We travelled to Jordan for two weeks. Nine days of these were spent on an Experience Jordan tour. We worked with the company to adapt one of their standard tours to our needs. We travelled as a party of six; two families of three: 3 adults and 3 teenage children. All of the details and arrangements were done entirely by email and Tala could not have been more patient and helpful in bringing the whole tour together for us. We spent the first day of tour in Amman getting around in a small mini-van air-conditioned bus. On this first day we visited the Citadel, the Roman theatre, and a number of art and cultural sites. We stopped for coffee and had lunch downtown in the old city. We finished the day with a Beit Sitt 'cooking lesson', which we had specifically requested for our tour. On our second full day we travelled to Ajloun, where we walked for the day before returning to our bed and breakfast for the night. On the next day we visited Wadi Hidan, which the kids absolutely loved. Here we put on life jackets and helmets, and then swum and climbed our way down the Wadi before returning for a shower and lunch. We spent the night in Madaba where we had time to explore the Christian churches and see the mosaics that make this town famous. From Madaba we travelled to Mount Nebo, where Mosses looked out on to the Promised Land, before going on to spend a full day and night at a Dead Sea Resort. This was a good break for the kids, as they could have a swim and not be distracted by parents or museums or the like. Each morning of our tour we commenced the day at 7 am, so avoiding most of the heat of the day. This day was no different as we left the Dead Sea and drove up into the Jordanian wilderness to commence our overnight hike down Wadi Hasa. This hike involved scrambling over rocks and boulders or walking through knee-deep water. It was a long first day and our group was very pleased to reach our campsite about 45 minute before sunset. We all slept under the stars with mats and sleeping bags provided by Experience Jordan. Some of our group had brought their own backpacks but this was entirely optional, as packs were available from Experience Jordan. After finishing our trek around midday on the second day we travelled to Little Petra where we spent the night in tent-style accommodation. The next day was spent exploring Petra. From Petra we travelled late in the day to Wadi Rum where spent the night in more tent-style accommodation. The last day of our tour was spent exploring Wadi Rum in the back of a jeep, before returning to Amman in the late afternoon. Both Petra and Wadi Rum are a must for anyone visiting Jordan. Tell the kids that Wadi Rum is where Rogue One (Star Wars) and Indiana Jones were filmed. And for those a little older, where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. We could not speak highly enough or say how much we loved our guide, Jawad (Jar Wood). He is a well-spoken Jordanian. His English was excellent and his manner with the children and the women in our party could not be faulted. Jawad was tireless in answering all our questions and handling all the various little problems that arise on any tour. He changed the day's itinerary to reflect our requests. For example, we visited Mount Nebo after talking it over with him. On our overnight hike his patience knew no limits, and at the end of a very long day when we were all exhausted he cooked a superb camp meal and served us sweet black Jordanian tea to end a great day. Jawad was ably assisted when needed by Raed our driver, who took no risks with our safety on the road and shared a joke or two with us along the way. His vehicle had air-conditioning, WiFi, and he was happy for our teenagers to play their music through the car's stereo! We felt completely safe in Jordan and on our tour our guide always had our best interests and safety as a priority. All our party loved our time in Jordan and loved the tour organised for us by Experience Jordan. We would have no hesitation in recommending Experience Jordan to those who wish to travel to Jordan and see something beyond the guidebook. If you are young or young-at-heart, then Experience Jordan and their tours are for you.
Sunset walk from Bergesh to Rasoun and BBQ dinner
I did the Sunset walk from Bergesh to Rasoun and BBQ dinner on the weekend and had a fabulous time. The tour was very well organised - plenty of info on what to bring and what to wear. It was a great group of hikers and guides and I had a lot of fun. I loved that the guides picked up rubbish along the way and put out little fires caused by smokers. It truly felt like an Eco Tour. I have dietary requirements and they did everything they could to make sure I was fed. It was a great experience. Also the Experience Jordan tours are some of the only tours you can book as a single person. I am in Jordan for work and this means I can actually see things while I'm here!

Phenomenal Team
Jordan is an amazing destination in its own right but I think the Experience Jordan team just bought it alive for our group. They were knowledgeable, gave great service and most of all their guides were heaps of fun. Especially Aymann! I wouldn't go past them and will be back. The local knowledge really helps too and even though I often travel without a guiding company, as I hate 'on the bus, off the bus' type travel, these guys were far from that and really understood the kind of adventure travel we were looking for with a good mix of culture, food and sight seeing. They had thought about everything! Logistics were seamless
Trip of a lifetime!!!
What an incredible experience!!! I could not recommend Experience Jordan enough. We did a 6-day multisport adventure and tried canyoning, mountain biking, horseback riding, snorkelling, scrambling up the highest peak in Jordan, sleeping in Bedouin camps... I feel like we did so much and all was seamless! And of course we visited Petra, which was absolutely mind blowing. I could not imagine visiting Petra without our amazing guide Ayman who was able to share his deep knowledge of Petra (and of Jordan in general) in a very fun and engaging way for all of us, which is no easy task! Always with a smile and incredibly warm and welcoming, Ayman was instrumental in our enjoyment and appreciation of Jordan. If you can, request him as your guide! The entire team at Experience Jordan (Anton, Firas) worked incredibly well together to make everything run like a well oiled machine. We even got to meet and travel with the owner, Matt who's a great guy! What I appreciated most was that I feel like I got a true, authentic Jordanian experience - from having tea with Bedouins to trying camel milk to riding in the back of a pickup truck in the desert - it made for an unforgettable experience. Go with Experience Jordan - you will love every minute of it!

Wir waren während sechs Tagen mit Experience Jordan unterwegs und diese Tage werden uns in bester Erinnerung bleiben. Schon im Vorfeld konnten wir unsere Wünsche angeben und das Team von e. j. war bei der Planung sehr behilflich. Wir haben ein individuelles Programm zusammengestellt, welches nur so von Highlights gespickt war. Experience Jordan hat uns hier wirklich die besten Spots ausgesucht. Mit dem Bike waren wir zwei Tage unterwegs wobei ein Guide sowie Begleitfahrzeug mit Ersatzbike uns begleitete. Der Weg von Petra bis nach Wadi Rum lohnt sich wirklich. An dieser Stelle lässt sich sagen, dass die Trails hier (soviel wir gesehen haben) keineswegs technisch sind sondern eher mit dem Ausblick überzeugen. Auch lohnt sich der Aufstieg auf den höchsten Berg Jordniens in der Wüste Wadi Rum. Alles in allem also eine super Sache mit Experience Jordan unterwegs zu sein!
Trip of a Lifetime with Experience Jordan
If you want to see the natural wonders in Jordan, Experience Jordan is the best way to have a fun, enriched trip--not just sight see! I went on an overnight yoga retreat to Wadi Rum and had a fun weekend with great views, company, and food. The yoga sessions were do-able for all levels. We had authentic, cozy accommodations in a Bedouin camp--they prepared the traditional food, and we spent the night around the campfire drinking tea and stargazing. In the morning we took a jeep tour around Wadi Rum to see all the famous sights and climb the rock. Experience Jordan was very accommodating, and our guide and yoga instructor were not only helpful with leading the trip, but were very nice to get to know. Experience Jordan also brought along a photographer, so you did not need to stress about getting nice photos. I would bring snacks, a water bottle, a camera, a change of clothes, and a light jacket depending on the time of year. I have been to Wadi Rum before, and I recommend doing a trip with Experience Jordan because you not only see all the famous sights, but you partake in unique, immersive activities.

I was traveling to Jordan as a single woman, and I wanted a company that could not only provide amazing experiences through hiking, tours and cultural experiences, but that helped me navigate safely through the country. I arranged a private tour that included hiking in Wadi Mujib, Petra by night, Petra, " camping " at Bedouin camps and Wadu Rum. I had one of the best guides you could ask for, Rania, who is incredibly intelligent, kind and trustworthy. Tala, with Experience Jordan, and Rania, my guide, ensured that I made it from Israel to Jordan and back. They were flexible and problem solved when the invariable traveling hiccups occurred. Rania is very in tune to her tourists. She actively listens to you and and tailors her guiding to what you want or need during your time in Jordan. From the ease of booking online and communicating via email or phone, Experience Jordan ensured that everything went as seamlessly as possible. My only wish is that I had more time and money to be able to stay and play in Jordan! Highly recommend this company, and would book with them again in a heartbeat.

Better than we could imagine!
We had over a week with Experience Jordan - we explored the historical sites at Amman and Jerash, did a hike at Wadi Himara, spent 2 days in Petra and little Petra, 2 days in Wadi Rum and 2 days at the Dead Sea. I think a lot of people book to go on hikes with Experience Jordan (which they are definitely great at!) but don't forget about the historical side of Jordan - our guide (Ayman) was not only an avid hiker but had a wealth of knowledge about the history of Jordan. We really had a great time! It's a beautiful country with amazing rock formations and such a rich history! I don't think our experience would have been the same with any other tour company as we got the right balance that we were looking for - hiking and adventure, mixed in with historical tours and a short time to relax at the end. The other tour companies we looked at either only offered historical tours or just hiking tours - but Experience Jordan offered the best of both worlds. Our guide, Ayman, was really amazing. He went at the right pace for us - and took us to different spots in Petra (including the main highlights) that gave us a different view point from the other tourists. He also took us to eat at local places whilst in Amman, which we loved! My husband still talks about the first meal we had in Amman (amazing Hummus and falafel) ! We always felt we were in safe hands and everything was well organised. We were originally supposed to do a hike through Wadi Mujib, but because it was raining further up the canyon it wasn't safe to hike - which was fine with us because Ayman ended up taking us to another Wadi nearby for a hike (Wadi Himara) which was still beautiful and peaceful (no one else was around!). You can tell Ayman loves his job and loves Jordan - which I find is one of the most important things which make up a great guide! We really felt that he cared about our experience and he really wanted to make sure we had a great time. His enthusiasm was infectious - and the whole holiday was both informative, adventurous and relaxing, all at the same time. We will definitely come back to Jordan to do more hiking, and will be booking through Experience Jordan (with a special request for Ayman!). Izdehar at Experience Jordan helped to customise our trip for us and recommended and booked some good hotels. She was very responsive and helpful, and even managed to arrange for us to have one free extra night at our hotel at the Dead Sea, since our flight wasn't until 2:30 am. Wadi Hidan hike with Experience Jordan
Friendly, experienced and safety-conscious guides looked after our group with professionalism, making sure that everyone had the best possible experience. The transport was efficient, the venue was beautiful, the walk was punctuated by a range of activities: jumping, scrambling and swimming. We finished at an isolated pool where we could relax and eat a much needed, delicious and freshly cooked lunch. I don't hesitate to recommend Experience Jordan.

it's our first time to Join the Team. Me and my friend are very glad cause they (tour guide / crew) are very accommodating. They are also fully experienced when it comes to tactics and tricks on how to walk properly in solid, slippery or muddy areas. Plus they provide safety gears for every hikers. They are well trained staff and good chefs too (they cooked delicious lunch;p). Experience Jordan is where you can experience great adventure, explore nature and appreciate the beauty of Jordan. We'll surely join more trips, and we're excited!!
Excellent choice
I joined the group for the first time. We walked ca. 10 km from Beit Idis - North of Ajloun - to Pella and were guided through a most beautiful and amazing scenery. The guides were most friendly and helpful in any way. We enjoyed chatting with them and liked their way of handling the cooking when we stopped for the " hiiker's lunch " (it was absolutely delicious!). We absolutely enjoyed the trip and are excited to join another walk in the near future.
A unique trip - expertly catered to our needs
In December 2014 I accompanied a group of young students on a trip with Experience Jordan. They had won a writing competition and I was looking for an experience to give them stimulus for some further writing. I tasked Ayman and his team to tailor a day around the theme of 'What's Your Story?'. Some weeks later we were on the bus up to the Ajloun Governorate and full of excitement. One day fun in the sun - Biking and Hiking at Dead Sea
This was the first day trip I joined with Experience Jordan. I had no or little expectations. The guides from Experience Jordan were amazing. They were friendly and took great care of us, prepared a yummy lunch after our hike in Wadi Himara. While cycling along Dead Sea, our bus followed us very closely to ensure we were safe and even provided us with water to ensure we stay hydrated. This trip was well-organised and exceeded all my expectations and I really had a lot of fun! I'd definitely go on more trips with Experience Jordan in the future.
Very happy and amazing experience
I am so happy I joined Experience Jordan on this hike (Wadi Hidan). It was extremely well organized. The guides have great knowledge of the trails and the area surrounding. While this was perhaps one of the more difficult hikes, I felt safe and had lots of fun! They were there to help us throughout the hike. The beautiful surroundings of waterfalls, lakes, canyons, valleys, trees, animals, it was all very mesmerizing. And the food cooked was yummy, along with traditional Jordanian tea :) I definitely recommend going on trips with them, you will make new friends and visit new places, creating memories to take home.
Incredible customer service and great day hike!
I actually signed up for an overnight in Wadi Rum but unfortunately some weather concerns caused about ten others to drop off the trip at the last minute. I admittedly was very disappointed but I couldn't believe when Experience Jordan offered me to join them on a daily walk that Friday instead as a guest. They waived the fee to make up for the cancellation. This was the best customer service I've experienced in nearly ten years of living in this region. They were so accommodating and straight-forward. So of course I couldn't reject their offer. I went on the day hike from Afana to Rasoun. It was a great group and everyone was friendly, helpful, and outgoing. Some had taken nearly a dozen hikes with Experience Jordan and others like me were first-timers. We stayed on track as far as timing and the lunch that was served was delicious and amazingly endless. It was such a great experience that I've signed up to join them again this Friday. Definitely check out this very reputable outfit!
Fabulous Two Week Trip in Jordan
Experience Jordan was professional, responsive and all around terrific private tour of Jordan. We are two women from the US, ages 68 and 70, who like to travel and hike. Jordan was safe, clean and quite modern except for the women's hijabs and some burkas. People are very friendly. " Welcome to Jordan " was said to us constantly. English is Jordan's second language. Planning the trip with Tala was a smooth process. Our itinerary went through three or four drafts and Tala answered our questions promptly. We had a wonderful guide, Awad Hajjabi, who taught us so much about the Jordanian culture as well as about the places we visited. He always went the extra mile for us. Shadi was our driver, very upbeat fun guy. We visited Amman on our own, then with Awad. Next day to Jerash, Ajloun Castle and a hike to Orjan village for a home stay. From Ajloun, Madaba and Mt. Nebo were our stops the next day. The next day we drove to the Dana Biosphere Reserve after visiting Kerak. We had a wonderful hike through the reserve to a night at Feynan Ecolodge. Then we stayed at a Bedouin camp in Little Petra and hiked from the upper entrance to Petra into Petra at the " Monastery. " After two days in miraculous Petra, we went another Bedouin camp in the Wadi Rum and hiked there as well. Snorkeled from a boat in the Red Sea and ended our trip at a resort at the Dead Sea. This gives you some idea of our extensive itinerary. I have reviewed hotels and restaurants separately. I would be happy to answer questions through TripAdvisor about Experience Jordan and our trip.
8 day trip to Jordan and 5 day hike from Dana to Petra -- Experience of a Lifetime
I can not express how wonderful our entire experience in Jordan was for us. We are frequent international travellers and hikers, and this was one of the best trips we have ever done. I feel that is mostly owed to our wonderful tour company, Experience Jordan. First I have to commend Tala who I kept in touch with for 6 months prior to the trip working out the details of our itinerary. She was very patient and timely in her responses and answered my numerous questions. I was very happy with the itinerary. We were met in the airport by the company's airport representative who made the visa process seamless, and then by our driver, Shadi. Shadi was our driver for the whole tour, and he was terrific! Ayman, our tour and hiking guide met us the next morning. We started in Amman for one night before moving onto Dana Biosphere Reserve, where we stayed at the Dana Guesthouse. (Terrific, see separate review). We then started the hike the following day. Lot of downhill to the Feynan Ecolodge. The ecolodge was nice but hot and buggy. Food was the best however. After that the next day of hiking was a bit tough with a few really uphill parts. But this day is absolutely worth it! Wonderful scenery and feelings of accomplishment before heading to a breathtaking camping spot. We were met with tents already set up and a wonderful dinner! Same with the next day and night with camping in the wilderness. These two nights were the most memorable of the whole trip! The Bedouins who set up camp and cooked for us were some of the nicest people. We had a feast, by the way. This was not roughing it at all. Afterwards, we proceeded to Little Petra and the Seven Wonders camp which was very nice (though the tents are a little claustrophobic). Glad we only stayed here one night. The day that we entered Petra from the back entrance through the Monastery was magical. Ayman took us on a little known hike though the canyons in Petra where we didn't see any other people. We then went to our posh hotel, Movenpick, where we got a much needed hot shower and a pretty good if not touristy buffet for dinner. The next day was spent in Petra until 2 pm or so, and then we headed off to Wadi Rum. We stayed at the Sun City camp in a Martian tent. More expensive but really cool. We took a sunset jeep tour that explored the other-worldly landscape. The dinner at the camp was good and memorable as well. The last day in Jordan was spent driving back to Amman and stopping at the Dead Sea on the way. This is a must-do experience. Floating and cleansing with the mud is unforgettable! We then got a personal tour of Amman with Ayman, and a wonderful dinner that night before heading off the airport for our 1 AM flight back to the US. The best part of our trip was our guide Ayman. He is probably the best guide we have ever had. Not only is he kind, personable, and efficient, my husband and I felt completely safe and secure if there were any type of injury or problem (which didn't happen). He is an expert hiker and one of the founders of the Jordan Trail. We could sense his genuine love of the outdoors and his country. He also seemed to everyone in Jordan! He told us lots of interesting information on all the sites, and funny stories for the whole week. He went above and beyond. Thank you Ayman. We look forward to visiting again.

Dana to Petra: an unbelievable five days
Thank you so much to Experience Jordan for this unforgettable trip! Myself, three other hikers, two Experience Jordan guides, and one local guide took this incredibly beautiful hike in early October. The guides were unfailingly friendly, helpful, and hilarious; the food was delicious every day; the tour of Petra was informative and interesting; and the hike itself was far too beautiful for me to describe here…. the whole experience was absolutely perfect. I would recommend this trip to anyone with the physical stamina for it (it's not easy!).

Already my third day trip with Experience Jordan took me and my daughter to Karak. We don't need much words to valuate this wonderful trip. Exceptional Service and a Fantastic Trip
My husband I and visited Jordan and Jerusalem for 9 day last year and used Experience Jordan to plan our itinerary, provide us with a driver for the duration of the time in Jordan and Jerusalem and also book all our accommodation. We had much less time that we would have liked so I supplied the staff at EJ with a list of our must see attractions and they worked out a lovely itinerary for us. It allowed us to see all on our must-see list as well as make a few more stops that we did not think of but absolutely loved. All at a pace that allowed us time to savour and enjoy this once in a lifetime trip. We had wonderful and safe drivers in both countries and stayed in clean, comfortable and convenient hotels in all locations on our trip. We were overall very impressed and will highly recommend Experience Jordan to anyone planning a trip to Jordan and Israel.
Pure magic!
We don't get to walk a lot in Amman... Never, to be honest. And it's not the greenest city you can live in. So when I heard about this tour operator, I talked to my friends and we booked a walk... Best decision made for a week end! A full day in the nature, with a very relaxed and smiling group of organisers, walking up and down for 15km enjoying the landscape and the colors. The lunch was another incredible surprise: we didn't expect to have such a variety of freshly cooked Jordan food. Experience Jordan will be one of the pillars of my life in Amman and I'll join them again as soon as possible :) thank you guys
Amazing Trip!
My friends and I joined the hiking trip to Wadi Attun. Our guides were awesome and the whole experience was wonderful. The yoga class with Ahlam was the highlight of the trip. A yoga class by the Dead Sea was the perfect way to end this great day. I would definitely recommend Experience Jordan and I am excited to join them again.
Best custom tour
Experience Jordan put together a custom 6 day tour for us, and it was truly the best tour we have ever been on. They were professional, gave us great ideas beyond the typical tourist attractions and created a perfect experience. We worked with Tala to plan the trip. They also followed up with us while we were on the tour to ensure all was going well. I can't reiterate enough what a personalized touch they provided. We had a driver for the entire trip, and Yasir was top notch. He took us to the best restaurants, gave us great local advice, made sure everything went smoothly and is one of the kindest people. An exceptional Wadi with exceptional guides!
Wadi Hidan is a tremendously beautiful wadi with it's black basaltic and sandstone walls, gorges, waterfalls and greenery. It is crazy to think I've missed it on my many trips to Jordan.. and I'm Jordanian. It's wonderful that Experience Jordan are making these hidden and underrated parts of Jordan available to explore and enjoy. Our trip was seamless. Mohammed finalised our booking at the Experience Jordan office in Amman- he was cheerful and professional and got us excited for our trip! The group enjoyed a lovely welcome from our delightful guides- Ayman, Jawad and Saleem- and a scenic bus journey to Wadi Hidan. We were equipped with a life jacket and helmet and hit the road, or wadi. We walked, climbed, jumped, swam, and slid through the magnificent wadi. Every corner was picture perfect. (I personally also did some slipping, crawling and sunbathing). All under the watchful eyes of our guides- who continually made sure every member of our group was safe, comfortable and enjoying the day. Their energy and passion really made the day for us. They went the extra mile by serving a lovely cooked lunch by a waterfall followed by sweet tea and date cakes- we were living the dream! There were some challenging obstacles that were made perfectly manageable with our guides skilfully guiding each member's footing in turn. Safety was paramount. Adrenaline unbeatable. We can't shake the grins off our faces and are already planning our next adventure with Experience Jordan. Book Experience Jordan! Tips: Experience Jordan provides you with all the information you need before your trip ie hiking shoes, water, sunblock.. here are a few more tips- -There is no escaping water- you will want to jump dance and float in it- a dry bag, or tupperware comes very handy for your phone if, like us, you must carry it. -suitable backpacks - long shorts or sleeves to protect from sun / grazes / horse flies!

Hiking in a great Wadi
This is my third trip with experience Jordan this summer and they have never let me down. I went with them to Wadi Hidan twice and one time to Wadi Al Hasa for camping. I had a great time all three times. I loved the both Wadi's as well as great food and very friendly staff. Me and three friends went on a day trip with Experience Jordan. It was an absolutely amazing experience and so much fun!! The guides were amazing, such great guys, Ayman was excellent!!!! Best adventure day trip in Jordan
Our day trip was to Wadi Hidan, and was one of the best " hikes " I've ever been on. The entire day consists of walking down a wadi which is more like a large exciting river than anything else. The variation is great, you are either walking alongside the river, swimming through it, sliding down waterfalls on your back, repelling down the side of them or cliff jumping down as you progress throughout the day. There are so many positive things to write about for this trip. But they all seem to come down to simply how great our guide, Ayman was. He was extremely fun to spend the day with and gives off a great vibe. He was also knowledgeable about the area and had some great anecdotes that he shared with us on the drive down from Amman. He is also extremely safety concious which is great, insisting you be safe rather than sorry. For example he doesn't encourage you to jump from heights that you don't feel comfortable doing. It turns out Ayman is also quite the chef. As we neared the end of the hike we settled down in front of a gorgeous setting of a waterfall and cliffs, and seemingly out of no where Ayman whipped out his wok, started a fire and cooked us up a storm. Great food. Another great feature is that Ayman has a camera strapped to his chest the entire time, so we were left with some awesome action shots and fantastic memories to take home with us. A great day - I highly recommend it to everyone, and will most certainly return for more.
The best way to Experience Jordan!
Having taken several hikes around Jordan with Experience Jordan - can guarantee that this is the best company to book with! The routes (incl from the Jordan Trail) are a wonderful way to see Jordan, learn about the diversity in nature and terrain, the beautiful landscapes and historic ruins (highlights are Ajloun, Pella), while the guides are always super professional and knowledgeable. At the end of the hike, and always a highlight - the meals cooked by local families are more delicious than any restaurant :) Highly recommend booking your next hike with the Experience Jordan team - you won't regret it!
3 days in Jerusalem
Experience Jordan recently planned and executed for us a 3 day extension to Jerusalem after we completed a 12 day cultural and hiking trip that we did with Mountain Travel Sobek (which was an incredible experience expertly executed). For the Jerusalem excursion Experience Jordan bent over backwards to give us top flight service, great accommodations, and wonderful guides, which was especially difficult as it is high season and very busy. Basma, who was our main contact at Experience Jordan, is a true pro and superb at all aspects of travel planning and execution. We couldn't have done the journey without her. She optimized our time, itinerary and sites such that we got the most possible out of our brief three days. Can't recommend her or the company highly enough!
Extremely well organized and interesting multi-day hike
My husband and I are taking a year to travel and have done several guided multi-day hikes globally. We did a 5-day Dana to Petra hike with Experience Jordan and found that it was one of the best organized and interesting. Great experience started at the airport. We were greeted by an Experience Jordan personnel who already has arranged for our visas, got us through passport control w / out a queue. He then handed us off to our driver, Sayel who was in charge of our transportation the entire trip and was very helpful, friendly and extremely punctual. Our trip was during Ramadan and we got a lot of great input on where to go and what to do during this unusual time. On the first day of the hike, we got picked up by Sayel and our guide, Ayman. We drove for about 3 hours to Dana, did a short day hike, had an awesome dinner, slept comfortably in the eco lodge and were ready for our real hiking adventure to begin the next day. The trail winds through valleys and mountains with very beautiful scenery. The days were about 5 hours of actual walking, but with breaks and lunch we would leave around 8.30 and get to camp around 3.30. We were accompanied by our guide and a Bedouin guide with a donkey for emergencies. A team of 2 more Beduins were driving our camp from place to place, set up and cook (food was delicious - super fresh, well made and gave us a chance to try real traditional cooking). Of course the gem of the hike was arriving in Petra on the last day. Place is magic and it's very special to approach it from the back vs the front entrance used by non-hiking tourists. Last but not least, wanted to give a shout out to our guide, Ayman. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about history and nature and truly caring about the well being of guests and locals. And also funny, charming, and friends with pretty much half of the Beduin population in the area. He was one of the guides who scouted and mapped out Dana to Jordan trail several years ago and knows the area inside and out. In short, he was AWESOME as us Americans like to say :) Great trip, perfect mix of culture, fitness, history and views. Highly recommend it for all the adventure travelers out there.

I have done a few trips with Experience Jordan (Little Petra to Petra, Wadi Hassa hiking and camping trip, and Wadi Hidan). All were fantastic! It's a great way to see beautiful places in Jordan and to meet like-minded people. The tours are very well organized and the guides are fantastic! Super professional and load of fun. I would highly recommend it. I really can't say enough good things about the trips and the guides. Just go!
So much to see in one week
Excellent organisation of our private trip. Very flexible and accomodating all our needs and interests. Ahmad was an excellent driver, even finding the dolmens of Wadi Jadid where he had never been before. Great way to visit this beautiful country.
Short but wonderful trip to Wadi Himara
My daughters and me joined an outstanding half day trip to Wadi Himara with Experience Jordan. Our guides Jawad and Mahmoud were great and they organized everything perfect. Although it was a hot day we enjoyed the tour in a small group with nice company. We got to know another beautiful small piece of Jordan and it is always worth booking tours with them. So far i never had a bad experience. They show us great places accompanied by highly motivated guides and cooked food which is always delicious. Highly recommended!!!
An Unforgettable Experience
We had a fabulous time in Wadi Rum with Experience Jordan. We stayed for two nights in the small, authentic Bedouin Directions camp - it was wonderful; very private and hidden away in its own cliff circle. Our local guide was great. Watching him make a small controlled fire with only a few small sticks was an education in itself and the lunches he whipped up were delicious. He showed and taught us so much and the kids (two teens) enjoyed his playful personality very much. Camel riding (two hours was perfect) and hiking up Umm ad Dami were wonderful too. The view from the top of the mountain was spectacular! All was exceptionally well organized.

Just finished a ten day tour with Experience Jordan. Spent 5 days hiking from Dana to Petra and was blown away with the trip. From start to finish everyone at Experience Jordan is extremely professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Traveling with Experience Jordan will always stand out to me as one of the most outstanding trips I have ever taken. I cannot say thank you enough to each person who made my trip possible at Experience Jordan.
Absolutely Amazing
Our Jordan trip was one of our memorable trips in recent years. Tala from Experience Jordan helped us to plan and book our trip and she was amazing helping me all along. Traveling with a toddler is not at all easy. She booked the best accommodation for us including our stay in Wadi Rum. I really appreciate the way Experience Jordan did a last minute reshuffle of our tour due to our flight getting cancelled in last minute. I would strongly recommend to avail services from Experience Jordan any given day. Lastly I would like to thank Ahmed our driver for the whole trip. His guidance, warmth and hospitality really made us comfortable throughout the trip. Thanks again for the hospitality really miss it!!

Stunning hikes, perfect orgnaisation, and great guides
After one weekend group trip to Wadi Rum, as well as a longer trip to Dana, Petra and Mujib, we can only recommend Experience Jordan. We had brilliant experiences with different guides that took us off the beaten track, even managing to avoid crowds in Petra. The logistics of the multi-day hiking trip were well handled and Experience Jordan was very flexible to amend the itinerary. There were many very memorable moments and encounters, and we would certainly travel with Experience Jordan again.

We had a lovely trip into the lovely wadi rum. Jawad and Ayman were amazing guides, they were very informative. And knew their way into the wadi! We had loads of fun, amazing night star gazing, and with a great group too! Thank you Experience Jordan for the amazing trip :) Jameel.
" AMAZING " Jordan
Let me just start by saying that the people in Jordan are some of the most friendly and generous people we have ever encountered in our travels. There were soooo many offers of tea and invites to meals from people we just met - it was amazing. We always felt safe and well cared for by Experience Jordan. I must say that I am usually super involved in planning our holidays but this time presented my wish list to the trip organizer who then added his own suggestions once he understood the type of holidays we like. We spent 19 days in Jordan and thoroughly enjoyed our adventures. We travelled from the north to the south and hiked, hiked, hiked which we love. The trip was well-organized except for some unnecessary travelling and back-tracking in the first few days. We were also faced with flash floods altering our plans towards the end of our trip and Raisa was amazing at making last minute changes to our itinerary. We loved Um Qais and the enthusiastic guide we had there. Getting to know a Syrian refugee family was great as we shared an amazing meal with them. Also enjoyed hiking the Ajloun area and picking olives with a local family who then of course made tea for us. The hike from Dana to Petra was spectacular however the guides we had were not very knowledgeable or chatty so I feel we missed out a little. We loved approaching Petra from the back door - every day of this trek was truly amazing. We also did many hikes within Petra which I would HIGHLY recommend. Some of the viewpoints are awesome particularly above the Treasury and the Place of High Sacrifice as well as the trails in and above the Monastery. Wadi Rum was amazing as was our guide there - hiking to the highest point in Jordan just after day break was spectacular. The landscape is like Mars and if you can stay in the Martian huts go for it. Our 2 day hike in Wadi Hasa was amazing- our guide Islam was very patient as we took endless pictures of the breath-taking canyon. He kept telling us that the best was yet to come and he was right - the canyon just kept getting more spectacular as we progressed. The lunch after day 2 at Safi was also awesome. Diving for 3 days with Sinbad at Aqaba was so great - would highly recommend this dive company - they were very safety oriented and tried their best to accommodate our wishes in addition to taking us to some of their favourite sites. A day at the dead sea is a must just to experience the feeling of weightlessness in that salty water!! Overall we were very pleased with the accommodations which varied from Hotel / spa to remote tent with the great outdoors for a bathroom. Camping in the wilderness was made so easy by the folks who set up camp in awesome scenic locations, transported our gear and cooked us wonderful meals. This was a custom trip for 2 which had its advantages as we could do what we wanted when we wanted but I think the main disadvantage was that we maybe didn't get the best guides on our Dana to Petra leg because we were only 2. When I booked, the raving reviews about the guides on this trek swayed me - likely if you book a group tour you will be fine.
