Good
I placed a Togo order at the bar and " andrea " served me she was quick and super nice will definitely be going back food was amazing!
Steak was overcooked
We asked for a table for 9 and although the restaurant was empty, we had to wait for 30 minutes. They serve big portions, but the ordered 6 oz steak was more a tiny overcooked 3 oz steak.
Very Disappointed
This was the worst visit ever. Was stereotyped and ask if I could pay for my bill before I received my food. Very unprofessional.
Yummy Delights and Minor Tweaks at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen!
Our visit to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen was delightful. My husband had the chicken wrap with broccoli rice casserole, and I opted for the pecan salad. We also shared the croissants, which were a fantastic start. The chicken in my salad was tasty, though I would have preferred it cut into smaller pieces. My husband's sandwich was excellent, and the broccoli rice casserole was a hit, though the portion size could have been a bit larger. Overall, everything was well executed, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great job, Cheddar's!
Terrible
Food came out pink and Slimey I thought it was just fat I got a full rack off " fall off the bone ribs " terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think I'll ever go back
I've eaten at cheddars many times. The food is always decent. The services usually good. Today is a real disappointment. There seemed to be only a few people eating tonight. The waitress was pleasant and my food was served promptly. first came the drink then meal, then came the salad. Today's temperature was about 65 and rainy. It felt as though the temperature inside was about the same. I complained to the waitress that it's cold and she came back and said I told the manager. I placed my order got my dinner finished and left the tip And the manager never didn't show up and the blower blowing cold in air on me while I was eating never stopped. As best I could tell they were only about two or three tables of people. Now I know why they were not doing much business. I don't think cheddars will survive much longer. Perhaps their manager can turn it around. I wish him or her luck. I do understand that running a restaurant can be a challenge. My family owned a restaurant that seeded about 120 people. They offered good food good service and my family made a very good living I wish cheddars luck I don't think they're gonna be here much longer, I hope I'm wrong and I hope they get their act together,
Disappointing, but had friendly waitstaff
Comfort food at reasonable prices. Wait staff were good but food not so much. The starters were lukewarm and the lemon pepper chicken main was tough and salty on a poor portion of rice. The chicken tenders and shrimp were better as was the hot spinach dip, but overall quite disappointing.
If there was an option for ZERO stars, that would be my rating
THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. The manager is so unprofessional it's not even funny. I wouldn't step foot in a cheddars ever again if my life depended on it.
Disappointed
Ordered a medium rare steak, it came medium, no pink, 2 times. Talked to the manager, he did not apologize, ask what I wanted. He just took it. Service was so slow, 20 minutes for a beer
Waitress Ruined Last Family Dinner
I've recently moved to Symerna and my father and I started going to Cheddars for dinner. While the first 3 times were very good- the fourth time was horrible. The waitress was the most rude and unprofessional person I've ever met. It was my dads last night in Symerna before flying out and the waitress really ruined our evening. -She made an angry comment under her breath when my dad asked for water. -she did not initially bring straws. -She said my ID looked fake. -She got my Dad's sides wrong. -She insisted that she could not break neither a 100 or a 50 dollar bill on a $40 tab. Wanted card only. -She left another tables dirty bread roll plate at our table to " encourage " us to leave faster. While I'm not sure how the management deals with this- I hope they know that it makes the whole staff look bad, despite having some very good workers. I will not visit this restaurant anymore, nor will I bring visiting family or friends here either. I hope management addresses this workers behavior because it only takes one worker to ruin a restaurants hard warded reputation.
Good food, bad service
We waited 30 minutes for a table, when we finally got seated, we waited 15-20 minutes for a server. We finally stopped someone and asked if we had a server. When he finally showed up to take our drink order, we waited another 5-10 minutes for our drinks. Our food arrived fairly quickly but our server only came to check on us once. We paid our ticket at the table and left without him acknowledging that we were leaving. The food was good but will not be back to this location because of the service.
Out of what???
Where do I start? Told it was a 25 minute wait. Waited 45 minutes for a seat. Mass confusion on seating. Had 2-3 people come by unsure who was supposed to be our server. Finally had a girl come by and took drink order. Waited 15 minutes for drinks. She came and brought drinks and my wife's drink was wrong. When she came back she informed us that they were out of shrimp and a few other items. By the time she returned again, needed drinks refilled. They were out of broccoli casserole by this time. She seemed totally disconnected and " lost " even though we know she has been there awhile. My wife told me that based on her past experiences there that this particular server was horrible. She took our order and we waited more. She realized I needed a refill and brought me an unsweet tea with no ice. My wife and I like extra ice, so when she came back by we asked for more ice. We were told that they were out of ice and would have to drink our drinks without ice. She had the nerve to tell us the ice man didn't bring enough ice!! WTF?! Really??! We got up and left without even eating our food. We usually love Cheddars, but this will probably cause us to go elsewhere until they get their s**t together. Rediculous!!!
dinner after the fest
we got really good service here, the coconut shrimp was awesome, as was the painkiller sauce that came with it. and according to my wife so was the painkiller cocktail, we got fish with shrimp it was really good, really liked the server at our table.
All but the fries
We stopped at this Cheddars restaurant on our way down I-24 on vacation. We love their made from scratch menu items and especially their luscious chicken fingers and honey mustard served with slaw and fries. All was excellent, including the service by Kaitlyn, except the fries on my platter were just so so. Mainly due to being nearly 50% of them as small bits and pieces or overcooked / discolored. Either they were down to the " dredges " in the fry batch or there is not any QA to remove the unwanted pieces and parts before they hit the fryer and eventually the customer's plates. Could do better at Cheddar. BTW, still no onion rings back on their new menu. Bummer! Gotta love their beautiful well kept aquariums and nice decor when visiting.
Yum
The loaded cheddar fries appetizer was very good. The chicken pot pie was outstanding. Sirloin steak was good, Chicken tenders and shrimp were also good. The service was a little spotty. We ran out of drinks. One meal was wrong and the manager brought the right one immediately
The best, as always
As always this place has great food, great service and very kid friendly. The menu was limited though, its 2020.
Bad Service
I love Cheddar's, we usually dine in Murfreesboro, but coming back from Nashville, we decided on the Smyrna location. The food was okay, but our service sucked. Our service obviously had something going on before we arrived. She was very abrasive the whole visit, never smiled, barely spoke. We ordered our beverages and onions rings first. After being served our beverages, she took our entree order. My wife's salad came out first, a very long wait on the onions rings. My wife flagged the server to come over and asked if she could have bread. After awhile she returned and said it would be 13 minutes before bread was ready. The bread never came (which was included with her meal). Finally, the onions rings came out about 30 seconds before our meal, we had not even tasted of the appetizer yet. So while we were enjoying the onions rings, our entrees became cold. She never checked back to see if we were okay. She never refilled our beverages (which were empty through the while meal). She brought our check and slapped it down on the table without making eye contact or saying anything. I laid out my credit card and after a few minutes she picked it up, cashed us out, slapped it back on the table again with no eye contact and without saying anything. She almost ran out of the restaurant and sat on the curb and lit up a cigarette. My wife said she thought she looked upset. I feel for her, but she should not be working and taking her frustrations out on the customer. Seems like she should have been better trained. I prefer the Murfreesboro location.
We got the salmon w mango
We got the salmon w mango salsa and grilled shrimp w baked potato n broccoli, then also a classic burger w fries, the trio appetizer. All so good!
Great food, excellent value
We have eaten there twice in 2 weeks. The food is quality and the price is great! Every server we've had has been wonderful! Try this place!
Spasagna
I love getting the Spasagna with the crescent rolls. Yuuuum!!! They also make a wicked apple martini
Excellent always
Our family loves this place and we have never had a bad dinner at all. Great and fast service, delicious fresh food and yummy croissants and desserts.
Great food
Nice selection of dishes and my favorite is the Monte Cristo sandwich that you dip int raspberry jam. This giver you a great difference of flavors to savor.
Nothing special
I enjoy eating at Cheddar's. However, yesterday was a bit odd. Seated with no waiting. But servers were not around. There were six tables in our area and three servers. Each table only had 2 or three in the party and one was a family. Our server said she would be right back and she did eventually return with drinks and left again. She returned later and took our order and again was gone for a good bit. Finally returned with refills that were not requested or needed as the first ones were still sitting there. She returned again to tell us our meal would be out soon. Another person actually brought our food. The meals were good but you could tell they had been sitting for a while. As soon as she returned again we asked for to-go boxes for fear she would not return timely. I would have paid cash but had to use credit. I was concerned because she took another table's meal order while on the way to complete my payment. I did get my payment and the CC back. I could not leave my standard 20% tip because of the slowness of the server. We were a party of two and spend 1.5+ hrs there. Normally about an hour. The store was not busy and as for her disappearing, maybe she had other tables in other areas or perhaps she was new to Serving. I have patience and hope that she will pick up the pace in time.
Good food
Came into town late one rainy evening. Was hungry and looking for a nice warm meal to eat. Cheddar's is always been a nice place to grab a nice warm meal.
Good food for the $$
Stopped here on the travel to Nashville.. saw this restaurant had a good yelp score and we went. It was a very wise decision. The menu had so many choices and it was hard decision. I started with the baked potato soup and then had a sandwich and potato. It was loaded but it was unfortunately just deli meat. Had I known that I would have changed my selection. Overall a good stop and with it being a chain (found out after the fact) I'd go back for sure.
I'm so shocked of the horrible service
I'm a super fan of Cheddars restaurant. So while visiting Franklin Tennessee, I raved and boasted about how wonderful Cheddars is. So I took my friends on Memorial Day. We ordered our food. By the way, it wasnt crowded as it normally is. After 1 hour we did not receive our appetizers nor our entrees. So I went to inquire about it. Comes to find out, our server dipped and went home because he had an emergency. So the manager got someone to deliver our cold food after our food just sat there waiting to be delivered. My friends were so disappointed. My friend's blackened salmon she ordered was not blackened. The cook just sprinkled alot of red pepper on it to make it look blackened. So I told the new server to make sure that I'm not being charged for my appetizer. The manager came and apologized and gave credit to some of my friends. I paid for my food. I just want to declare that NO TEAMWORK was demonstrated here. I was absolutely embarrassed to have recommended this place. Being a nurse in a hospital, I deal with short staff and customer service all the time. I am certain that in order to strive successfully, Teamwork is an essential component that results in positive outcomes. Therefore, my advice to the restaurant is implement education in your store on " The importance of team work "
Kinda Perfect
So, what makes a good family restaurant? Is it the food or the service or the kitchen staff or? The food was good. The service was good (under the circumstances... holiday weekend... wait staff out). The kitchen staff... good. The restaurant was busy... lots of families... kind of a zoo environment... too noisy. Overall... good. Prices are realistic. It's just good. Ah.. well, that's it. Really... not bad. Sometimes you eat somewhere and you think... " wow ". And sometimes it's just... ok. Such is the case here. Enjoy.
Seriously
I think they forgot us. How can tables sit AFTER us and finish their meals BEFORE we even get our food? Unbelievable!
Magnificent
Cheddars is the place to hang out with friends to fellowship, laugh, and eat great food!!! The atmosphere is always wonderful and the service is always exceptional!!!
Amazing Tower of Onion Rings!
We were driving home from a trip to Louisville and decided instead of the same old stops along the highway to try something new for us and we gave Cheddar's a try. While the photos of the Tower of Onion Rings brought us in - we also enjoyed the Original Chicken Tenders and the Chicken Pot Pie - we had soo much yummy food that we ended up leaving some.... except the onion rings - we brought them home with us. The staff was friendly and attentive and I am thinking, it maybe a good thing there isn't a Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen near us or we would eat way too much food more often.
great food
this is a 5 star if there ever was one chicken tender platter was the bomb great taste as well you will need a to go box for a whole next meal taste great for a great price in a nice place what more could one ask for
Always Satisfied
Even when they are busy, there usually isn't too bad of a wait. The food has always been amazing. I highly recommend the Spasagna and the crescent rolls are to die for. They also make a really good appletini
Love it
We are never disappointed with our visits to Cheddars. Got the blackened salmon and it is really great. The croissants you can order are so flaky and hot drizzled with honey butter. Good portions and prices are great.
Terrible experience
This is the worst Cheddars I have ever visited! Service is terrible food was OK and management was very rude! The waiter dumped water in our laps and the manager thought it was funny and threatened to make us leave. The gust around us could not believe it!
new Orleans pasta
This food was great. The service was outstanding. We did not have to wait long for our food. The manager came to our table and asked did we need anything. What a great experience.
Best outdoor dining
Outdoor dining had excellent ambiance (for a high traffic area). Prices are reasonable and food flavor was very good. Decent meal for decent price on a lovely patio, with stone water fountain!
First visit ever
We had never eaten at Cheddar's before and had a wonderful experience. After what should've been a 2 hour drive being 3+ hours, we were tired and hungry. We ordered the spinach dip, queso and salsa and chicken tender appetizer. It was great. And so much food! I let the chicken tenders be my daughters meal and just ordered her a side of fries. My husband got the ribs and loved them. I got the grilled chicken Alfredo. It was great. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Will be a restaurant chain we look for!
Great Food and Service
We went for a Late Lunch and got the Country Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Green beans. I asked for extra Gravy, and wanted More and the Waitress got Me some More which was Delicious. Did not have Room for Dessert Bummer because if their as half as Good as the Food I bet would be Great. We had Wonderful Service
Love this place!
The food was fantastic and the service was even better. We loved the atmosphere and the drink prices were very reasonable. I love Cheddars and I really want one in my home town of St. Louis now.
Worth the money
Come here at least twice a month. It's worth the money. The drinks are delicious. Chicken tenders are huge.
Scratch kitchen?... PLEASE!
My husband & I have tried several Cheddar restaurants in our travels (our hometown & neighboring towns don't have them!) and have always been delighted with everything about them, this one gives the chain a bad 'name' (IMO) !! Croissants were cold (ordered as an appetizer) salad was 80% carrots, entree (Glazed Chicken & Mushroom Dijon) was disgusting! From SCRATCH? Mushrooms from a can??? GROSS! And the baked potato was inedible_hard as a rock!!... keep driving, you DONT want to eat here!! (I had to choose a rating otherwise I would have given it a ZERO!)
Poor service and not a great place but the food was okay
We had a waiter who had no enthusiasm, little knowledge of the menu, and found the place was not very clean. The first thing I noticed was the place smelled like an old dish clothe. Food however was not bad. I would not return based on my experience, even though the food was fine.
Employee of the month
Reciently took my employee of the month out for celebration and it was great. Service was outstanding and food was above average. Will make this a regular.
Food was great
Stopped in for visit with family. The food was great and huge portions. The service was so-so. We were bought out dirty dishes. Family was amazed about the food portion size.
After a great experience at Cheddar's Murfreesboro location, Smyrna was disappointing
We had a great experience at the renewed Cheddar's location in Murfreesboro. However, this location was average, at best. The service was OK and the food was average. I was truly disappointed after having a great meal in Murfreesboro several months ago. I know the stores have been remodeled and the menus have been retooled. The service needs improvement.
Terrible
Please do not waste your time. They sold the place changed the name and ran as fast as they could down hill. The waitress was rude the hostess was beyond rude and half the food was cold. The bartender was the best part of the entire visit props to him.
Very Dissapointed
We have visited this place many time when in Smyrna. I am a collegiate coach and always bring my team to eat here. This past weekend we wait 30 minutes to be seated which when the food is great that isn't a problem. Unfortunately this past visit was not the case. It took forever for our food to come out and just before it was brought to us they informed us that Chicken Pot Pie was out and would take 20 minutes to make it... Then why didn't they start the 30 minutes before that when we put our order in. We asked to get it to go and the put the inside of pot pie in a to go container and a flat piece breading on top. I ordered Chicken finger strip basket and and my chicken was cold. Every table around us has issues with food. Very disappointed.
Family Dining
We met for a birthday party for 10. The service was friendly and our food came out in a timely fashion. Everyone was pleased with their food. The menu is very diverse. something for everyone. The salmon was especially good.
Always good!
As we travel we always find food at cheddar's to be consistent and this location did not disappoint. The onion rings are to do for and always plentiful for sharing. We love their salads and today I tried a lighter fare option of grilled white fish and it was wonderful. Definitely recommend this franchise!
Terrible.
Terrible food. Terrible service. Stay away! Teenaged servers. Over cooked under seasoned food. Huge disappointment. Never ever again.
Slow!
We had a party of six and I thought that I was going to die of old age before I got out of this place. Service was fair and the food was just average. Some of the people at my table had hot food and some had very cold food. If we weren't in such a hurry to get out of there some food would've been sent back! I noticed other tables having trouble with getting there food on time and some even got the wrong orders. I need to emphasize the fact that we arrived earl for lunch and they weren't crowed at all. I even heard some yelling coming out of the kitchen. Not a good eating experience at all. We even had to get the waitress to bring us our bill. I can't recommend this place based upon my visit.
Mediocre Dinner
Wait was long, had to ask manager to check on appetizer and a straw. We got it a minute later; it was warm (not hot). The rest of the food was served timely. I had the Spagana; a lasagna made with spaghetti. It was very mediocre. The marinara sauce was too thick funky tasting. I scraped it off. The spaghetti itself, was bland. I asked for grated cheese to improve on the flavor. The cheese was never offered! On pasta!! Hubby had the Chicken Fried Steak and, although it looked big, it was mostly breading. He didn't eat much at all. Mom-in-law had the Chicken Tenders meal; she wasn't impressed either. The server barely checked in once. Didn't offer dessert, although we wouldn't have had any anyway. Totally mediocre. It can confirmed why we really don't care for Cheddar's. Yea, we won't be back anytime soon.
Jim O
Using up bonus cards before they expire. Can't beat free lunches. Thanks Cheddars. No doubt we will return.
Monte Cristo 🤤
If you love funnel cakes and deli sandwiches, you should try it! It's like the two had a baby and thus, the Monte Cristo was born! So delicious! I can share it with my husband and it's enough to feed the both of us!
We love Cheddar's!
Cheddar's is always a great choice when dining out. We have relocated to Nashville and were staying in Smyrna and it was nice to go somewhere familiar to us with great food we love. Would highly recommend Cheddar's in Smyrna, TN!
Big portions!
We went late to this restaurant and still had a short wait. It was a Saturday late night. About an hour before closing. The service was great. Never had to ask for a refill. We had the Santa Fe Dip with chips. Hot and Yummy. Also had a frozen Mango margarita which was delicious! They made it perfect. Our entree which we could have shared was Chicken fried chicken for my husband and Chicken fried steak for me. I wouldn't recommend the chicken fried steak. The breading just slipped off of the steak. I've had better. The chicken fried chicken however was YUMMY!
Disappointed
Service was great. Took wife and grandchildren for dinner. I ordered the chicken fried steak a southern staple. The meat must have been precooked then battered and pan fried a little too long on one side. Parts of the steak as shown in the picture were fried dried and hard. The mashed potatoes and grren bean sides were okay but the steak ruined the meal. You just don't mess up on a southern dish like this unless you don't know what you're doing. Since we were pressed for time I didn't have time to send it back. Don't recommend it.
Good food for the price
This was our first time to eat here.. We came to at there with a friend of mine and her fiancé.. For starters don't ask for the wifi password they won't give it to you. The service was okay, but not wonderful. It took about 15 minutes just to get our drinks while we waited for our friends to get there. The food was good, fresh, and made to order. It's a great place for families and is handicap accessible. Overall the place was clean and the staff was friendly.
Much variety to enjoy
There are so many delicious choices that I wind up changing my mind on every visit, but feel you cannot go wrong. Based on a past visit, I chose to come to Cheddar's for lunch for the tilapia with mango salsa, and decided on the Dijon chicken with mushrooms instead. Both are great. Also had the spinach dip which is incredible plus some. Really like the decorative surroundings (quite unique). Lots of flora surrounds, a fish tank, and swirling bamboo ceiling fans create a pseudo tropical feel. Additionally the staff above attentive.
nasty menus
unbeliveable, more food on the menu than the plate! just kidding, but of the four menus we were given, 3 had greasy finger smears, splattered food. they just looked and felt nasty. not a good first impression. would have given them a five otherwise.
Best food!
I have been to Cheddar's from Texas to TN and every single one has top notch same taste. The mixed drinks are expensive but the Painkiller is WORTH it :)
Love this Restaurant
Cannot say enough good about this restaurant. Great service and wonderful food. The portions are plentiful. I have been to two different locations and they both are equally good. The alcoholic beverages are to die for. The fruit tea is great also. I love the sides broccoli cheese casserole and red beans and rice. The catfish is the best I have ever had. I love the Monte Crisco sandwich it is divine. Everything I have ever eaten there is fantastic. It may be a chain but it's the best one.
Better Than Fast Food Not As Good As Fine Dining
" Casual Cafe " it says over the door and that about sums it up. It's a cafe without the creativity of small business ownership and with the bulk buying power of corporate depravity. The portions are growth hormone sized and the food is cooked for middle of the road patronage: fried bland with few veggies and no garnish. I didn't really enjoy it very much, but it's better than average junk food eateries.
Passing Through!!!
I've seen others share their experience with Cheddar's but had not had the opportunity to experience it for myself. We were coming through Nashville and looking for somewhere to have dinner. Cheddar pops up. We wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we are greeted by Kelsey. She welcomed us as fist time visitors and gave us great recommendations. My husband had the Country Style Chicken. It was not your traditional fried chicken (leg, breast, wing or thigh) which we were expecting, it was a fried breast fillet. He said it was very good. I ordered the key West chicken and shrimp. It was really good. My daughter had the chicken tenders and shrimp combo. All of our dinners were generous portions. Of course, we had to try the honey croissants, they were delicious. We ended the evening with the Monster Cookie for dessert. Everything we ordered did not disappoint. It was all delicious. I would definitely stop here again whenever I'm in the area.
Good food
This restaurant is a great family place to eat. Fried catfish and chicken tenders are good. I also enjoy the cheeseburgers. Kids macaroni needs improvement. Most of the time out service is good. About every third time we go we get a slow server that makes you ask for everything and is no where to be found.
Best restaurant in all of Nashville!
We go there as a family at least once a week. Great prices and large portions. Quality of food is excellant.
The service was very poor including the manager on duty at that time
We had a party of 7 people that went there for a friend's birthday dinner. The service was very slow. There were hardly anyone there but took about an hour to get our food. We had to get up and ask for our drinks to be refilled. Cheddar has a policy or the manager had her own, they told us that there was a two drink of alcohol limit per person there. On our table, there were a total of 9 alcoholic drinks. We had 7 people there, that would am out to 14 alcoholic drink we were allowed. The manager came to out table and told us we were cut off. I'm not sure if they had something against us but she said we could not order anymore alcoholic drinks and we were too loud. We were sitting out on the patio and it was a birthday dinner. We're we the only people out on the patio at the time and not sure why they said we were too loud. But anyways, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Love it-BUT
We absolutely love this place and try to go at least once a month. The service, and food is always excellent. However the one thing that has plagued this place is the noise level is awful. I don't know if it's the acoustics or the people here are just louder than usual. Even the servers have agreed it is noisy to the point of irritation. We put up with ti because the food is great and priced well.
Need better side selection
Most of their menu is good with a few exceptions: the chicken tenders are bland and have no taste, the green beans are sweet and their side selection leaves something to be desired! When you get a steak, you can sub a salad but you have to pay more... for what?... you sub it for BOTH sides AND you have to pay more? And sweet green beans?! Where are you from? Gross! Just a few of the reasons we no longer go to Cheddar's. Their prices are pretty good, just not a good selection and the up-charge for a salad... ridiculous!
Nice evening meal
Have eaten at Cheddar's before and this site was as good as the others. Had BBQ ribs and grilled chicken salad. w / pecans. The ribs were well done and sauced, and the greens crisp, chicken moist and not dried or overly salty out like some we have had at other restaurants. The staff provided good customer service. Reasonably priced, Cheddar's provided a nice evening meal after a long day of travel.
Terrible experience
An hour later your waiter starts to inform you that there is a problem in the kitchen and that is what is taking so long. I'm ok with that as long as the food is good, it wasn't, and they obviously have issues. We had several choices for dinner tonight, we picked the wrong place, that won't happen again.
Bang for your buck
My first trip to a Cheddars but will NOT be my last. The restaurant was very clean, very friendly, and really very very good. The prices are low and the portions are big. Me and my son had the Country Fried Steak and neither one of us could finish it. My wife had the Shepards Pie, and she also took some home. All of the meals were wonderful. Highly recommended !!!
do you need 4 lite beers and no craft beer
Stopped here for a beer before going back to the hotel. No craft or local beer - shocking to me since now I find craft beer everywhere. Menu looked okay - a chain that seems to want to please everyone with burgers, many chicken options, and more -- I will try the food sometime. But this stop was for beer and when the best they have is Yuengling (that is good beer, but the only choice) then I tend to not go back.
Cheddars
Cheddars has large servings of excellent foods for a reasonable price. We love the restauarant. We go quite often at dinner but they have alot of lunch specials also.
Great food!
Great food, wonderful sevice, fantastic atmosphere! Our favorite place to eat in the 'Boro, hands down! The prices are very reasonable, so we spend a lot of family time there.
Excellent food
Cheddar's if family oriented. The food is delicious. You get a lot of food for the money you pay which is very reasonable. My family and I go here often & enjoy it every time. I strongly recommend Cheddar's to everyone that is looking for a well priced meal that is very filling.
A Family Favorite
We love this place. You get a lot for your money, the food is always amazing, and the service is tops. Few places are up to the standards this places meets regularly.
Down home country cooking
This restaurant has to be the best on my list. They have the best chicken tenders we have ever had not over seasoned light crispy crust and the most awesome honey mustard sauce. Their loaded potato soup is especially good so good that I have been trying to fix it myself. Very reasonable price restaurant. and gives you plentiful portions. Every thing that have tried has been very tasteful.
Love it!!
You must try the cheese broccoli casserole and fried shrimps! Can you tell I like seafood? The croissants are buttery and a must... careful, they're quite addictive. They're usually super pack during lunch, so you must get there early to avoid the line at the door waiting to be seated.
Price is Right! Food is Delicious!
I had been to the cheddar's restaurant in Macon Ga and it was delicious so I was very excited to see the Cheddar's in Smyrna, TN. The set up is just the same and the food just as scrumptious as I had remembered. The atmosphere is much like Red Lobster, Outback, O'Charley's.... casual attire or really whatever you want to wear. I think on one of my visits to the Macon restaurant, there were people there in semi formal attire. I guess it just depends on what the occassion is. The premise of the owners is to offer quality food at an affordable price. They have far exceeded this goal. Food is wonderful and the price just can not be beat! We have eaten with three teenage boys plus me and my husband for under $60 including soda's and desserts from at least two of us. Very affordable. From the appetizers, we have had chicken tenders and spinach dip.... both yummy. They serve complimentary rolls that are divine! Melt in your mouth. A salad and those rolls are a nice entree as the salads are plentiful! We have tried everything from the burgers, steak, ribs..... all very tasty and flavorful. I don't think you can go wrong with any selection. We don't live near a Cheddar's restaurant, but everytime we have the opportunity to dine in one -- we will take it!
Great food but noisy, mostly noisy
My wife and I went on a Saturday night. The place was packed. The food, service, value was great. My only problem was the noise level. The floors are tile, walls are brick, ceiling is wood so there is nothing to absorb the sound.
Great value!
You can go here and order things that are a bit pricey but the plates are massive. You won't leave hungry! And its good quality. It is always packed though, so expect a 15-45 min wait.
Exceptional meal
The salmon was tasty-not dry, the Southern green beans & carrots were perfect. My husband's steak was very tender, the broccoli-cheese casserole was great. Would have liked a hot roll along with meal without extra charge, but it was good eating for an Anniversary.
Good food and friendly staff
Good food, decent prices, friendly staff! I will eat there again when I am in the area...
Horrible
Hubby and I went to dinner here on the recommendation of co-workers are friends. After waiting nearly an hour for a table, the fish I had was rubbery and tough, and he couldn't finish his steak. I have no idea if we picked a bad night or what, but this place was just awful. We won't be back.
Very impressed
After reading others review we gave this place a shot and I'm glad we did! Our waiter (tall skinny white guy) sorry I'm bad with names.. Was awesome! He made great recommendation of the queso and the cheese bites appetizers and they were so good we were till by the time dinner came... I got the Monte cristo sandwich and he got the fish tacos. The sandwich didn't disappoint but the fish tacos he said he's had better. If we have time before our trip is over we will defiantly stop again and get the same apps but try different meals...
Business Trip
Good food at a good price, not fancy, but filling and enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and was always present without being intruding.
Great Food Cheap
We went and had a great meal. Everyone at our table really enjoyed their meal. The Service was great. We were shocked to have find at great place to eat so cheap. Get there early people know about this restaurant
I REALLY want to like this place... but.
I've been here several times. I've enjoyed the food, something for everybody. Yet, I dread hearing that a family member has chosen this place for a special occasion. Why? It's simply erratic and inconsistent when it comes down to getting seated. EVERY time I've been here there has been a problem, or several problems. They do not take reservations. They insist on all members of a party being present before being seated. They seem to get a large number of big parties, yet are not set up to deal with them. I understand wait times are estimates. So, 10 minutes is probably 20. But there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who gets seated - until you consider the big parties. I think their largest tables seat 8-9 and there aren't many of those. So, a party of 12 can't sit at the same table. Cheddars " solves " that by seating parties at adjacent tables or in adjoining booths. Which means... parties that could fit at a table or in a booth can't be seated, because overflow from big party tables has to be accommodated at nearby tables first. After waiting 20 minutes for a 10 minute wait, we asked for an update, only to be told that the " buzzing coaster " would notify us. Ten minutes later, we asked again - only to learn that the " buzzing coaster " had apparently not gone off, because we had been skipped over. There were puzzled clumps of employees at the host station periodically, looking at listings and, I suppose, hoping for miracles. Finally, someone said they had a table for us and would clear it off. Ten minutes later, we were told that the table had been given to somebody else, that a party of five was " hard to seat " and it would be " another 10 minutes. " Meanwhile, despite the absolute gorgeous weather, the outside seating area remained closed... We opted to leave. If Cheddars is reading this, here's a hint - the parties of four to six that walk away because your staff can't manage the seating are costing you money and are unlikely to give it another try.
