Charming bistro on quiet residential street in Miraflores, furnished in colonial style with art gallery and library. Delicious selection of Peruvian food and German pastry, all homemade. Delectable fresh roasted local coffee, refreshing beer and fine wine from the old and new continent, wide range of " sours " and " chilcanos ". Café Rilke is a private initiative to earn money for the Jesuit's social projects which help children, teenagers and elderly people in extreme poverty and state of abandonment to improve their living conditions.

Restaurant fermé
Le Rilke n'existe plus depuis plusieurs mois et c'est dommage. C'était un cadre agréable avec des concerts et causeries plusieurs fois par moi. Cadre très sympa.
YA NO EXISTE EN ESA DIRECCIÓN. QUEBRÓ O SE MUDÓ A OTRO LUGAR
Fuimos ayer a la dirección consignada sólo para encontrar el local cerrado con el letrero " se alquila ". En TripAdvisor no tienen que estar al tanto de todo lo que ocurre pero por esoeste aviso para que otras personas no pierdan el tiempo en ir a este sitio que se veía tan bien en su página web. (Y los dueños podrían tener la delicadeza de poner en su página " cerrado ")
Lomo Saltado
Este fin de semana probé el lomo saltado del Rilke. Preparado con lomo fino en su punto de una suavidad y textura perfectas hace prácticamente innecesario el uso del cuchillo. Las papas doradas son tan crocantes que no se humedecen con los jugos propios de este plato único.
Un Café diferente!
Es un café que inspira calidez, decoración con madera, muebles cómodos, muebles tallados, y un salón ambientado como salón - biblioteca muy bonito, llegué con mi esposa y mi hijo (quien es muy observador) al que le gustó el ambiente, los sándwiches ricos y precios adecuados, definitivamente un lugar para volver en pareja, en familia o sólo...
Un lugar diferente
Café Rilke es un lugar diferente y especial, no sólo por la decoración de cada uno de sus ambientes sino también por la carta y la atención. No dejen de probar el pato y de postre la novela de ajedrez. El té de manzana es también muy bueno. Si les gustan los ambientes con chimenea, biblioteca disfrutarán sin duda la peculiar ambientación de este local instalado en una casa miraflorina muy cerca de la Av Larco.
Maravilha!
Bem discreto, surpreende desde a entrada com música clássica e uma sala de livros. Recepção atenciosa, propôs prato lomo saltado... muito apetitoso, legumes com sabor e sem exagero nos temperos, tudo muito bem apresentado. A preocupação do restaurante é óbvia. Além disto, apoia obras sociais jesuítas... Definitivamente, uma ótima opção!

Es un café con una atmósfera que transmite tranquilidad. La decoración muy bonita, el servicio muy bueno, el café muy bien hecho y la ubicación bastante buena.
Buena calidad
Buena calidad del producto y buena atención del personal. Tardaron un poquito en traer la cena, pero es señal que cuando te lo traen está todo recién hecho. Cantidades no abundantes pero muy bueno todo.

Café da manhã muito bem servido e preço justo. Comemos o café da manhã completo e o preço vale muito a pena. Funcionários atenciosos.
Lindo y acogedor lugar.
Fui con mi marido a cenar, ya lo habiamos visto al caminar por ahí, asi que decidimos conocer. El lugar es fantástico, muy acogedor, linda decoración, buena música. La atención fué espectacular, muy amables. La comida; una carta variada en donde puedes elegir entre entradas, fondos, postres, bebidas, jugos, vinos, cervezas, etc... Grato ambiente para ir, ya sea a tomar desayuno, almuerzo o cena. Lo recomiendo👍🏼.
Pleasant surprise
We stumbled upon this restaurant walking around on our first night in Lima not knowing what to expect, and this place was amazing! Extremely friendly staff, cozy and inviting atmosphere, and delicious artisan cocktails and food. The lomo saltado is an absolute must for dinner and the novela de ajedrez for dessert. Servers were very patient with our limited Spanish speaking and made us feel welcome. Would definitely go back here. Highly recommended!!
Lovely atmosphere for a relaxing meal
Five of us stopped in for lunch on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. Excellent service (Giancarlos took great care of us) and food that was delicious and well presented. The priced fix lunch was S / 25 and was well worth it. A few of the items on that menu were sold out, but we were happy with our second choices. The restaurant has several rooms to dine in. Take a look in the library. It is quite sweet. Save room for a cappuccino! Artistically presented!
Un gran ambiente
Al Rilke lo encontramos por casualidad, como una cosa del destino. Mi mejor amiga lo vio un día mientras iba con el carro y supo en ese momento que debía volver ahí, pero conmigo. Y así lo hizo. Tiene un jardín delantero con una mesa por si quieres esperar un rato o acompañar con un cigarro el café del día. Otra de sus salas alberga una pintura de gran tamaño. Mi favorita está llena de libros. Es tal y como todos los amantes de un buen libro y un café podrían imaginar tener una sala. Demás está decir que el café es rico y los postres muy buenos.

Un café con personalidad, me gusta mucho, voy muy seguido y es tan grato y placentero que celebré mi cumpleaños en el Rilke. encargué con un día de anticipación el menú con el que quería agasajar a mis primas y amigas. Todo riquísimo, el quiche, las tostas y Cecilia me ofreció para postre que invitara el Paris Flem, delicioso ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Hidden gem in Miraflores
We visited Cafe Rilke on Saturday night. It is not clear why is it called Rilke and not Schiller or Goethe but the collection of books and antique objects made very enjoyable surroundings. The background music was fine operatic arias. However one does not go to a restaurant to read books but to eat and there was plenty of fine food and drink at Rilke. First of all we had excellent chilcano with maracuya. For dinner one of us had duck with delicious rice mixed with vegetables and the other had chicken in orange sauce. Both were very nicely presented. At the end we had 'Anna Karenina' delicious ice desert. In summary a very nice and unique place, excellent and attentive service for a very reasonable price. A real European-flavored gem on the Pacific coast.

Acogedor, tranquilo, buena atención, la ensalada de quinua estaba muy buena, el té verde con jazmín un buen acompañante. Lugar tranquilo para tener una conversación agradable.
nice & cozy
I love this place, been here twice in a weekend, it's very cozy and great service, the food is really delicious, the quinotto with broccoli and mushrooms is just exquisite! the ambience and music is great for time to chillout a bit!
One of the best places in Lima
Delightful dinner in such a cozy ambience. Many books for reading in several languages, And the desserts!! One of the best dark chocolate I've ever tried with a ginger ice cream. I highly recommend this place.
Fantastic!
I spent a lovely afternoon working and snacking with colleagues. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food, drinks were fantastic and we never felt pressured to give up the table. Good wifi. We had dinner there before and could not wait to come back. An absolute must for any traveller staying in Miraflores looking for a relaxing place. The home made pasta was very good, and the best pisco sours I had in my Lima week.
Arte música y gastronomía
Arte música y gastronomía se dan de la mano en este lugar, una propuesta diferente, bonita decoración, en uno de los salones encontramos juegos de mesa, en las ventanas podemos apreciar frases del poema " Las rosas " de Rainer María Rilke. Ofrecen una carta variada, platos, postres y por supuesto un buen café, todo acompañado por música en vivo. Si quieres salir de la rutina este es el lugar adecuado.
Merienda en miraflores
Tras un intenso dia caminando y recorriendo miraflores nos topamos con este encantador cafe bistro, los sillones reconfortantes para nuestros cansados pies, la decoracion del lugar, la musica, la atencion de Giancarlos, las antiguas arañas todos los detalles super elegidos y cuidados. El cafe con leche exquisito con una ricaa espuma, la torta picadura de abeja deliciosa. Volveremos!!
Relaxing place, but service needs work
This is a charming, relaxed place to have tea and light snacks or desserts over conversation. They have a couple of interesting Japanese green teas on the menu. I especially like the library room with its wing-backed chair and couches. However, service is slow, and needs to improve: the servers have that typical Limeño " spaced out " look on their faces as if they have never waited tables before, and they consistently missed every possible detail when I visited.
Lovely cafe in Miraflores
Cafe Rilke is a great cafe in Miraflores, located on a quiet side street. There's plenty of space to sit, from tables to arm chairs and even a few spots in the garden. The food is a bit hit or miss. A caprese sandwich I tried on one visit was lackluster, but the quinoa salad I tried on another was absolutely delicious. The service is relatively attentive, particularly by Peruvian standards.
Best coffee in Lima - a great café
A real find, and a superb alternative to the average hotel breakfast. 5 Minutes walk from Larcomar in Miraflores. Good furnishings, good decor, a comfortable range of rooms, a garden. and first class breakfasts, ranging from fresh fruit to a full fry-up. Very highly recommended.

Side street venue just a few short blocks from Larco Mar Center on the coast. Serves entrees but is great for tapas, sandwiches, quiche and just sitting around with drinks and good conversation. Very comfortable decor.
