Amazing boat, while no h & s
One of the coolest experiences of my life! Boat is pretty surreal pirate ship where you enjoy the sea and drink (reasonably priced- around 8 euros per drink as of July 2022), while don't need to pay for a ticket. It is beautiful and highly recommend! Only issue is- forget health and safety. This is pretty much half hour on the boat with bunch of people having a drink and couple of bar attenders: no lifeguards or emergency vests. Still if you feel daring enough, will never forget this experience!
Υπέροχη θέα βράδυ με πανσέληνο
Πήγαμε αυτή τη βόλτα καλοκαιρινό βράδυ με πανσέληνο. Η θέα του φεγγαριού με τη Θεσσαλονικη στο πλάνο απίστευτη. Δεν πληρώνεις είσοδο μόνο ότι πιεις. Έχουν και μουσική. Η βόλτα διαρκεί περίπου 15 λεπτά. Εντάξει δεν ήταν πολύ αλλά ήταν ωραία.

So short trip on board of lovely old style " galera ". No enough time even to have a drink. We paid 24 euro for 3 drinks.

Στην είσοδο μου ειπαν για την προσφορά 3 ευρώ είσοδο το άτομο και ότι πιω από καφέ / αναψυκτικό είναι στην τιμή. Πήρα 1 φρεντο εσπρεσσο και ενα φρέντο καπουτσίνο και πλήρωσα 12 ευρώζήτησα νερό και το χρεώθηκα και αυτό 1 ευρώ..... δεν είναι τα 7 ευρώ παραπάνω που πλήρωσα γιατί ήθελα να κάνω την βόλτα μου..... αλλά όταν λες κάτι που δεν ισχύει καλύτερα να μην το λες καθόλου.... ένιωσα ότι με κορόιδεψαν μπροστά στα μούτρα μου και φυσικά δεν θα το ξανά προτιμήσω...... η βόλτα ήταν όμορφη
Fun way to see the city
The boat was a lot of fun! We had drinks, ouzo, coffee and juice for the kids. The boat ride was not too long and not too short, and it was kitchy enough to be fun! The kids especially enjoyed it and gave us the best photos of the trip!

Fantastico aperitivo al tramonto
Siamo stati con mio marito e mia figlia a fare l'aperitivo su una delle Boat Bar ancorate di fronte alla Torre Bianca e l'esperienza è stata veramente piacevole. Mentre sorseggi l'aperitivo e senti musica la Boat ti porta a fare un giro di circa mezz'ora nella baia di Salonicco. Attrazione turistica e sinpatica da provare magari al tramoto che da una certa atmosfera

Nice and authentic Experience!
We traveled with the ARGO boat for half an hour. Such a nice boat trip. We really enjoy it. Reasonable price for the service and polite crew.

Κάναμε βόλτα στον Θερμαϊκό με το Κλειώ και ήταν φανταστικά. Το προσωπικό εξαιρετικό και ευγενέστατο. Αντιθέτως, στο καραβάκι " Αργώ ", η κοκκινομαλλα σερβιτόρα με το καρέ μαλλί ήταν απαράδεκτη και σχεδόν μας έβρισε επειδή ζητήσαμε κάτι συνοδευτικό με τα ποτά μας. Ήταν φανερά ενοχλημένη επειδή αναγκάστηκε να μείνει παραπάνω στη δουλειά της και όλη την ώρα είχε μούτρα και μας στραβοκοιτούσε. Το αποκορύφωμα ήταν όταν γυρίσαμε που μέσα στα μούτρα μας γυρίζει και λέει στον συνάδελφό της " Νίκο, άντε να τα μαζέψουμε να φύγουμε επιτέλους. ". Εμείς προσωπικά δεν πρόκειται να το ξαναεπισκεφτουμε αυτό το μέρος. Ντροπή και αισχος. Η χειρότερη εξυπηρέτηση μακράν!!!

Heel leuk om Thessaloniki van een ander perspectief te zien. Alleen ben je verplicht om drankjes te betalen. 2 cola en je bent €12 kwijt dus dat ligt aan de dure kant maar je zit wel je drankje te drinken op het water genietend van het uitzicht

This is a fun way to see the Thessaloniki harbor! We took a boat ride, there is no fee, you only pay for whatever drink you order on the boat. Great views of the the city!
Terrible idea
They said it was a " free trip " where you can drink if you want, as a cafe. When we were inside, they change the idea and said that the minimum consume was 5 euros per person. Mistaken publicity and rude waitress. I will NOT recommend you this.
Good idea
Thessaloniki Harbour isn't up there with Sydney or even Auckland's as a place for a scenic cruise, so the idea of a " FREE " cruise is a good one, with the very minor catch that you must buy a drink and of course the drinks cost double what you would pay on land. However it still means that you are paying about €3 for you 30 minute cruise. (Most drinks are €5, which won't exactly break the bank).
Great boat cruise, very relaxing
This is a rather spontaneous activity which can be done but isn't a must. The Trip takes around half an hour and it is free of charge. The only condition is to drink something. We had 2 Cocktails which didn't taste to good but the trip was very enjoyable.
Loved it! Take your trip at sunset, if you can
I took this free trip at sunset, on my own, and ended up chatting, making friends and taking photos with a lovely family - everyone seemed in a good mood and willing to help each other with photos. :) I loved that I didn't have to book, nor pay, and I just had a double espresso which cost 5 euros - yes, that's higher than you'd pay in the town centre but they've got to make their money somehow! The staff were friendly if a bit rushed getting round everyone and the boat itself is beautiful. There's also a " pirate " who comes out toward the end so you can have photos with him. It's a must-do in Thessaloniki.
Nice place to sit down and have a drink
The trip is free, but you have to buy a drink. This drink is quite expensive, but it is including the boat trip. It's a perfect place to see the city from another perspective. The boat is something special too. It is (or looks) very old.

Una opción entretenida para pasar el rato. Estos barcos salen más o menos cada hora y el paseo dura unos 45 minutos. En general, no cobran entrada, pero dentro tienes que consumir al menos 4€, lo cual no es difícil, ya que, evidentemente, los precios de las bebidas están algo subidillos. Pero el paseo por el puerto puede ser chulo, especialmente si se hace al atardecer.
Huge let down
We were excited to try the boat bar on our last night of our holiday and were enticed by the 1 plus 1 cocktail offer. We boarded the boat around 1.30am thinking the trips carried on through the night as the schedule stated trips every hour and a half. However we set off on the boat and the trip lasted all of 10 / 15 minutes. Not enough time to even finish 1 drink! We returned to the harbour and were then asked to leave due to 'weather issues', we hadn't been offered our 2nd drink yet which we had paid 20 euros for. We were initially only going to buy 2 drinks between us but the waitress had told us that we needed to pay for 4 drinks in order to receive the offer. After we were asked to leave we had to chase up the 2nd drinks which were given to us in plastic cups to takeaway as well as the bartender's explanation that it wasn't due to the weather but because it was too quiet. We felt very misled and felt uncomfortable asking for the drinks we paid for but weren't offered. Overall we were pretty disappointed and felt it was a waste of money, as weren't planning on spending so much money on drinks we had to drink in the street!
Great fun - got to be done
Okay it's probably bit cheesy, but it really is a must do activity - if only to see the city from the Bay. We had a bottle of Mythos each and this was five euros per person. So for the grand sum of €10 we had a 30 minute trip round the bay with lots of photo opportunities. Staff on board very helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

Boat trip round the harbour
Go to the white tower, this is where you will find the pirate ships, you board and then buy a drink, we had lemonade cost 13.00 euros. For two drinks, the trips takes about half and hour nice and relaxing.
Boat Trip Bar
What a nice way to have a drink and have a trip around the harbour for free. This boat trip is a bar so all you have to do is buy a drink and sit back and enjoy. Very nice in evening to see the sun set and to refresh yourself with a cool drink. The Boat is like a pirate ship and you cant miss it its by the White Tower. The time it takes you around harbour is about 30 / 40 minutes. Its a must and children are allowed too... Great way to chillout... Cool down and view. 10 out of 10
Jolie vue de ce bar flottant !
On monte et on s installe En attendant le départ on vient prendre votre commande de boisson (de 3 à 5 euros sur les softs) Puis on déguste son verre en faisant le tour de la baie en 30 mn Jolies photos à faire depuis la mer À faire au moins une fois
Something different
Only came across this by accident as I was walking along the boardwalk. It's an old fashioned style pirate ship that takes you out around the harbour to get a view of Thessaloniki from the sea. It's free to go on board as long as you by one drink during the trip. Doesn't have to be alcoholic either I had a coffee. You love from the harbour near the White Tower and the whole thing takes about 40 minutes. A great idea and something different to have with your coffee too. Really cool
Όμορφη βόλτα
30 λεπτά βόλτα με το καραβάκι δεν είναι αρκετά για να απολαύσεις την όμορφη παραλία της Θεσσαλονίκης!! Αφού παραγγείλετε ποτό, δεν χρεώνεται η βόλτα! Βέβαια η τιμή του ποτού είναι λίγο υψηλότερη από το παραλιακά μπαρ, αλλά αξίζει τον κόπο
Excelente opcion para ver el paseo desde el mar
muy buena opcion ver la costa desde el mar mientras desgustas un frappe o una jarra de cerveza, a precio de solo la consumision. Paseo de unos 40 minutos que merece la pena a bordo de un barco vikingo.

Statek - bar. Wypływa co godzinę, wstęp bezpłatny, warunkiem jest zakupienie czegokolwiek z menu za co najmniej 4 euro. W karcie wybór podstawowych napojów alkoholowych i bezalkoholowych oraz przekąsek. Ciekawy sposób na spędzenie wieczoru.
Un agréable attrape touriste
L'entrée est gratuite, bar sur le bateau avec une balade de 30 minutes sur le port. Très sympathique, à faire avec le coucher de soleil ou de nuit, car la vue est plus belle ainsi.
Touristy but fun
We were recommended the boat tours and as we needed a drink and go somewhere cool, we opted for the boat ride. Yes the drinks are slightly more expensive than on land but we got a free second Mythos with our first one. And you could buy a water for 50c and still get the boat ride. We managed to break two glasses but the waiter was really good about it. A great way to cool down for 30 minutes and do something different.

Il menu sembra ricco ma una volta saliti il gentile cameriere ci informa che molte cose non sono disponibili! Una birra senza troppe pretese ma cmq una cosa carina da fare in città consigliata nell'ora dell'aperitivo
Gratis boottocht op barboot
Stel je wil even het water op, maar je hebt geen zin om daar allerlei toeren voor uit te halen. Achter de white tower liggen bar boten, waar je gratis op mee kan als je een drankje nuttigt. De tocht voert het water op, langs de haven en weer terug. Vaartijd 30 minuten. Wij waren aan drankjes €4 per persoon kwijt. We dedn de tocht s middags toen het heet was, en de zee heerlijke verkoeling gaf. Uitstekende deal!
Tourist trap, yet enjoyable
Strolling along the coastline towards the White Tower, we noticed the 'bar boats', which advertised a free 30 mins tour round the bay with a nice view towards Thessaloniki. The trip is though not entirely free, as you are required to buy a drink at a slightly higher price compared to the prices in the cafes and bars onshore. The concept actually works, if you are able distance yourself from the very kitchy look of the boats, which are made like pirates ships. The view from they bay over Thessaloniki is worth the price for the drinks and in fact the irony of being on a pirates ship ironically adds to the experience.
Το Πειρατικο..
Πολύ ωραία βόλτα.... να δεις το να Θερμαϊκό από άλλη ματιά. Το καράβι από μόνο του σε ταξιδεύει λόγω διακόσμησης. Αξίζει γιατί με το ίδιο κόστος που θα επινες κάτι σε κάποιο καφέ της λεωφόρου Νίκης παίρνεις το " πειρατικό " και κάνεις κ την βόλτα σου. Η διαδρομή διαρκεί μισή ώρα αλλά έπειτα δεν σε διώχνει κανείς απλώς αράζει μπροστά από το λευκό πύργο.
Fun 30 minute cruise of the harbor
Taking a fun 30 minute cruise around the harbor was a nice way to see the Thessaloniki waterfront from the water. The cruise was free - people just paid for beverages. Despite being one of the first families on the boat, we were the last four served our beverages and we didn't get them until we were closer to the last part of the trip. Would have preferred faster drink service but we enjoyed it anyways.

À faire absolument de nuit c'est magique ! Il faut penser à arriver de bonne heure pour avoir une bonne place (à gauche !!!) bateau gratuit mais boisson assez cher 3€ le mini café, boissons la moins cher du bateau. 30 min magnifiques
Best part of the city!
Can I just say that we went on one of these boats each night we were in the city. What's not to love? Free boat ride, great music, great views of the city, and great experience. I highly recommend to anyone in the city. Not hard to find at all. The boats are docked right outside of the White Tower. They seemed to leave every 30 minutes on a rotation, but you could wait on the boats and start drinking before they departed. The boat ride lasted about 30 minutes.

Great boat tour of the harbor. Gets you excellent views of the main square, the white Rowe and Aleksander. The ride is free as long as you buy a beverage (non alcoholic drinks are available). Drinks were reasonably priced; Mythos (local beer) was 5€
Something different from the usual
One all day and all night attraction. During the day you can enjoy your coffe or drink having a small cruise to the Thermaikos gulf and have a view of the city from the sea. During the night you can enjoy your drink and company with the same fantastic view. The cruises last for half an hour and you go around the gulf.
Eccellente idea
Grande idea quella di ripagarsi il costo di gestione con le consumazioni. Quasi non ci credevo. Il giro dura 30-40 minuti (sconsigliato a chi soffre il mal di mare), l'idea di prendersi dei drink facendo un giro in battello è eccezionale. Soprattutto considerato che i battelli sono allestiti in stile navi pirata. Ottima occasione anche per scattare belle foto da una prospettiva differente. I prezzi sono un po' sopra la media ma sinceramente non troppo. Un mojito costa 6€, non era un capolavoro ma ci si passa sopra, il prezzo in linea con le città italiane più piccole...

καλα ειναι τα καραβακια στην παραλιακη... απολαμβανετε το ποτο σας και υπεροχη βολτα στον Θερμαικο.. κατι διαφορετικο... επανω σε ενα καραβι σας μπαρ με μουσικη πινεις και πας και βολτουλα.
船の上で乾杯！
盛り上がっている、というか夏場は大変混雑しています。夕陽を眺めながらボートの上でドリンクを！という人にもおすすめです。

Мой отзыв будет не совсем объективным, потому что мы попали с дождь, от этого на корабле было ужасно холодно, нигде невозможно укрыться от этого холода! А так если погода хорошая, то думаю приятно там посидеть, прокатиться по побережью.

Abbiamo gustato un bellissimo tramonto. è un giretto ma ci sta! Per due birre medie, 10 euro... ci aspettavamo una salassata visto che non ti fanno pagare niente per il tour!da fare
Night boat is a great way to end the evening
We chose the Arabella boat, one of three operating for a night drink and cruise around the harbor. There was even a birthday party group on board. The seagulls fly around the boat, we saw some fish jump, and all in all enjoyed ourselves. We chose the Arabella for the pseudo pirate ship decor. So much fun!

Обычно от Белой Башни курсируют три кораблика с интервалом в полчаса. Цены в меню довольно высоковаты, но учитывая включенную в цену напитков обзорную экскурсию - очень даже неплохое туристическое развлечение.

Fare un giro in barca al golfo di Termaikos in piena estate è indispensabile! L'ingresso è libero però le bevande secondo me costano un pò troppo. Per chi vuole fare una serata economica vicino a golfo si compra una biretta (dal " periptero " che sono dei mini supermercati / tabacchi e si trovano dappertutto) e si mette seduto di fianco alle barche che suonano bella musica!!!
Arabella Boat Bar - Refreshing, Relaxing, Offering Great Views
Exhausted from a tour in Thessaloniki I took the advise of other travellers and got on board of one of the boats for a coffee during a half an hour boat trip. Boats sail off from near the White tower. A trip costs the price of a drink (ca. 5-10 Euros). It was great. The Arabella was beautiful, interior and exterior. Tables and some of the chairs were made of kegs. Some young children seemed to enjoy the " pirate " experience with fruity drinks. Staff was very polite, and they served very nice creamy tasting frapee. The iced espresso was also great. The trip offered great veiws to the city. It was a nice refreshing stop before the visit to the White tower. There were 3 boats, but the Arabella is the best looking.

Tolles Erlebnis mal eben spontan und kostenlos eine kleine Tour zu machen. Währenddessen einen Cocktail trinken. Das ist Urlaub :)
Great tour
This is probably the best part of our trip. It is a free tour of the harbor but you just need to buy one drink and they are really pricy. It is really worthed to go on this boat bar. My friends and I went every night and party on the boat. Highly recommend
Excellent boat tour
The 3 tour boats offer a tour of app. ½ hour in the harbor of Thessaloniki. These cozy boats you will find next to The White Tower. Free entrance and you only pay, what you drink onboard. The waiters very polite and smiling and reasonable prises It is a very nice and relaxing tour, while watching the beautiful city of Thessaloniki from the water side. Maybe take a carriage ride after the boat tour?

Free harbor trip with view of city lights and ships at anchor
There are currently 3 boats, each slightly different variations on the sailing ship theme. We chose the reggae / Carib style boat for a sedate sail around the harbor after dark. Very clean, crew always polishing and wiping tables. No pressure to sell booze. Enjoyed cocktails on the water whilst we chugged slowly past moored container ships, past the harbor entrance and close along the shoreline viewing the bars and nightlife. Drinks same cost as on land so you have no excuse if you are in town to miss this attraction. we will be back again tonight to try another boat (rock music boat probably). Tip: take a cover up as the sea breeze can get a bit chilly, lower deck enclosed if you forget.
Uniwue
This was a dope experience for several reasons. Right in front of the white tower were a lineup of pirate like wooden boats ready for passengers! Free entrance! We sat in a corner of the boat and were immediately attended to by a waitress offering drinks. We only had to pay for whatever we drank on this boat for a 45min. Ride around the small area in the water. It was a gorgeous day, so that definitely helped.

Sailling to Thessaloniki harbor
It is the mark of Thessaloniki not white any more because it is natural stone. Great history in every step as you climb from the internal tower to the top. You must go in a clear day for the spectacular view of the harbor or in a foggy day to have an experience of a movie scenic!!

Un modo diverso per andare nel locale e prendere qualcosa da bere. Entrata libera, si paga solo la consumazione, la musica... vento... il vostro coctail preferito... che altro serve per completare la serata? Si balla, si vede scorrere il panorama della città, e ci si diverte!!! provatelo!!!
Νυχτερινή βόλτα στον Θερμαϊκό !!!!
Βλέπεις την Θεσσαλονίκη μας με άλλο μάτι!!! Η ομορφιά της μέσα από την θάλασσα και η αρχοντιά της ξεχωρίζει !!! Οι τιμές πολύ προσιτές παρόλο που είσαι εν πλω, το περιβάλλον υπέροχο θυμίζει ταξίδι πειρατικό. Δεν έχω λόγια !!!!
Йо-хо-хо и немножко рома
На набережной позади Белой башни Вы увидите несколько «пиратских» кораблей, мимо не пройдёте, т. к. конкурирующие между собой компании стараются привлечь как можно больше людей на борт своего судна. Корабли колоритно оформлены, действительно походят на пиратские. Прокатиться на таком корабле можно совершенно бесплатно, при одном условии, необходимо приобрести напиток. Меню предлагает как алкогольные, так и безалкогольные коктейли. Напитки можно заказать в баре или у официантов. Прогулки возможны в течение всего дня, но мы плавали вечером, когда город был залит огнями, а на борту играла танцевальная музыка. Отличная возможность полюбоваться городом с другого ракурса, а также зарядиться весёлым настроением. После такой прогулки непременно захочется «продолжения банкета» :)
Relax and enjoy
Very nice experience in Thessaloniki. You can see the city from the different point of view, from sea. Music is nice, the seagulls are flying above you, you can drink whatever you want (greek coffee 3e, nescafe 4-5 e, beer 5e...) bring your sunglasses and enjoy!
Totally relaxing
Just outside the White tower, there are the floating bars. I've seen two boats, Argo for which I found some contact data (don't let the kitschy decor discourage you) but also Clio, which are different companies but about the same size and concept. You sit with your friends, enjoy your drink (which is the only think you pay for and the price is normal), the music and the waves, so original! The boat goes for two small trips (half an hour long) every night. The view from the sea is absolutely wonderful, I loved so much the picture of Aristotelous square lights reflecting on the water! This is a fresh idea, I loved it, I would definitely suggest it to the visitors, I think it's a must and unfortunately not a well known one, I hope this review will take you there and I'm sure you won't regret it. I sure didn't.
Boat Bar :Free, relaxing 30 minute boat ride in the port area
We discovered the boat bar by accident. Just behind the white tower, there are three large brown traditional boats which propose free 30 minute trips around the port area in the Golf of Thessalonique, from 11:30 until late in the evening. The only requirement is to order a drink on board. The prices are the same as in the cafés around the port area or in Ladadika. We ordered our favorite: Cappuccino Freddo (4€) and it was quite good. Instead of sitting in a sidewalk café, overlooking traffic, we enjoyed the short sail with a sea breeze as we had our drink. A relaxing treat after a day of walking around the city and visiting the museums and sites. We returned several times. A great activity for children too.
