Best movie theater seating
For the most part, movies theater nowadays offer a more or less the same experience for their customers. Generally, they all offer excellent picture and sound quality, and they all charge way too much for their popcorn. AMC Maple Ridge does all these things just as good as the other theater. But there is one thing, in my opinion that they do better than anyone else. They provide their guests with the best, biggest, most comfortable, movie seats you'll find anywhere. They are extra wide, cozy, and fully reclinable, And of course each row is positioned well above the preceding row to ensure full unobstructed view of the movie screen.
Very small
Get tickets early or seats are gone. The venue is modernized and very comfortable. Large parking area and food are highlights.
Relax and Enjoy
If I'm going to the movies, I'm going to AMC Maple Ridge. Their reclining lounge seats are the bomb! Very comfortable, and you have plenty of space. Seats are in pairs- like a loveseat- with an arm rest that you can push up to cuddle up. Buy tickets online in advance- you can select your own seats and avoid waiting in line. That's a win! Huge bucket of popcorn and large soda sets you back 15 bucks. Such a scam. But all the big movie theaters concessions cost big bucks. Theater and ladies room are reasonably clean. Pretty average. Nothing seemed dirty, sticky or in need of repair. Air conditioning during our visit was nice: cool, not frigid. To me, that's an important thing. Who wants to shiver?
Great cinema
This is a great cinema. We visited twice and both times it wasn't too busy. Staff are friendly and ticket prices very reasonable. The seats are fantastic- they recline to almost flat and are very comfortable. Wide range of food in addition to the usual food at the candy bar.
Seats, Soda Vending Machine.. Mic Drop
We have been going to AMC from the good old days and we couldn't be happier when it got the softest seats in town. That plus the soft drinks vending machine makes movie dates quite awesome. We love love love this place. We do go to Regal for IMAX experience but for the others, this place is it!
Re: last minute pkans
We decided to catch Guardian's of the Galaxy 2 at this theater. I didn't know this location had assigned seating so when we we didn't have great seating choices. The purchase and seat selection was easy and the seats were unbelievably comfortable (reclining seats with foot rest). Great screen and great sound system. Highly recommend this theater.
Comfort above anything else!
We went to see Collateral Beauty at the AMC Maple Ridge 8. At first I thought the tickets were quite expensive. However, we were assigned to certain seats. Once inside the movie theatre, I was quite astonished. Every chair were made of leather and they were all La-z-Boy. Wow, they were so comfortable! Even though we were close to the screen, it was quite comfortable to watch the movie. I looked around, everyone was using the La-z-Boy and everyone was looking at the screen with tears in their eyes. After the movie was over, we wanted to see if every theater room had the same set up and yes, they too had La-z-Boys. I was quite impressed. After all, it was worthwhile to pay a higher price for these comfortable chairs. Wow! Quite worthwhile to see!
