Practical choice
Location: situated in Station 2, you have to enter an alley of budget inns in between HaloMango and Real Coffee. Basically, easy access to the beach and it's really affordable compared with other accommodation on the island. The only concern with the location is that they don't have access to the main road, you have to pass by D'Mall which is really tiring as you have to carry your stuff as they don't have a porter service in comparison with hotels Pros: - Staffs are friendly! It was a hassle-free check-in and check out. - Few steps from the beach and it's near to D Mall and Real coffee. There's a mini grocery nearby. - Quite safe as we didn't encounter any problems during our stay. - Airconditioning unit, TV, toilet flush, lights, shower and wifi are all functioning well. -The best option for those budget travellers. Cons: - They will provide you with 1 pillow, 1 blanket and 1 towel. No other amenities aside from that. - No water refill station. We wanted to refill our tumblers but they don't have free water. which is sad as we want to avoid buying plastic bottled water. - I find it hard to use the water heater. No instructions or whatever. - Rooms located on the 3rd and 4th floor are challenging. Stairs are steep, not recommended for senior citizens and children. I even find it challenging to bring my luggage upstairs and downstairs. Basically, if you just need a decent place to stay, sleep, keep your stuff and to take a bath, well this is it. especially, if most of the time you are outside having fun.
Convinience with good service
ive been in this resort twice, for a week and the other one is for 3weeks. For short time they will offer u theeir resort in station 2 and for longer stay they will offer u their place in sinagpa. Both are in nearly the same price but the same good rooms u can get. Staff are really friendly and great, thats why we keep coming back again and again. Boracay with a nice and on budget room, what would u wish for.?
Budget
We stayed at Here for 6 days in their family room. Bed is nice and the room size is good. Staff are friendly. Room floor is well polished. Air conditioned room. Small TV. Few issues. No hot water. Shower head is dirty, you don't want to touch it. Also we found 2 big earth worms (that's what we think it was) in the shower. No shower curtain to separate the toilet and the shower. When you shower you will get the whole floor wet. No space to put your toiletries. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the veranda because it smells and too many flies. Since it's few steps from the beach we spend our time at the beach front. You get what we paid for 😬
Boracay on a budget
If you are budget traveler and are planning to go to Boracay I recommend Madid's Inn. Their most affordable room rate is P1, 300 / night if it's not peak season. Just request for a room at the lower levels because in our experience at the 4th floor the sun light will hit directly on the wall and windows making the room hot and bright early morning making it uncomfortable and may disrupt your sleep. If you are traveling to Boracay to explore the place, food and the culture and don't mind much of the accommodation then this place is for you. It is located at the center of Station 2 and is conveniently just a few meters from the beach and from D'Mall. The staff there is also very hospitable.
Excellent location
I'm surprised to have found a very spacious room despite their not so typical entrance. It's clean, the bed was comfortable and I appreciate that their AC functions well. Staff are helpful too! What I liked best about this place is the fact that it's just few steps away from the beachfront, LITERALLY. Also situated near groceries / restaurants / bars making everything extra convenient! Oh, did I mention their rates are affordable too?
Good for budgetarians :)
If your just looking for a space to get through your night for your stay in Boracay, this one is for you specially if your on a limited budget. rooms are clean but no room service is available upon your stay you need to clean the room by your own, but the staff are accommodating if you requested something to them. security is not an issue since there are CCTV and guard at night. better get a room at the ground floor for ease access at the front desk and there stairs are too steep. none the less you just get what you paid for.
Couple on July 2016
I went to boracay with my girlfriend on july 2016 for 5D4N. I really loved the place, it's something that I've been looking for. The hotel is situated inside an alley where there are about 4 or 5 budget hotels which are according to the receptionist are owned by a family. The best thing about this hotel is their place, as you walk through the alley, there are security guards 24 / 7 and as you go inside Madid's Inn, there are CCTV's mounted on each floor (maybe 3 cameras each floor). The place is clean and affordable. You get more than what you expect with such a cheap price (Don't forget to haggle for the price specially on low season and let them beat the price of their competition). The wifi connection is really fast as well ! All rooms are also airconditioned. In addition, the alley is beachfront so it means that the beach is just a minute of walk away or less ! DMall is abiut 3mins walk. Cons: Avoid the topmost floor because I think that water pressure is low up there. There is also no breakfast included or any cafeteria. Its just a basic hotel. (But there's an eatery in the beach front 30secs walk and a grocery store) Tip: I suggest the 2nd to the topmost floor for better water pressure and good connection speed because the wifi router is at the topmost floor. Enjoy your stay !
friendly user
the best and affordable!! ito muna ang masasabi ko.. mababait yong mga staff, crew and security guard.. dapat 3days and 2 nights lang kaming mag asawa nag extend pa kami ng isang araw.. kaya pagbabalik kami with the whole family dito kami ulit kami
A Value for your money
We stayed in Madid's for 4 days and 3 nights. The owner and Staff was very accommodating (you can even banter with them), the place is secured at night, rooms are spacious and kept clean, WIFI connection is fast and it's affordable. What more can you asked for in a place. They also offer tours however if you are very lucky, you will find Ate Sharon aka Ate Shawie (She's not part of Madid's bue she's always around). She's the best tour guide you can ask for. I'll leave it to that. :)
Value for money
we stayed here for 5 days. very courteous staff. owner is very accommodating. he even made a ramp for my mother's wheelchair. what a great gesture for his guests. will definitely stay at this resort again when we go back. we got the family room for only P2500 per night. spacious room, big beds. can accommodate even more than 5 persons.
Awesome!
Loved staying here! Staff were really friendly and you became part of the family. Close to everything, loved the a / c rooms, couldn't complain about anything. Security guard is there at night so its a safe place. Will definitely stay here again! :-)
Affordable yet Comfortable
Getting on the place with little knowledge of cheap accommodation facilities but closer to the beach and parties. A guide recommended this and we are glad to take his advice. Room is clean and spacious enough for us, the people are welcoming and just a few minutes walk from everything!
Super Affordable
Super affordable for an accommodation that is almost at the beach front. Our room is located at the top most floor (4th / F). We declined at first as we thought it's very tiring to get to and fro the ground and 4 / F. But the receptionist insisted us to just have a look of the room first. Good thing we did. The room is big, clean and the bathroom is clean as well. Everything is new as all rooms in the 4 / F are just newly opened for occupancy. We paid only P1, 500. A / C works well. Location is just near D' Mall. Staff are friendly. They talked to us as if we've known each other for long. One of their staff helped us to carry our luggage up to the Main road and hailed a tricycle for us going to the port. Can just complain for one thing, wifi at the moment wasn't accessible in the room or had very slow connection even in the ground floor. Other than that, everything is fine.
Friendly host!
1. The rooms are pretty big and its affordable 2. It's almost beach front 3. It's near DMall (where you can buy memorabilias and stuff from boracay / and find awesome dining places) 4. The staff are friendly and easy to approach.
Simple, Fuss-Free, Can Be Better
Madid's was recommended to us by a friend who frequently stays there. I have personally seen the rooms before our stay, and opted to book it since it was one of the cheapest around that still offers the usual creature comforts of a hot shower, cable TV, and airconditioning, while at the same time being close to the beach. What We Liked Best: 1. Hassle-free check-in and check-out. You can reserve by paying 1 night's worth of deposit a few weeks before your stay. Once in Boracay, take a trike to D'Mall area and just ask around. People know where it is. Once there, you just pay the remaining amount of your stay, and you're good to go. Come check-out time, it's the same deal, just leave your keys at the front desk, show the guard your receipt and you're done. 2. Basic creature comforts: Though the room is modest, you get most of what you need with what you pay for: hot and cold shower that doesn't fail, cable TV with all the basic movie channels, airconditioning unit, a fridge with ample storage space that I was tempted to actually buy stuff to put in it, and a veranda that's very useful for drying your wet swimsuits and towels. 3. Great location: Madid's is inside the " eskinitas " (side streets) surrounding D'Mall, in an area that's close to good food like Aria and True Food, great party like BomBom and Epic, and great deals like the Php350.00 buffet dinners. It doesn't have its own beach chairs by the shore, but really who needs much of that when you're there to swim. Being inside the side streets, you're protected from all the noise of the pubs and crowd once you're inside the building. Best of both worlds, so to speak. What We Liked Least: 1. Wifi is intermittent and slow. These days, it's kind of a deal breaker for me. Our room is at the second floor, where the wifi barely registers. If you're inside the room, you won't even get a signal. You'd have to be at the veranda. 2. Unmaintained rooms. The rooms are clean once you arrive, no doubt about it, so it's not a cleanliness issue. But looking around, you'd find signs here and there that says the building is due for renovation. There are cracks and other signs of wear and tear, and you can see that the management has tried to do something about them (e. g. nail a small piece of plywood to provide support to one part of the door that's been eaten by termites, small only, not a deal breaker). The keyhole of our room door requires several trials before the key gets in, and we do this everytime. There are no door knobs in and out of the room door, just a tiny hook you can put your finger on to pull the door close. 3. No generator on standby. During our stay, power was down 3x, once when we were walking home from dinner, and twice while we were sleeping on the first night. I didn't have a good night's rest on that first night because there was no back-up power. Though we didn't have airconditioning for only about 15 minutes each time, the humidity of the island is still enough to wake you up if you don't have ample ventilation. Overall Review: For a few hundred pesos more, you can actually book a room at Taj Guesthouse. They are right beside Madid's, is apparently newly renovated, and serves set breakfast. They also have a 1-hour welcome massage complementary according to their Facebook page. But if you're the no-fuss kind of traveler, who really just needs a place to clean yourself, sleep and leave your stuff behind, then Madid's is perfect.
