Nice pace; great information
We took this tour to get oriented for the rest of our stay and Giulia did a great job of it. Lots of history that is in the books, but much better to see and hear it in context. Nice coffee break at Volume Cafe. Giulia shared with us the Florentine point of view on the Medici's, the statues, the Romans, etc... She is native born.
Florence by Gondola
We decided to see Florence by Gondola, a bit different than walking or other forms of transport that are offered. What a good choice (once we had found the boats / office) Our guide was Giulia very pleasant, Knowledgable and she had a sense of humour which made the trip more enjoyable. The evening tour offers an 'aperitivo' which we decided on, very nice Just right for the start of the evening
Interesting aspect of Florence
Slightly different and informative approach to the different aspects of Florence city. Enjoyed the walk and information from Angela. Her knowledge of the political and architecture of Florence was a delight and we learned a lot in the 3 hours. Nice to have a small group for this tour and the gelato was a pleasant addition to the information. The magnet gift at the end of the tour was also a nice little touch. We also took up Angela's suggestion to revisit the church and climb the stairs for a lovely view of Florence. Appreciated as the day was Monday when museums and galleries were closed and we were leaving Florence early the next morning.
Walk and Talk Florence with Mario
Mario is a great tour guide. My brother and I were very lucky to receive a private walk and talk tour in Florence that day. We spent 2.5 hours learning not only about the history of such a lovely city but about the different styles of art. He also introduced us to the part of Florence that is not visited by tourists so we could explore the actual city traditions. He is very knowledgeable and answered all of al questions.
Very interesting
We had a great tourguide, Eliza. She had funny and interesting anecdotes about the history of the city. Ask for her when you book a tour! The tour lasts 2, 5 hour and takes you from the historical centre over the Arno, to the other side of the river. We enjoyed the walk and had a good time learning more about the city and its inhabitants.
Walk and talk tour with Mario
I was travelling with my mum and my sister and for our last day in Florence decided to take do a Walk and talk tour of the city on our last day. We organised this at the office on the morning of the tour which was great so deciding to do the tour at the last minute wasn't a problem at all. Mario Gesu was our guide and he was fantastic. He was so passionate about his city and was able to give us all the same feeling. In fact we could have gone for longer than the two and a half hours that we had. I would recommend this tour for anyone.
Fabulous Walking Tour w / Vanessa
This is the ONLY way to get the true feel of Florence. Vanessa was bright, well informed and a pleasure to be with. We took in all the important sites of Florence; welcoming the history behind this wonderul city. She told the facts in a way that made us want to know more and more about this cultural city. We would highly recommend this tour to all!! And, since it was only my husband and myself, we had a guest chef, Andre, who gave us incite to the foods available by recommending a small place for lunch, Borgoantico on the Piazza S. Spirito, pizza to die for. The atmosphere was JUST what we were looking for; a small; comfortable eatery. I am so grateful we chose this tour and extremely fortunate to have shared it with Vanessa and Andrea *******
Vanessa - A guide with excellent knowledge of the city's history
Our guide Vanessa was superb. She took us around the city and gave us such a wonderful insight of the history. It all seemed to come alive to us. She even took us for a coffee and refused to let us pay. She was polite, courteous, enthusiatic and so very knowledgeable which made our first visit to Florence a very memorable one. Certainly will use this company again on our next visit. The only problem with the city are the large number of beggars, which can be a little off putting. Rita & Richard - Nottingham England
Walk Florence.. the only way with Mario
We were very lucky to have the best tour guide in Florence walk around Florence with us.. Mario's knowledge and passion was wonderful. My wife is not able to move around quickly and we were rather concerned when the tour was intially booked but Mario adapted the tour to suit her abilities and our family enjoyed it immensley. Mario brought the history of Florence alive with his information within the churches, bridges, art and of course a tour is not complete without the local gelati and we were not dissappointed... The BEST tour and would have loved to do to more... we will be back!!

Only had time for the walking tour which was excellent value for money. Would have liked to do the bike tour as well.
Nice tour of Florence
If you are on a restricted budget and want to learn about Florence, this is the tour for you. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and could answer all of our questions. You do the main down town attractions.
