Great little campground Meadow Lake
This is a great campground. Power and nice sites. Well maintained. Great value. At $25 There is an easy circle walk all the way around to loosen you up after a day of travel. If it had water at the site I would have given it a 5.
Never Again!
While travelling from our home in Northern AB to Saskatoon, SK we stayed overnight at the Lions Club Campground in Meadow Lake, SK. It was (more or less) the halfway point in our trip and I wanted to keep the days short as my wife is ill. Long story short.. it sucked! The first thing I noticed upon driving into the campground was the smell. " Eau de cesspool " is not one of my favorites and having to smell the cesspool all night long just about made both my wife and I nuts! The second thing I noticed was the lack of upkeep. There was garbage everywhere and it looked like nobody ever cleaned the sites after campers left. I had to go around and pick up empty KFC containers and associated garbage (ie: chicken bones, etc) in my camp site because a garbage can had fallen over and spilled it out and then the wind blew it all over the pace. Worst of all, nobody bothered to clean it up! The sites were setup oddly and I had two choices in the site I picked, either park with my front door facing the road (not!) or pull my power cord under the trailer to the other side where the plugin was. The site wasn't very level either. All in all, unless you're desperate (we were and the next closest campground was close to an hour away and as I said, my wife is ill and was done travelling for the day by the time we arrived there) I wouldn't stop there willingly ever again. If you're planning a trip in the area you really want to avoid this campground!!!!
