Thompson Overnights
The front desk is friendly. Everett & Evelyn make the breakfast experience a pleasure. They truly care about the clientele and have incredible situational awareness when it comes to helping those who need a little more help. I can't express my gratitude enough.
Had resort vibes
I travel a lot for work and personal Probably one cleanest and well run hotels I stayed at. Definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The hot soup sure was a nice touch for a cold evening. The breakfast was really nice and was different every day. As a family we always use BW+
High deposit
They required a $500 deposit for 1 night. That is a little extreme especially since I had stayed in the past and only required a $200 which is still high. Room was clean. Went there to sleep for 6 hours before going back home and charged a $500 deposit. Gross
Could be better
The bed is big and the fan doesn't turn on in the bathroom. The staff kind of just sit around in the lobby. And the city doesn't plow the sidewalks there. Also there's always lots of drunk construction workers throughout the night slamming doors. Try and stay away from the second floor above the doors and any floor near the elevator
Excellent hotel and staff! My number choice when visiting Thompson, Manitoba
Employees at this hotel are it's biggest asset. The kitchen staff, Everette & Evelyn are supior by far. It's like being looked after by Grandma & Grandpa with such love & genuinity. Ram the front desk manager is absolutely amazing!! He is extremely helpful and goes out of his way to ensure his guests are well taken care of. The manager of that hotel, also does a fantastic job too. Kudos to the owner & staff of the Best Western, Thompson, Mb.!!
Would choose this hotel again!
We switched hotels for a third night in Thompson at the end of a hockey tournament. Everything was clean, breakfast was good and staff was friendly. It's less expensive than the super 8 and nicer with a better breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
Top notch services
The staff at the front desk specifically the morning / afternoon staff we top notch and would check each morning whether we needed anything further as we utilized their boardroom throughout most of the week we spent in Thompson. Even our guest commented on the room and the continous availability of various types of coffee! Pictures on the walls were a nice touch as well. Greatly appreciated the hot breakfast each morning as well as the soup and nachos each evening. Compliments to the chef and was happy to see her once again during our annual trips to Thompson. Top notch hotel and we try to stay there every year.
Northern comfort stay
enjoyed the hot breakfast, comfy bed to wind down the long day of travel visited the fitness center it was clean and equipped with towels and water cooler, check in was fast and pleasant and in the meeting room great selection of beverages hot and cold

Great place Friendly staff Very very clean Kitchenettes are perfect and very spacious with all of the amenities that you would need. Breakfast is great. The coffee machine is awesome and the staff is very friendly in the morning. I also love the gym and sauna.

Great two night stay!
Quiet, clean and good staff. Welcoming staff and lots of great information about the town. I had a suite with a kitchen that came fully equipped. Cleaning supplies included. Breakfast was good and filling. Even snack of soup and nachos was a good snack.
Fantastic and Accommodating!
Overall all stay was pleasant and very comfortable. All staff members were extremely pleasant and helpful. Hotel was quiet during the evenings so was able to work without the usual hallway interruptions. Would definitely rate the hotel and staff as a 10 / 10. Thank you!

What a lovely hotel. Very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Large rooms, great free hot breakfast, with good coffee. Even with check out at 11 we were invited to lounge around the restaurant or lobby until time to go catch out train.
Hotel at Thompson Mb - best western
Quiet hour is too early @ At 9:00 pm. They don't transfer incoming calls at 9:00 from your family or friends and you can't make locally or long distance calls from your room. The phones didn't work to call out and it's very inconvenient especially when you don't have a cell phone.
Up for work for 2 weeks
Pillows, Bedding was Great, very well Kept Room. Hot breakfasts with Great Nice Couple cooking. All the staff was exceptional, friendly and helped and answered any questions I had as well as helped set up the rewards system A+
Nice stopping place on our way to Churchill
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Impressed with the size and look of the room. Staff was pleasant and quick to answer your questions or help with suggestions. Breakfast was good, had a special of the day that can be served to you, eg. Onion omelet, farmer sausage, lattice fries. Would stay there again however would ask for a room away from the elevators, as you could clearly hear the elevator bell and people chatting. The beds were comfortable but the elevator sounds woke me up.

Would definitely suggest staying the night or longer ! Comfortable beds great selection of sleeping pillows, VERY good breakfast service, covers all your basic amenities needs, fitness area and laundry facilities
Very good service
Great place to stay. The staff was very helpful with anything we required. We did have a problem with noise but it was quickly corrected. If you are looking for bang for your buck this is the place to stay while in Thompson
A Beautiful Best Western!
We stayed one wonderful night with a Natural Habitat Tour on our way to Churchill. Many thanks to the Management and support staff for making our stay an exceptionally pleasant one. Our room was so very clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Our deliciously nutritious breakfast was served in a lovely room. Thank goodness for the laundry room! Loved the apples!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to our next visit!
Clean, comfortable and well situated
The room was clean, as were the sheets and towels. I found the bed very comfortable. All the room amenities worked and the people very pleasant and helpful. The hotel location was central to the airport and town.
Great hotel
I regularly travel to Thompson and stay in different hotels when I go. This hotel is my favorite. The beds are absolutely perfect - slept like a baby for a whole week. All the staff are super helpful and friendly. The hotel and rooms are clean and the shower was great. The coffee in the breakfast room was disgusting, but that's my only criticism. Will definitely stay again.
Best place to stay in Thompson
Very nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms are excellent. The only place to stay in Thompson. Very close to the grocery store (Starbucks) and Tim Hortons. Nice view of the park to the East of the hotel.
Thompson MB Best Western
The hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Restaurants were in walking distance and breakfast was good. Felt safe and parking was free, as was WIFI. Would recommend this to all travelers. Would have liked a pool. The staff was helpful and accomodating.

Had an excellent stay at best western, Thompson Manitoba. staff were nice and helpful. everything i need was attended. great service. sauna and fitness center was awesome. their breakfast was great plus their manager special too.

Nice, newer hotel. Friendly staff
Stayed here as part of a conference we were attending in Thompson. Lovely new hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good rate for our block of rooms for the conference. Breakfast was also very good, with a number of hot options as well as standard continental fare. Quiet, clean and a nice relaxing place to come home to at the end of a busy couple of days!
New and nice - enjoyable stay
The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms big enough for our needs, the bathroom enjoyable - but of course a house of that age can't provide a character. But - no real need for it. The price was good - I'd stay there again, if I will ever be back to Thompson. The hotel is not far -even on foot - from a Mall and some shops, though I doubt that it is downtown Thompson...
best western, the best accommodations in Thompson
First and foremost i found this property very clean. The staff at the front desk is very professional and efficient. The actual upkeep and cleanliness of this hotel was very impressive, and it is a true reflection of the staff. I stayed at another place in Thompson but there was no comparison. Everything in the room worked great, the bathroom had a newer style shower which drains better, the wifi, the toilet flushed properly, and the tv came in clear. I also liked the fact that the ac unit was brand new and digital, so very easy to use and it worked great. The room was bright and had a very fresh feel to it. The breakfast has a lot of choices and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great too, across from the mall, and the parking lot is void of any overnight loiterers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thompson.
Fantastic Hotel
Clean, friendly, staff is fantastic and make you feel right at home. The beds are so comfortable, you don't want to get up in the morning. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and very clean. Free continental breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended. It is in a good location to walk to nearby shopping and grocery stores. Will most definitely stay at this hotel again.
Great Staff and Hotel
I recently went with my teenager to visit family over Christmas. From the moment we got to the hotel, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Each staff member that we came across said hello and asked if there was anything we needed. The hotel room was a standard room with queen sized beds. I just want to say the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in in a long time! The rooms and the bathroom were very clean and the towels were plentiful. Although I'm a nighttime bath person, the bathroom was a walk-in shower rather than a tub. I didn't want to be a bother to ask to change rooms but I am confident that if it was a request, they would have made it a priority. We were so busy with family anyway and were not getting back early enough. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going up to Thompson.
Comfortable Stay During a Business Trip to the North
The hotel is located very conveniently in Downtown Thompson. Relatively a new facility the rooms and the amenities ae quite good including the free breakfast buffet. I enjoyed my stay and will certainly book this property in the future.

In a city with very limited options, this is a welcome home away from home. Rooms are on the small size, but good enough for a short stay. Updated furniture and clean room. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, even though they can't quite give directions to a couple of the largest employers in the city! Good restaurants are also very limited, but they have a surprisingly good amount of your McDonald's. Pizza hut, Subways, etc. Overall, I would stay here again on my next trip!
Really nice
We recently stayed for a week and then even came back for another stay. It is just a wonderful hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The beds are the best part. Awesome and comfortable. The rooms are very well appointed. The breakfast is very tasty and well stocked every day. Certainly enjoyed the variety. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic Hotel
Newly built hotel. Very clean. Food area is spacious and the food offered with the free breakfast is top quality and delicious. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful & courteous. Rooms are spacious, clean and very attractive. We visit Thompson once a year for business and will continue to stay at this hotel. Superb location.
Clean, friendly, and roomy
The beds were duvet covered with the best pillows I have ever had in a hotel. Super clean. Large rooms with big bathroom. In room safe, Fridge and microwave and coffee maker in room. Free breakfast with bacon, pancakes, fresh fruit and much more. One of the best hotel stays I have ever had any where!
Great Breakfast, Good ammenities, odd location, reservation problem
Fantastic breakfast is on par with the newer Best Westerns I've stayed at. Rooms were nice. Everything is new. The LodgeNet TV service is somewhat annoying, its slow and the remotes aren't great. Would rather just have a regular cable connection. There was a problem when trying to modify my reservation. I had 2 weeks straight booked, I informed the front desk that I would be leaving for the weekend and will return Monday, so please cancel my Friday, Saturday and Sunday night bookings. They said that would be fine. I showed up the next Monday and my reservation for the week was gone. Luckily they were able to fit me in another room but could have turned out badly if the hotel was booked up for one reason or another. The location of the hotel is sort of odd. It's placed right in the middle of a low-rise apartment complex. So as a result there is lots of foot traffic through the parking lot. Although, the location is good as it is kitty corner to Wal-Mart and the Mall. Will stay again.
Great choice for business stay
Second time staying in this new, BW property. Very clean and bright, with friendly, helpful staff. Located close to everything, including the hospital. Each time, I was upgraded to a King Suite in recognition of my Elite status with their Rewards program. Highly recommend.
Clean & Great Breakfast
I recently stayed at this hotel with my two young kids. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I had an infant with me and requested a crib, they brought it up right away and free of charge. The breakfast at this hotel is amazing, especially for a free breakfast. There is a wide selection and the eggs are the best I've had in a very long time!! While I was eating breakfast with my kids, my infant was crying - one of the hotel staff came over and asked if she could hold the baby for me while I finished my breakfast. I thought it was very kind and thoughtful, especially since I was flustered trying to feed a toddler, eat my breakfast and try to keep the baby happy! The rooms are spotless, you wouldn't know that the hotel had been in operation for over a year yet - it looks like it just opened. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and anything else you may need - definitely the perfect location also.
Great value, best in town
We have stated here as a family on several occasions. The staff is always helpful and curitious. We feel welcome and safe. They offer a delicious breakfast and are close enough to the heart of the city to go shopping, but far enough out to not be bothered by noise all night
Great addition to Thompson
Stayed here for business and had a great experience. The front lobby was clean and well maintained. I think the only problem was the front doors, but they weren't working well for anybody. The front desk staff was courteous and very helpful and went a little beyond expectations to make me and my business associates feel welcome. Kudo's to them. The breakfast area was great and had plenty of decent options. I didn't get to try the gym or the sauna, but the rooms looked clean and well kept. The room I was given was a handicap room, which didn't really bother me, but all the same I would have preferred a regular room. Overall the room was clean and and the bed was comfortable. A little too gray for me, but not bad overall. I usually stay at the Days Inn, but it was full at the time and this was a very pleasant surprise. I would definitely stay here again.
Fresh & New
A new hotel in Thompson, this hotel is tastefully decorated both in the public areas and in the rooms. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean (even putting the remote control in a sanitized bag). The beds are comfortable, the room size is just right, and the washrooms are a good size with large walk in showers. There is free wifi as well as a good selection of breakfast items (from cereals, toast, fruits to pancakes and boiled eggs & bacon and tea / coffee / juices / milk) which is included in the room charge. There is no restaurant at the hotel and it's a bit of a walk to the nearest restaurants, especially in the winter. Cab to the shopping centre / boston pizza or tim horton's is about $6-7. I had meetings located right at the hotel so staying here made it very convenient.
Awesome: New hotel, friendly staff, awesome breakfast
Super-new Possibly the best breakfast I've had at a hotel, ever. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There was a kids' hockey team at the hotel while I was there, and the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone got a breakfast they could eat (allergies). The breakfast area has tea and coffee all day, so my coworker and I actually came back to the hotel to eat our lunch. A nice perk if you are working in town. Rooms are comfortable. Showers can go very HOT, which can be nice when it is -26 outside! If you prefer / require a bathtub, be sure to specify as the hotel has a number of room with accessible showers. The in-room internet was a bit slow at times. The fitness room is decent, maybe a bit over air-conditioned. I did not try the sauna, but it appeared clean.
New, Clean, Friendly
I have stayed at many of the Thompson hotels, and this one is my favorite. There seems to be alot of bad attitudes in the service industry in Thompson; BUT NOT AT THIS HOTEL. I have found the staff to be extremely friendly and very helpful. Comfortable beds, great showers, large TVs...... The quality of the complimentary breakfast could be improved upon though. The eggs are usually dried out, the sausage is poor, and the pancake machine was broken. I still return on a regular basis despite the breakfast. Overall, great place.
Fabulous
Obviously, the newness of this hotel contributes to its allure. However, the stay was fantastic. New rooms, well out-fitted. The breakfast provided is almost a full buffet compared to a continental. Hotel was clean, quiet and much appreciated.
New excellent quality weird design quirk
Didn't expect much in a small city best western. The place is so new it smells new. Very comfortable beds, excellent free wifi, breakfast included but only starts at 6 am. With calm air flying out at 7 the breakfast starts too late. The design quirk is the bathtubless doorless shower. There is a small lip and just a curtain which does nothing to stop water flooding the bathroom. I thought maybe it was an accessible room but my traveling companions reported the same issue. Stupid design. Room was immaculate and well thought out beyond that quirk.
Beautiful New Hotel
I had the privilege of Staying long term in a one Bedroom suite for work. The hotel is new and the rooms are beautiful. Had high end appliances and everything worked. The bed was very comfortable and had perfect pillows. The Staff were always friendly and considered me family by the end of my stay. The breakfast was a full hot breakfast and had good chooses. The pancake machine was really easy to use and made great pancakes. The protein choices were also of high quality for a free breakfast. The level of quality of this hotel is comparable to high end hotels down south. The fitness facility had high quality equipment and built in TVs. Would recommend the hotel to anyone for short term and long term stay.
Book here and you will not regret it !!
I visited Thompson with a few co-workers on business June 6-8 and was pleasantly surprised with both the hotel and staff. We also rented out the conference room for a presentation for the day. Everything went off without a hitch and was prepared beyond our expectations. Big thank you to Ethel who organized the hotel stay and conference room. She was very pleasant to deal with as well as other staff. You can tell the staff is customer service orientated as they are always smiling and pleased to help you with anything. The hotel offers a free continental breakfast with all the amenities. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I am in Thompson. This hotel is the jewel of the north.
Above expectations!
I am a local Photographer in Thompson, MB and was looking for a beautiful suite to host a full day photo shoot for 10 clients. I went to visit the Best Western the day they opened in Thompson and was immediately impressed when I walked in the front door. The decor was very modern, clean and welcoming. The front desk staff greeted me right away with a smile and were more than willing to answer all of my questions. I was even more impressed when the hotel owner came out to meet me and took the time to give me a tour of the hotel so I could compare the suites and ensure it was exactly what I was looking for. The layout, design, colour, decor and lighting was just amazing... so much more than I wanted for my shoot!!! I was also told my clients were more than welcomed to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast on the morning of the shoot as well as coffee and juice during the day. It was very important that my clients were treated well during the day and I was more than comfortable booking with the Best Western after the treatment they gave me on the day I booked. My photo shoot was held yesterday and just as I expected, the experience was above my expectations!!! My husband and I were treated like royalty as were all 10 of my clients, Hairstylist and Make-up Artist. The staff were accommodating to all of our needs and did not hesitate to help us with anything we required during the day. The room was fresh, clean and well stocked just as I wanted as well. As each of my clients arrived they commented on how friendly the front desk staff were and how beautiful the hotel was designed. This seemed to put everyone in a great mood and set the tone for the day. Thanks to the Best Western, my marathon shoot day was a huge success and I will most certainly be returning for my next one. After such an amazing day, my husband and I decided to spend the night at the hotel. We had a very quiet and comfortable sleep. The beds and pillows were just what we needed after a long day. In the morning we tried the complimentary breakfast... WOW! We have stayed in many hotels all over Canada, the USA and other All Inclusive resorts and this was by far over the top for a complimentary breakfast. There were so many choices, including eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast, muffins, yoghurt, cereal, oatmeal, juice coffee and more. You have my recommendation 100% !!!
