Wonderful Stay!
Stayed here for just one night. From the moment I walked in, after admiring the beautiful view from the yard, I knew we had made the right choice. We were greeted by the owner and she was so warm and friendly She suggested a great place for dinner. Our room was fabulous with one of the most comfortable beds on our trip. The view from our balcony was perfect and breakfast was delicious. I can without hesitation recommend that you stay here.
Visiting Peggy's Cove? - Stay Here!
Staying here was one of the highlights of our Nova Scotia trip! Very comfortable room with a perfect view of Peggy's Cove. Easy walking distance all around the Cove and to the lighthouse. Excellent hosts & service. One of the best breakfasts we've ever had at a B & B. Be sure to stay in one of the 2 upstairs rooms in the main building facing the Cove. My wife & I are Travel Advisors and we are VERY particular! Stay here!
Great view of the harbor and, ocean and lighthouse
Finding the Peggy's Cove B and B was pure luck. Online resources kept skipping it but wanting to stay in a great B and B we persisted. It is located on a slope oposite the lighthouse and overlooking the harbor and waterfront. Peggy's Cove is a tourist destination with dozens of bus tours stopping there throughout the day. This newer home is located in the perfect place and we were pleased to find our room had a deck from which we could see the village and it's incredible scenery. The only downside is the phone and power lines that crib cross the village. Our hosts are apparently selling the B and B so hopefully the next owners will continue the excellent management we experienced. Breakfast in the sun room was great and as different as we have found in our travels in Canada. Always a joy to braek out of the ordinary. Can't speak highly enough of our visit there.

A Gem of a B & B
Five stars across the board for this wonderful B & B. We only spent one night here, wish we could have stayed longer. The location right in the heart of Peggy's Cove and the spectacular views of the famous lighthouse and rocks are just spectacular. Separate from the views, the B & B itself is very nice. Our room was very clean, everything worked as it should and the owners were warm and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Fabulous Bed and Breakfast Nova Scotia Peggy's Cove
This is a most beautiful location for a bed and breakfast! Our room was lovely in a superbly decorated house. Delicious breakfast for 10 people! It was a breakfast. Party, most cheerful. Tracey and Mark were great hosts. Super stay, thank you!
Charming B & B in a great location
With a view facing the picturesque lighthouse and fishing village, this charming bed and breakfast has comfortable well appointed rooms (some with balconies facing the cove) and gracious hosts. Breakfast was delicious and served in the bright sunroom. Coffee and tea was available at all times. Good dining was just a short drive away.
Highly recommended
We spent two nights here in early August and could not have been more satisfied with the accommodation and breakfasts. Tracey and Mark were excellent hosts. We had a room overlooking the cove and the lighthouse. It was large, comfortable and airy and having a drink on the verandah was a bonus. Recommended highly.
Amazing place to stay in Peggys Cove
Clean, beautifully decorated, amazing views. Such a nice spot to stay for the night. View from balcony was fantastic, overlooked the bay and lighthouse. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. We left with full stomachs. Would highly recommend.
Excellent 5* B and B
There is not a lot to say this is the perfect place to stay, quiet, outstanding views, excellent decks to sit out on, food was very good, cleanliness not a spec of dust in sight, we had the two en-suite rooms on the first floor with a shared lounge, fridge freezer coffee tea the works, cannot be faulted, lovely owners, well done from Terry and Heather, England. Perfect Nova Scotia experience
The Peggy's Cove Bed and Breakfast was absolutely beautiful. The room and accommodations were immaculate, newly renovated and super tasteful and comfortable. The icing on the cake was my balcony with two big chairs and an amazing close view of the iconic lighthouse, cove with fishing boats and the Atlantic. The sky was another beautiful sunset view as well. In the morning the breakfast served was so gorgeous and delicious. About 7 of us sat at a breakfast bar looking at the breathtaking view. I had gorgeous weather but even had it been foggy or rain the beauty of this rugged landscape moves me. I loved my stay and was so impressed with this accommodation. The price was also very good.
Wonderful hosts make this B & B special!
We stayed in Peggy's Cove B & B in July at the recommendation of the Info Centre. We were promised a wonderful experience and that is what we had. The hosts Tracy & Mark were warm and welcoming. We shared dog stories, travel stories etc. The room we had on the main floor was very pretty with an extremely comfortable bed, ensuite bath and a patio with a beautiful view of the ocean (right outside our room). With drinks in hand we watched the sunset that evening as the accompanying pictures will attest to. Breakfast the next morning was superb - fresh fruit, yogurt, English muffins, omelette bites with sausage, juice, coffee and tea. The day before Tracy asked about any dietary considerations and took that into consideration on an individual basis the next day. All in all, it was a great place to stay in Peggy's Cove and I would highly recommend it. You couldn't ask for a more inviting place to spend a night or more welcoming hosts than Mark & Tracy.
Best Place in Peggy's Cove
This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Peggy's Cove. We had a fantastic view of the harbor from our bedroom. Mark was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. If we ever visit again this is where we will stay. I highly recommend this B & B. You are in walking distance to the lighthouse and the scenery is beautiful.
Perfect Location
Peggy's Cove is a magical place, every bit as beautiful as the postcards and tour books suggest. And Peggy's Cove Bed & Breakfast is the perfect spot to stay. Amazing location, views, rooms, breakfast and hospitality. Very clean and comfortable. Could not have been better.
Down home stay
Eileen is a warm and friendly person. She is very knowledgeable all the hiking trails and attractions on Fogo Island. She will make a wonderful breakfast. Our room was comfortable and clean. It s a great location when staying in Fogo Island.

The location of Peggy's Cove B & B is absolutely divine! It is right on the waters edge and just a short walk to the famous Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. Mark was a wonderful host and his wife whipped up a delicious breakfast to start our day.

A perfect location for Peggy's Cove. Mark was a super host from check in, to supper recomendations, to delicious breakfast.. a big thank you. The room is clean and a very comfy bed. The view from the deck was amazing. You could walk to the Lighthouse or drive up in 2 minutes. The building is very nicely decorated and welcoming. Loved our stay.
Great place to stay
Beautiful, clean and great location. The owners were friendly and made you feel like you were in their own home. Breakfast was delicious! Meeting the others guests was great and gave great tips for the rest of our trip.

Fantastic B & B
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay here. The owner was fantastic and very helpful. He even packed us a breakfast when we had to leave too early for the sit down one. The room was great and the view was extraordinary. P. S. Your room key is in the mail. Sorry about that!!!
Wonderful hospitality in a fabulous location
Peggy's Cove B & B was in the perfect location for me, as I wanted to be able to visit the lighthouse at sunset / sunrise without the crowds. Mark was a wonderful host, and made me feel so welcome and at home. He kindly booked a table for me at a fantastic local restaurant, and cooked the best breakfast I've had all trip!
The only way to really see Peggy's Cove
We stayed at the Peggy's Cove B & B on the last night of our tour of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and it was an amazing decision! The owners were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were beautiful with fantastic views of the cove. Sitting on the balcony watching the crowds and waiting for them to leave, with a glass of wine, was thoroughly enjoyable and I could have sat there for hours! Breakfast was delicious and it was great to chat to some other travellers. To see the lighthouse properly (without the crowds!) you really have to be there early or late so booking here for a night is a great idea. We loved our visit.
Nova Scotia road trip
This was our fifth B & B and another gem. The difference between Hotels and B & B's is the genuine warmth and friendliness you get from the owners. Mark is an up front really sociable guy. His local knowledge helped us decide what to see and where to go.
Beautiful place
I stayed at this B & B on July 14. Mark the owner could not be more friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable I really did not want to leave. The pitches does not do this place justice. Mark went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Stayed in the cottage and had everything we were looking for. Breakfast was delirious. The place is well decorated and the view is amazing. I would love to go back and stay in the B & B and sit on that deck for a afternoon. I will be back Mark. I recommend this B & B in fact it is the best one I have ever stayed in. It is almost like you are family. Thanks for everything.
Cozy and well located!
We recently spent the night here in the little yellow cottage. The experience was A+ all the way around! Bed was so cozy!Views were stunning! Breakfast was delicious! You can see Peggy's Cove Lighthouse from here. Absolutely fabulous location! HIGHLY recommended!
Gem at Peggy's Cove
Stunning spot. Beautiful scenery and the home is decorated to a " T ". Beds and linens were top notch too. Do yourself a favour and stay for more than one night. The hosts were very friendly. Everywhere you look is postcard perfect picture.
Best views and stay in Nova Scotia!
Room was comfortable and well decorated and the views from the inn were spectacular Mark was very friendly and personable. The breakfast was really good and it was nice to meet and eat with all the other guests staying at the inn. One point of feedback is that the curtains did not block out all of the light / sunshine
Best location in one of the easiest to get to beautiful spots in Canada bar none
Best view in the cove, sunny, bright, modern tasteful seaside decor, everything inside is new and comfortable. The expedienced professional owners, Mark and Tracy have thought of every detail, even the friendly dog Gunner. As a yacht captain I have traveled the world and next time I'm in the middle of the ocean on a rough passage this is where I'll be wishing I was. Snuggled in a comfortable bed watching dawn break on the departing lobster boats from this hidden gem like cove.
Super friendly and comfortable
We had room # 1 with a balcony looking out over all there is to see of Peggy's Cove, including the cove and the lighthouse. The weather was horrible but that was part of the experience! Peggy's Cove is a special place and this B & B was wonderful. Mark was very kind and accommodating and makes a great breakfast. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was bright and clean and the towels were soft. The communal sitting room was nice to relax in. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we visited Peggy's Cove again. Highly recommended.
Best Location
Now this isn't the best of all possible B & B's. The house and the rooms are small. There is an adequate second floor sitting room and somewhat odd counter seating for breakfast. But the location is terrific, right on Peggy's Cove, and the rooms have balconies overlooking the cove. Best part - you're there and you can see the village and the lighthouse before the buses start rolling in around 10:00.
Would love to go back
What is not to love about this place? Cutest setting ever, friendly and helpful hosts, delicous breakfast, cosy and comfortable rooms. Do yourself a favor and stay here, if you at all can. It has the added benefit of putting you in charming Peggys Cove in the Morning and evening (for sunsets) with no crowds, before the tour buses arrive. Eat at Rhubarb for a great meal.
Wonderful Room and View
My sister and I booked two rooms for one night. Both rooms had a queen bed, bathroom with shower or tub / shower combination, and a deck overlooking the lighthouse or cove. I cannot say enough about the deck and views. Beautiful location for sunsets. Great for star gazing. Keurig coffeemaker just outside the room, so early risers can grab coffee and enjoy coffee on the deck before breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. Would love to stay here again.
Delightful!
The Inn is in a spectacular setting at Peggy's Cove! It has recently been renovated. The rooms are lovely as well as comfortable. Our room overlooked the Cove and had a balcony to sit and enjoy the beauty of the area. The common sitting room upstairs had a small refrigerator, coffee maker and was equipped with utensils, cups, glasses, etc. for snacks or drinks. Mark and Tracey were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was served was gourmet. This Inn was the grand finale of our trip!
Can't say enough good things about Mark and Tracey's B & B
We stayed 1 night in room # 2 and 3 nights in the cottage and had a fantastic experience in both! Mark & Tracey have poured their heart and soul into their new adventure since buying the B & B less than a year ago. They have updated the property through renovations and decorating. From top to bottom they have transformed this into a beautiful, high standard B & B including new furniture, mattresses, bedding and decor. Their breakfasts were filling and nutritional with coffee, juice, yogurt, homemade muffins, fruit and a different hot entree each day. They are attentive to their guests and cannot do enough to assist, from providing ice in your room and recommendations and directions for activities and dining out. The views from the room balconies were magnificent, overlooking Peggy's Cove and the lighthouse and to top it off - complete viewing of sunrises and sunsets, which I've never seen so beautiful. We spent 2 weeks in PEI, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and I never slept better during my trip as I did at this B & B. Thank you Mark and Tracey, for making our stay so memorable and as fellow Ontarians, we are so proud of what you have both accomplished is such a short time in your move and new endeavour. 4 days and nights of a little big of heaven
Tracey and Mark have got this right. Of course the setting is unparalleled, a view to take your breath away. In addition the hosts worked so hard to make our stay perfect. The rooms are well furnished, well decorated and most comfortable. The breakfasts were as good as we have ever had in a b and b something different and home made each day - delicious Peggys cove itself is a very popular place so you have to get used to many coach loads of tourists stopping off, however early morning and later in the day the place is idyllic. Most enjoyable were the great conversations (and glasses of wine) shared with other guests and Tracey and Mark - all in all we had the best kind of stay. Book very early they are virtually always full - understandably!
Great B & B
Mark and Tracey run a fantastic B & B. We only got a room due to a cancellation and it is easy to understand why it is hard to get a room. Location is perfect. Close enough to walk to the lighthouse but far enough away not to be in the hustle of the bus traffic. Every part of the property is spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was all that you could want and delicious. You won't be disappointed
Awesome stay, Cool Landscape
We were on a motorcycle trip and we decided to book at Peggy's Cove Bed & Breakfast. What a beautiful surprise. We stayed in the Cabin for one night and it was so beautiful at peggy's cove that we decided to stay a second night. The cabin was impeccably clean and well stocked with water, coffee (keurig coffee maker with a good stock of coffee and milk and cream.) it has a little fridge and a microwave oven. The breakfast was great with unlimited coffee and juice. Oh and the Hosts were awesome. This is a must stay if you are going to Nova Scotia. I heartily recommend this B & B
Nice place, nice owners
If you want Peggy's Cove, this is it. We enjoyed our stay, great place to sip wine and watch the cove. Mark is very helpful and knows the area. They actively try to " go the second mile " and went out of their way to help after the Air Canada lost my luggage.
Amazing!
There is just not enough praise for this bed and breakfast! The hosts are warm and welcoming. The breakfast is gourmet quality. The room was perfect! And to top it off, the view is incredible! If you are going to Nova Scotia, book some time at Peggy's cove b & b. You will be richer for the experience!
Really Comfortable & Nice Folks
... we stayed there for one night and loved the room, and atmosphere. The lovely couple running the place were really nice and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was great, the views magnificent and we highly recommend this as a place to stay.
We loved our stay!!
Tracy and Mark were wonderful!! They were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The spot is soooo very beautiful!! We both felt sad to leave! It was a great location from which to discover Nova Scotia. It is an easy walk into town, the restaurants and the lighthouse. We recommend The Rubarb House for dinner. A bit spendy but a wonderful meal. We had the room 2 with the bathroom across the sitting room. It was a private bathroom and the view from our balcony was spectacular!! 3 days was not long enough! They do have a small cottage on the property for families.
Experience of a lifetime!
The ambiance of Peggy's Cove, as beautiful as it is, was enhanced by the comfort and experience of staying at Mark and Tracy's B & B. The rooms are quaint and have been updated so that they are modern without losing the charm of Peggy's Cove. The Cove itself is a short drive from the airport in Halifax, and although it is popular with tourists, it was not overwhelmingly busy. We were lucky to have witnessed the Cove glistening in the afternoon sun, and were awe-struck when clouds of fog rolled in within a short period of time in the evening - they still could not steal the beauty. The beds were comfortable, the rooms bright, cheerful, and clean. There was a good amount of space both in the rooms and in the common areas of each floor. Breakfast was a great experience - the coffee was delicious, the service and food similar to what you would encounter at a restaurant. Mark and Tracy are very obviously passionate about running a bed and breakfast, and committed to providing their guests with an experience that will leave them as enamoured with the cove as the hosts are. Our personal favourite memory was staying up to chat with Mark and Tracy as they unwound after a long day's work. They took the time to give us a brief history of the B & B. Mark is very helpful and extremely willing to help with directions; Tracy should be an interior designer, given her gift of making a place to stay feel like home away from home. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to the East Coast. This was by far well beyond the routine bed and breakfast experience!
Comfortable and peaceful
We stayed in the cottage at Peggy's Cove B & B for two nights. It was so quiet and peaceful at night. We enjoyed walking down to the cove early in the morning ahead of the crowds of tourists. Breakfast was wonderful. Tracey and Mark were great hosts. Peggy's Cove was conveniently located for a trip to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay.
Uncomfortable Lodgings
The cabin bed was quite uncomfortable and there was very little water pressure. The breakfast was good in the morning. It may have been better if we stayed in the main house. The cabin cost a bit more and had a very small deck with an obstructed view.

B & B over looks the cove. Walking distances for most there is to see. Only disappoint in lodging was poor water pressure. Hosts friendly & yummy breakfast. Wish we had more time to stay, lots to do, rocks to climb etc
Perfectly wonderful
Stayed at this fantastic b & b for just one night, wish it was more. Friendly welcome, we came in really late and Mark was sitting up waiting on us. Couldn't have been nicer. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfy, the bedding was so soft. Lovely bathroom. The coffee maker was outside the room on the landing, but it was worth those extra couple of steps. Breakfast was great, tea in a proper China teapot. Fresh fruit, yogurt and home made muffin, followed by fresh pancakes and crispy bacon and don't forget the maple syrup. Wonderful hosts, will deffo go back if we find our way to Nova Scotia again. Thanks Mark & Tracey.
Perfection
We wanted to stay in Peggy's Cove and see the iconic lighthouse at sunset and sunrise without the crowds.. and we found the absolutely perfect place to do so. Peggy's Cove B & B is heaven. It is situated ideally. It's a 5 minute walk to the lighthouse (or maybe 15 or 20 if you keep stopping to take photos as we did!! We had 2 rooms.. with adjoining balconies.. that looked over the little town and to the lighthouse. The whole place is immaculate. The beds are very comfortable, and we had private bathrooms and a lovely little sitting room. The latter is generously equipped with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. After staying in a few hotels on this trip where the norm has been disposable plates and bowls and inadequate plastic cutlery it was lovely to drink out of real cups and glasses. Breakfast was a real treat.. beautifully cooked and presented, and in a setting that allowed us to gaze out at the town, that lighthouse and the ocean. Tracy and Mark (and Gunner) are the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome and so at home. We will probably not get a chance to go back to Peggy's Cove but we know where we'd stay if we do. Do yourself a favour and do the same
Home from Home
My wife and myself were delighted with our recent stay with Tracey and Mark at their beautiful B & B overlooking the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove. Our room, which had a fine view of the harbour and lighthouse, was extremely comfortable and well appointed with he best bed we had slept in during our 3 week tour of Nova Scotia. The breakfast was excellent, in particular, the fruit cup served in advance the hot dish, which set us up for the day. We also enjoyed the set up and location of the breakfast room which gave great opportunities to chat with fellow guests. Both Tracey and Mark are excellent hosts who provide very useful information on the local area and really go the extra mile to make guests feel at home.
Like I was staying with my best friends
Thelse are new owners with a lifetime of hospitality experience.. this is evident in the way I was greeted, to my room and the amazing attention to detail and then the common area and the interior decorated comfort... don't get me started on the breakfast. When we thought it was over, a whole new food experience was presented... my mom and I felt like Queens and slept like royalty, too, on brand new heavenly beds. If you aren't sure, BOOK THIS PLACE! Heaven on Earth
Everything from the service to the view was absolutely lovely. The breakfast was divine. The owners are so kind and hospitable, would definitely recommend if you're in the Peggy's Cove area; you have a beautiful view from the upstairs porch, and you can walk to the lighthouse. 10 / 10!
Perfect in every way
This B & B was a perfect spot to get over jet lag on our way home from UK. Exactly as advertised, a view looking out over the cove to the lighthouse. We chose a room on the main floor with en suite and a lovely patio with colorful chairs to sit and enjoy our morning coffee, or afternoon wine. Bed was super comfy everything spotlessly clean. We were greeted by Mark and Tracey and felt instantly at home. We own a B & B in British Columbia and so we had lots in common to talk about and share. Breakfast was delightful and very tasty, with lots of delicious coffee. Also coffee and tea is available all day. If you're going to Peggy's Cove, you must stay here. We will be back on our next trip to Nova Scotia.
Location, Location, Location
We stayed here on May 5 / 17 for one night to see this very scenic spot in Nova Scotia. The B & B is tucked away in the middle of this small fishing village near the church and is operated by Tracey and Mark Hall. This is their first year of operation having acquired it in late 2016. It is apparent that they freshened up the place by painting, decorating and replacing beds etc. Should mention the bed was VERY comfortable for a great night's sleep. Our room had a fantastic view over part of the village, Cove, lighthouse and ocean. Both Tracey and Mark make you really welcome. They recommended restaurants, and made an evening reservation for us. Nothing is too much trouble for this couple. You also get to enjoy a wonderful breakfast. Sadly we could only stay one night as we were in Nova Scotia for a graduation that weekend. P. S. They also have a cottage on the property that is available.

Right dab in the middle of everything... So beautiful the views are spectacular and the owners Mark and Tracey are just like family.. They treat you with extra care and very thoughtful.. Extremely clean and well laid out... I would recommend this inn for anyone wanting that extra added touch of down home hospitality...
Hospitality Plus!
My girlfriend and I called to say we would be arriving well past check in time. In fact we didn't arrive until close to 10pm and both Mark and Tracey were their to greet us with a smile. If that wasn't above and beyond enough we said we would be up early to be on our way.. well before they served breakfast to guests, and again they accommodated us by getting up early to prepare us breakfast. The breakfast was outstanding as was the room. My only regret is that we didn't allow more time to enjoy more of what this beautiful B & B had to offer like our deck that overlooked Peggy's Cove.
Cozy, quiet with pleasant hosts in a great location
Most people don't stay right in Peggy's Cove and they are missing out. Great location to explore this part of the Maritimes and this B & B is the perfect place to call home while you do. Gracious and accommodating hosts, large rooms and places in and around the property to relax. Recommended for sure.
a diamond in the rough
When we turned the corner on Church Road, we didn't expect to find this wonderful B & B as we drove between two buildings. Dan greeted us with a smile, showed us to our room with a large porch and view of the lighthouse. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. There is a guest lounge with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Peggy's Cove is actually a quite barren, rocky coast with not much to do except relax.
A Hidden Gem!
My husband and I stayed two nights at Peggy's Cove B & B and it was the highlight of our trip to PEI and NS. Dan, one of the innkeepers, greeted us with such wonderful hospitality, we felt instantly at home! Our room had a marvelous view of the lighthouse and cove from our bedroom deck. Dan and Sharon served wonderful breakfasts! If you want the true flavor of NS, give this B & B a nod. You will be so glad you did!!

My boyfriend and I spent a night here on our roadtrip out east. It was SUCH a welcome change from camping, we absolutely loved it. The hosts, Dan and Sharon, were so kind and helpful. They made us feel at home immediately. The view was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend staying here as long as possible when visiting the quaint and beautiful Peggy's Cove.
Charming Hospitality!
We stayed one night at the B & B. Our room was on the side, but we could still see the cove from our balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could use a little updating, but everything worked just fine. Dan was very helpful and made reservations for us at Rhubarb Restaurant while we dashed out to take photographs before we lost the evening light. Sharon and Dan provided a wonderful breakfast and shared more about the Cove, the busloads of people (which we missed), and the area. I've seen lots of photos and it was pretty than I could have imagined!
A Destination in Itself!
Peggy's Cove Bed and Breakfast is definitely a destination in itself, whether you are interested in the lighthouse or not. There is no question that most visitors are there to see the lighthouse, but day visitors have no idea what they are missing. Don't let the modest presentation of Peggy's Cove Bed and Breakfast fool you. This establishment is absolutely welcoming, restful and refreshing. We stayed in Room 4 on the ground floor. This room has a roof over part of the large deck that it shares with the other ground floor room. The views from the deck include a small cove where we watched some young people jump into the water from the warf as we enjoyed an amazing sunset. The evening was quiet, the breezes just perfect, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We awakened in the morning to the smell of breakfast being prepared. There are two seating options, bar seating along a window that affords an opportunity to enjoy the view, and seating around the kitchen island which we chose. We were hosted by Judy and Dan Cotterell, owners of the B & B. I have included a photo of this charming couple. Married 42 years, Judy and Dan move in perfect harmony among their guests. They are quietly warm and friendly, and Dan has a dry and subtle sense of humour that we thoroughly enjoyed. Judy and Dan are incredibly skilled at reading each guest's unique desire for conversation. They know when to engage and respond, and when to subtly move back as guests are speaking privately. It was like watching butterflies move softly in a garden. Judy prepared a delicious breakfast that could easily stand with those that I have enjoyed in five star establishments. The fare included fresh baked muffins, fresh fruit with granola and yogurt, fresh baked croissants topped with bacon, and an egg and cheese mixture, as well as coffee and fresh orange juice. All were prepared using methods that resulted in a light and non greasy breakfast. It was delicious! Peggy's Cove B & B offers two ground floor queen rooms that share a large balcony; as well as three upstairs queen rooms with balconies; and a small private cottage just behind the main building that has two queen beds. The perfect way to kick off our east coast adventure!
How can a place be iconic and quaint at the same time? Peggy's Cove proves to be just that and the B & B offers a commanding view of the village and the light house. Rooms were very clean & well kept. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in in a very long time. The owners were friendly andthe breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Great Location
We only stayed here for one night and you could not have asked for a better place to stay. The view was beautiful. You could walk to the lighthouse in ten minutes. We stayed in room one with in suite bathroom. Our room was located on the second floor. We sat on the room's balcony and saw the ocean, the harbor and the lighthouse from our room. The day was beautiful and sunny. Breakfast was a treat. It started with a fresh fruit compote with a base of vanilla yogurt. Next came the homemade cranberry muffins. YUM! Then they served a toasted croissant stuffed with scrambled eggs. Hungry yet? Dan has a wonderful sense of humor. He said the croissant was their version of McDonald's egg McMuffin. McDonald's doesn't EVEN compare to what they served. Dan and Judy made us feel right at home. It was a pleasure to visit with them. I would make my reservations early to get the room you want. We made our five months before we arrived.
Best B & B Ever
We stayed at this B & B for 2 nights. The view from our room (room 1) was simply amazing. A perfect view of Peggy's Cove, the lighthouse and the open ocean. Having coffee on this deck in the morning before an amazing breakfast was one of the many highlights of our trip throughout eastern Canada. Dan and Judy are funny, down to earth, accommodating and great people to have met on our trip. We highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to spend time in Peggy's Cove. Mike & Nadia.
Awesome B & B
We stayed at this B & B for 2 nights. Spent most of the full day we had there out on the balcony soaking in the scenery and relaxing. Our hosts Dan and Judy were very welcoming and prepared 2 fantastic breakfasts for us. This B & B exceeded our expectations.
One of our top B & B stays
A wonderful B & B in a beautiful location. Dan even met us at the car and helped us with our bags. Our room was on the first floor and was nicely furnished and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The four rooms at the back all have decks that face onto the cove. You can even see the lighthouse from your deck, which is furnished with Adirondack chairs and glass panels to keep off any wind. It's just a few minutes walk to the lighthouse. Judy prepared excellent breakfasts, with nice attention to detail and presentation and served at 8:30 in a side room off the kitchen. During our 3 day stay we were served a fluffy popover with blueberries and lemon sauce, then seasoned scrambled eggs on a croissant, and on our last day French toast with bacon. All served with yogurt and granola and still-warm muffins and coffee or tea. In-room amenities include TV, wi-fi, alarm clock, and nice toiletries. If you'd like a cup of tea or coffee during the day, there's a small kitchenette area upstairs stocked with teas and coffee and an electric kettle, Keurig coffeemaker, and fridge. Next to this is a nice sitting area with comfortable seating. As for Peggy's Cove itself, there's the famous lighthouse of course, some nice shops, and the Sou'Wester Restaurant. Folks around the harbor are friendly and have some interesting stories to tell. It's a great place to relax and watch the harbor and just unwind. I'd recommend a 2 or 3 night stay. Our hosts Judy and Dan are very knowledgeable about the area and can give you some tips on side trips, like a visit to Lunenburg. We enjoyed Dan's sense of humor and felt very welcome during our visit.
Amazing location
We loved staying in Peggy's Cove, as our B & B afforded us an opportunity to see this famous spot in the quiet of morning and evening, when there are no tourists. Having arrived at dusk, we were thrilled when we got up at dawn the next day, to behold the cove in saturated light -- a photographer's dream! It was wonderful to have a deck with comfortable Adirondack chairs from which to view this lovely scene. The breakfasts here were generous and delicious, and served along a window-counter with a view of the water. Our downstairs room was exceptionally quiet, contrary to what I was expecting, given that there are rooms on the second floor. We really liked Judy and Dan, too, and appreciated their support when one day we weren't feeling well. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, which enabled us to rest up and move on with our journey according to schedule. I should mention, too, that the B & B is a good midpoint between Halifax and Lunenburg, if these places on your itinerary. Highly recommended.

Loved this B & B! Hosts were lovely and woke up to lemon blueberry souffle'! We could see the lighthouse from our room and deck.... highly recommend! Also loved sitting at the bar for breakfast and looking out at the beautiful view!
Perfect for Peggy's Cove!
We stayed only 1 night, but had a wonderful experience with Dan (love his humor) and Judy (great fun and cook)... Room 4 had a shared deck (large) that overlooked the lighthouse and cove... perfect for my early morning photo of the cove. VERY comfy bed, clean room, and superb breakfast. Loved the whole experience and would recommend it to anyone.
Wonderful experience
The B & B sits within easy viewing distance of the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse if it is not foggy, which it was for us. Big room, great breakfast and wonderful hosts. There is a nice community kitchen as well. What more could you ask for. Access is between 2 buildings that you would not think of as access to the B & B
Picturesque! Very friendly and welcoming!
We were only able to stay a single night and arrived after dark. When we awoke to the view the next day, it was spectacular. We had an upstairs room with a balcony from which you had a great view of the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. Breakfast was very good. Breakfast is served at one time for all guests. They waited until the last person was there. If you are early, you get a window seat with the views. If you are the last and the place is full, you get a seat in the center of the kitchen and get a great conversation with the family. Only potential issue I saw was that one of the rooms upstairs had a private bath, but it was not connected to the room. They had to cross a common room to get to their batch. If you want good pictures of the lighthouse, go early before the tour busses arrive. Once they arrive, you will have tourist in your pictures. Nice colorful boats and buildings for photography as well. The lighting was perfect the morning we were there. The mileage is not far from Halifax, but the road is small and curvy, so it takes a long time to get to Peggy's Cove from Halifax..
Great B & B in Peggy's Cove
This B & B is located right in Peggy's Cove, walking distance to the lighthouse. We only stayed one night and if we realized how close everything was we would have gotten up earlier and walked to the lighthouse before breakfast before all the tour buses started to arrive. The breakfast was delicious and the owners were friendly and welcoming. If coming from the airport remember to read the driving directions that they provide, take exit 5 instead of exit 1A which the GPS will tell you to take. We would definitely stay here again and hope that next time we have more time to spend.
Snug as a bug!
Shared a weekend getaway with a girlfriend for much needed R & R. As it was just prior to the season starting, we were the only two guests in the B & B. Room was very comfortable with a sliding door to a balcony overlooking the cove. Had a view of the lighthouse even! In suite bathroom was very roomy, lovely towels and all amenities provided. The bed is super comfortable and the sheets feel like butter... no other way to describe them! As the room is above the main level, it was very private and quiet. Upstairs has a shared common area with TV (if one really needs it) magazines, games, and a small coffee corner to help yourself to tea, coffee, etc. Small fridge came in handy to keep the wine chilled! Breakfast consisted of a Blueberry Soufle with homemade lemon curd, dusted with icing sugar... superb! Breakfast area is a seating arrangement along the windows which looks out into the harbour. " Bob " the pheasant and his " Bobette's " made an appearance walking across the lawn. Hosts, Dan, Judy and Sharon are a delight. We shared some jokes and had some wonderful conversations. Having had such a wonderful time, I'm eager to bring my spouse with me on my next trip... which can't be soon enough.
Great stay at Peggy's Cove B & B
I have to say, my wife and I were about to swear off B & B's because our bad experiences out weighed our good ones. BUT we really wanted to stay at Peggy's Cove on this, our second trip to Nova Scotia. We relied on a recommendation from Trip Advisor and we were so happy. Granted these are new owners of less than a year, so I can't address previous concerns, but our stay was wonderful ! Breakfasts were just fabulous and our hosts were just the most pleasant and accommodating people. Our room, though small was perfectly adequate, comfortable bed with nice spreads and comforters and afforded us a wonderful view of the cove and lighthouse.

Das Peggy's Cove B & B ist die einzige Unterkunft, die sich in Peggy's Cove, einem wunderschönen kleinen Ort an der Küste von Nova Scotia. Entsprechend hat man zu den eher hohen Preisen des B & Bs nicht wirklich überzeugende Alternativen. Nichtsdestotrotz ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis akzeptabel (insbesondere wenn man bedenkt, dass hier der nächste Lebensmittelladen nicht gerade um die Ecke liegt und entsprechend der). Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und haben alle einen Zugang zu einer Terasse von der aus man den berühmten Leuchtturm betrachten, morgens und abends die Sonne über dem Meer auf- und untergehen sehen kann, oder, wenn man mag, sich tagsüber entspannt bei einer netten Tasse Kaffee ganze Serien von Bussen mit Tagestouristen anschauen. Neben einem Fernseher gibt es in allen Zimmern DVD-Player und CD-Player mit Radio, W-LAN ist im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, insbesondere die selbstgebackenen Muffins und anderen Köstlichkeiten lassen mir noch 3 Monate später das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen. Kurz: auch wenn der Preis etwas über dem Limit lag, das ich mir eigentlich für Übernachtungen gesetzt hatte, kann ich das B & B rundum empfehlen und würde jederzeit wieder dort einkehren.
Highlight of our NS adventure
My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night at the end of September as I wanted to photograph the lighthouse at sunrise. Everything about staying here was fantastic, from the booking of the room over telephone and email to the checkin process to the room and breakfast, everything! I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone thinking of spending some time in Peggy's Cove, the location couldn't be any better. Know that there is four rooms in the main building, three upstairs that are more private and one downstairs where you'd be among the inn keepers in true B & B style. Of the three upstairs, two have private ensuite bathrooms where as the third has a dedicated bathroom that you have to leave your room and walk 10 paces to get to, not a real problem. My gf and I stayed in this room and it didn't bother us one bit, especially since we had such a fantastic view from our room. Make sure you know all this information before booking and request accordingly. I'd imagine with enough advanced notice, they would accommodate your request. If I had to find one non-positive thing so that this review wasn't just all gushing it would be that the bathroom assigned to our room could use some modernizing though it was all clean and functional, which is where my priorities lie.
What a view!!
You couldn't get a better view of the lighthouse and the cove than from this B & B!! Rooms were comfortable and clean. Hostess seemed very disappointed when we did not eat her quiche - almost to the point of being VERY uncomfortable - make sure you ask the night before what you are getting in the am! If you want to be " right there " than this is the place!!
WOW!
Not sure where to begin. This was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. Dan and Judy are two of the most gracious, kindness, amazing people I have ever met. The location couldn't have been any better. The room was amazing! Each room has a deck off the back to watch the lighthouse all night if you wished. We sat there for many hours just watching the beautiful scenery with our bottle of wine. Then in the morning waking up to the wonderful smells of Judy's incredible breakfast she had for us! WOW! Everything was perfect about this B & B, from the reservation, to the check-in, to the check-out. I really truly hated to leave these wonderful people and the beautiful location. A Great Business
Peggys Cove B & B is a local business that has operated under different ownership for many years. The owners have provided a warm welcome to guests from all over the world and attracted folks to the area while promoting our local businesses. Sadly, one of the owners has recently passed away which is a great loss to not only to her family and friends but to the local hospitality industry. Judy's smile and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.
Top B & B in Our Experience
For a special vacation {40th anniversary} we decided to take two weeks off in Nova Scotia. We like B & Bs and have stayed at many all over the U. S. We are careful to select top rated facilities and usually have a wonderful experience. But this one was " above not to and beyond! " Dana and Yumi were the perfect hosts, kept a lovely house, nice landscape and a wonderful breakfast! The views of the famous Cove and lighthouse were just the best in the village from our own balcony, no less. We even survived hurricane Irene! Only result was some wind and stupendous breakers over the huge rocks. Can you say " photo op? " Homemade breads and cakes for breakfast, congenial hosts, beautiful location - what's not to love. We will return!
It is 1 of 1 in Peggy's Cove, but they don't take that for granted
It is on the expensive side for a B & B in Nova Scotia, but is it worth it. The hosts are friendly, warm and attentive, the meals are creative and delicious, the rooms clean, the beds ultra comfortable and the location is great for people that want to be close enough to everything while at the same time being close to nothing. Plus, being in Peggys Cove you don't have to fight the throngs of camera wielding tourists... get out and about early, travel the area during the day and return for sunset after most everyone else has left.
A view to die for!
When planning our trip of East, I knew this was one of the places I wanted to stay immediately. We even rearranged our travel itinerary so that we could stay here! The rooms are clean, comfortable and exactly what I imagined they'd be. The rooms were also quiet and we didn't hear them making breakfast downstairs or the couple next door at all. Our views from our private balcony were simply stunning, and you can see all of the harbor and the lighthouse. It was a bit chilly that night, but we stayed out on the porch reading our books and watching the sunset, and afterwards retired to our rooms where we kept the windows open just a peek so we could fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The owners Judy and Dan were very friendly, and served a fantastic breakfast, complete with the best tasting pancakes and muffin's I've ever had! (Sorry Grandma!!) They treated us with respect, something younger-travelers like my husband and myself don't get very often. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Peggy's Cove Bed and Breakfast, wonderful
My husband and I spent one night at the B & B, ibn the cottage. Accomodations were very comfortable. The view of the lighthouse great, especially in the rolling fog. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous and delicious. Judy is a great cook. Both Judy and Dan are warm and friendly hosts. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Great quality B & B
Judy and Dan are great hosts - very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Judy is a great cook and baker and makes excellent breakfasts - the best I had on my trip! She very kindly gave me one of her recipes! They have helpful recommendations to make for places to visit and to eat. The accommodation is lovely - the rooms all have a balcony and views of the sea. There is a communal area to sit and there is tea and coffee making facilities as well as a microwave and fridge. The rooms are a good size, very clean and well appointed. Peggy's Cove is a lovely spot and a good place from which to visit the local area. Try hiring bikes at The Train Station at St Margaret's Bay and cycle on the Rails to Trails cycle route to Hubbards. Try some kayaking with East Coast Outfitters and Prospect Bay - they are excellent and the area is lovely. The restaurant, Rhubarb, just down the road is excellent and it is best to make a reservation.
Perfect!
This was a perfect stay in Peggy's Cove. The location is absolutely extraordinary. We enjoyed Peggy's Cove from our balcony with a glass of wine... perfect moment. And the breakfast was very very good. To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of B & B style and rather prefer classic hotel but I really enjoyed my stay at this B & B and don't regret taking that chance. If you stay around I strongly recommend this B & B mostly because of his unique location.
What Can I Say? It Is The Best!
This is a gem in an area not overloaded with lodging facilities. We were warmly greeted, shown to our room which had a beautiful view of the cove and the light house. Our bed was very comfy. The breakfast next morning was better than excellent. The only complaint that we told Dan about was that he didn't supply us with champagne and roses when we checked in! (Just kidding).

Peggy's Cove non è un posto scontato. Peggy's Cove è Peggy's Cove! Al faro ci dovete stare un'ora prima che sorge il sole o che dovrebbe sorgere il sole perché magari piove o c'è la nebbia e li dovete restare in riva all'oceano per un paio d'ore. Ma il Peggy's Cove B & B è il modo migliore per conoscere questo lontanissimo ancgolo del mondo. Poche camere, arredate con gusto, pulite in una semplice casa canadese. La casa è in mezzo al paese di case sparse nel nulla, davanti la baia di pescatori e più avanti ancora il faro e l'oceano. La colazione è ricca e genuina e c'è ogni cosa che si potrebbe desiderare per iniziare una giornata canadese, si fa sul bancone della veranda davanti alla vetrata sul mare. Grande l'ospitalità e l'accoglienza dei proprietari.... ma attenzione non è un luogo finto, un luogo separato dal contesto, no qui sei a Peggy's Cove.... e questo è fantastico, non lo dimenticherai più! Non è facile trovare posto, occorre prenotare con buon anticipo. Io sono state nel mese di settembre 2013.
The Best Home Away From Home!
Recently, my husband and I along with good friends traveled to Nova Scotia during our vacation. We found Peggy's Cover B & B through their website and thought what a charming place to stay. It exceeded our expectations. We were greeted warmly by our host, Dan, Judy and Sharon. They were most helpful in their recommendations on what to do, where to eat and even where we could do laundry. The views from our rooms were spectacular, the colors of the boats and village postcard perfect. Each evening we were welcomed by the beacon from the lighthouse and each morning awaken to the fragrance of something good cooking. Each breakfast was something special! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Was so lucky to stay one night at Peggy's Cove B & B. My sister found the B & B on an internet search and we were so delighted with the location, the rooms, the views, the breakfast and our wonderful hosts, Dana and Yumi, and their two dogs, Pepi and Beau. There are 5 comfortable, cozy rooms each with a balcony and views of the cove and the lighthouse. There is a common area to share with the other lucky guests with comfy chairs and a mini kitchenette. Breakfast is served in the kitchen and breakfast bar area on the main floor with views of the ocean. Delicous yogurt, granola and frest fruit to start accompanied by freshly baked scones, breads and muffins. If you are still hungry Yumi will whip you up a yummy omelet! A wonderful, comfortable place to stay with absolutely stunning views!!
Perfect start to our Honeymoon
We picked Peggy's Cove for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon in Nova Scotia and it couldn't have been any better. We were greeted on arrival and made to feel at home. Our room had a balcony overlooking the harbour which is even better than in the photos! The breakfasts were simply superb withour being too much and our hosts were very genuine, informative and entertaining. Like minded guests also made our stay a real pleasure and all in all this is one not to miss.

A little bit of paradise! We were warmly welcomed by Dan, Judy and Sharon, the innkeepers. From our room we looked out on the sea and heard the waves crashing against the rocks. Every morning brought welcome smiles and a great breakfast. Dan's humor was always a welcome addition. The room are spacious, quiet and clean. There are books, DVD's, coffee and tea for a relaxing afternoon. There was plenty to do, both in Halifax and along the coast. Yet a relaxing day around the village is as good as it gets. The wares in the shops in the village were of high quality and a great variety. Like a lighthouse, Peggy's Cove B & B beckons us back!
Little Piece of Heaven
Dan and Judy are lovely hosts and staying at Peggy's Cove B & B was a perfect choice. Beautiful room, extremely comfortable bed!! The views from the deck were amazing. All the creature comforts taken care of. Judy is a wonderful cook, her baked eggs were de-lish, and the oatmeal muffins were yummy. Dan is a great host and recommended a wonderful dinner spot, even phoning ahead to make sure they were open late. We will be back there... it was awesome!

Dan, Judy, and Sharon were fantastic hosts. Friendly and very helpful! A very, quaint, clean, beautifully decorated inn!The deck was the PERFECT place to sit and relax and take in the beautiful view! Right on the water, so relaxing! The breakfast was great! Great view of the lighthouse. Once you get there, no need to leave. You can walk to all there is to see. If we come back to Nova Scotia, it will be our first stop.

Das B & B ist die einzige Unterkunft direkt in Peggy's Cove. Dementsprechend ist die Unterkunft früh ausgebucht. Wir haben aufgrund einer Stornierung noch ein Zimmer erhalten. Das B & B hat drei Zimmer. Zimmer 1 und 2 haben direkten Blick auf den Hafen vom großen Balkon aus. Zimmer drei hat einen seitlichen Balkon, so dass man etwa 2 / 3 des Hafens sehen kann. Wir hatten Zimmer 3. Das Zimmer und Bad war sehr gepflegt und ausreichend groß. Schlafqualität war sehr gut. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und perfektes Frühstück frisch zubereitet mit Müsli, frischem Osbt und jeden Tag etwas anderes. Zur Hauptreisezeit ist dieses B & B von erheblichem Vorteil da am Abend und Morgen so gut wie keine Touristen im Ort sind. Ansonsten kommen bereits ab etwa 09:00 Uhr am Morgen Mengen an Reisebusse (Hauptsächlich von den Kreuzfahrtschiffen aus Halifax). Um 09:00 Uhr kam der erste Reisebus - gegen 09:30 Uhr waren es bereits 8! Im Ort gibt es keine Restaurants oder Bars. (lediglich das Touristenzenrum am Leuchtturm hat geöffnet - ist aber typisches Touristenessen) Mit dem Fahrzeug gibt es aber in der Nähe zwei Restaurants (Leider Namen vergessen). Eines 3 Minuten, das anderen 10 Minuten entfernt. Peggy's Cove Leuchtturm ist auch für sein kleines Postamt berühmt geworden - dieses Postamt gibt es aber nicht mehr!!!! (Obwohl es auch noch in aktuellen Reiseführern genannt wird.) Wenn man Nova Scotia bereist hat und viele Leuchttürme gesehen hat, so ist es hier in Peggy's Cove eigentlich nur ein Leuchtturm! Und dieser steht auf von Gletschern glatt geschliffenen Felsen. Die Landschaft und der Hafen sind ein schönes Fotomotiv und wenn mann den Lighthouse-Trail in Richtung Halifax befährt, dann kommt man dort vorbei. Schafft man es nicht, sollte man sich nicht ärgern. Das B & B ist aber auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
Best Place to Stay in Peggy's Cove
This place has very comfortable but small rooms overlooking Peggy's Cove. In addition the rooms are very quiet. We could not have been more comfortable. Our hosts were quite helpful finding a Catholic church to attend Sunday mass. Our breakfast was okay but a bit below what we normally expect in B & Bs. Guests ate at a bar facing away from the kitchen and toward windows with a rather bland view. This tended to discourage much conversation with other guests.
perfect location
We stayed in Peggy's Cove for one night and enjoyed our stay. It's nice to visit the lighthouse after the masses have left for the day. This B & B is in a perfect spot as it faces the cove and has balconies off the room. It's also just a short walk to the lighthouse. We stayed in room 3 which was large and had a nice balcony off the side of the house. Rooms 1 & 2 have direct views which is really nice. The only minor downside to room 3 is that the bathroom for room 2 is on the other side of the wall from your bathroom, so when people are in there (which was the case often), it can sound like they are actually in your bathroom. Other than that, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best on our trip. Dan and Judy were very hospitable and we would stay here again but prefer the rooms the face the cove directly.
The best B & B we ever have been !
We travelled all over Canada and stayd a lot at B & Bs. This one is the best with most friendliest hosts ever. The views are great and the people make everything happen. The breakfast was really great. Rooms are nice furnished, very clean and quit. For rainy days we had access to DVDs during our four night stay and great recommondations for everything from eating to hiking.
First Stay at a B & B
Stayed here on August 9th. First time I have ever stayed in a B & B. The bar has now been set. Dan and Sharon couldn't have been more welcoming. Amazing breakfast and the views were right out of a magazine. My friend and I enjoyed it so much we called to see if they had a room for the night of the 12th. Luckily they did and we stayed there instead of a stuffy hotel room in Halifax. 😍. 5 out of 5.
Peggy's Cove B & B
My wife and I spent our 1st night in Nova Scotia at Peggy's Cove. The owners provided very good directions to their B & B, but it was a long way from the Halifax airport. The room was small but nice & clean. The breakfast was great! We did not see much at Peggy's Cove except the lighthouse. There is only one restaurant and the 2 -3 shops were closed. Peggy's Cove is a tiny fishing village, but not much else. It is a long drive to get to and not much there.
Quite little piece of heaven
Peggy's Cove is a quaint little town with beautiful vistas from all angles. We stayed at the B & B and felt right at home with our hosts, Judy and Dan. Yes, Dan has quite a sense of humor and he and Judy treat you like family, except we didn't have to do the dishes! Breakfasts were delicious and visually pleasing and kept up going until dinner. Yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, orange juice, coffee, tea and a yummy muffin were starters each day. We had a egg and cheese and bacon croissant one day and our second day was bacon with French toast and maple syrup. Our room has a balcony overlooking the port where the fishermen brought in the catch of the morning and beyond was the lighthouse. Sunset here is not to be missed! We hope to return one day and hope all of you will treat yourselves to this quiet piece of the world.
Fantastic Location and Service
My wife and I stayed at this facility during our recent trip to Nova Scotia. Of all the B & B's we stayed at during our trip this one was far and away the best. Why? Because the owners / managers Dan and Judy are just great people that make you feel so welcome and part of the family. You can tell right away that they care about their guests and their comfort. They are very helpful with suggestions on what to see and do as well as restaurant recommendations. The location just cannot be beat. You could throw a coin into Peggys Cove from our room veranda! Just beautiful. You have Peggys Cove all to yourself after the tour buses leave the area and before they get there in the morning. Just could not be more perfect for one of the most popular and photographed spots in Nova Scotia. Judy and Dan did a great job with hot breakfast cooked to order. Be advised that breakfast can take some time because of the fascinating conversations you can have with Dan and Judy! Our room was clean, comfortable and had a post card view of Peggys Cove. Dont miss the fresh lobster from the boiling pot at Reyers Wholesale just up the road from Peggys Cove. It was fun to pick out our own lobster and then eat it outside on the picnik table. A great experience and so reasonably priced. My wife and I each had a two pound lobster for a total bill of $36.00 Unheard of in the U. S. Thank You Dan and Judy for such a pleasant stay. You guys are the best. We hope we can return someday soon.
My heart is still there!
The moment that I walked into this place, I felt at home and soothed by the beautiful breeze. Our room was light and airy, with a balcony overlooking the ocean and the fishing village. We could also see the lighthouse up on the rocks. Sun, wind, and the ocean waves washing up on the rocks. Our hosts were welcoming, and everything was comfortable and lovely! Breakfast very nice... just right, with muffins, yogurt and fruit, egg cups, bacon, all while looking out at the ocean. Did not want to leave...... we will be back, for a few days next time!
b & b a Peggy's Cove
questo b & b è in un bellissimo villaggio, da poco gestito da una famiglia canadese. Il b & b è ben gestito e curato. La posizione è stupenda con vista sulla baia. Colazioni non molto ricercate e un po' pesanti da gestire, ma comunque abbondanti.
Mosquitos made for a tough evening.
We had a delightful stay at PCBB. The breakfast was great. The hosts were charming. It is a great spot from which to roam the cove area. The views were gorgeous, but we could not fully enjoy due to the mosquitos. We had to kill them in the room and could not open the doors (no screen) to enjoy. Could not sit outside either. Again, a great place to stay... just maybe not in August.
Location and Service!
We had no plan to stay anywhere but saw a listing for this little place in Peggy's Cove. We got lucky that day that they had a room, the location was breathtaking. The owner's couldn't have been nicer and accommodating. This place felt more like staying at your families for a visit.
Private " cottage "
We stayed in the freestanding cottage; it was very nice. Relaxed seaside setting, nice view. Even the views out the uphill window were of nice waving grass; the views of the sea and the town are very nice. Friendly, comfortable, accomodating hosts!
Great experience
Peggy's Cove B & B was a wonderful experience. This was our first time ever staying at a B & B and the quality bar has been set very high. The personal service is great, and the new owners are wonderful. The house looks out over the cove and gives great views of the lighthouse. The place is easy to find, even when it's dark, rainy, and foggy (which it was for part of our trip). The breakfast was excellent. A delicious granola, yoghurt, and fruit parfait, as well as a lovely egg and bacon croissant sandwich. Most importantly, the coffee was excellent! We would definitely book this place again if we were to ever come back to Peggy's Cove in the future. I wish the new owners the best of luck with the B & B!
Wonderful B & B
I can only recommend a stay at Peggy's Cove B & B. I recently stayed here with my sister at the end of an 5000km road trip and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Judy, Sharon and Dan made us feel really welcome and looked after, the room was spotless and we had that famous view whilst sitting on the bed, but we also had a deck right outside the room from which the views were even better. Breakfasts were wonderful and so extensive ('3-course breakfast') that I always got my muffin wrapped up to eat later in the day. The other thing I really enjoyed was that the breakfast was served communally, which meant you got to know some of the other guests as well. The other great thing about staying in Peggy's Cove is that you get to be there before and after all the visitors arrive for the day and see the village and lighthouse while it's quiet.
Little Anna's Castle
We stayed at Peggy's Cove for five days and could not have had better accommodations. It was a three generation getaway with a little one, we had the cottage and it was just perfect. The owners are delightful, they looked after our every need and took very good care of us. The food was excellent, the view could not have been better, it is close to a lot of lovely places, I certainly would recommend this B & B to everyone.
Fantastic B & B
My husband and I stayed for one night - October 3rd. We had an upstairs room with a balcony and a great view! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They recommended going to the restaurant just down the road called Rhubarb. It was very good and would certainly recommend it. The room was clean and very comfortable - very quiet. We had a very good breakfast - one of the bes on our trip! Make sure you get to the lighthouse early before all the tour buses arrive!

Thanks SO much to Sharon, Judy and Dan for a perfect stay in beautiful Peggy's Cove! Unfortunately I could only stay one night at the end of my trip, but would definitely return because I had such an excellent time. I had lovely room with its own deck and a view to the lighthouse and the breakfast was fabulous. It was a real treat to be in Peggy's Cove after the last tour bus rolled out in the evening. Can't recommend staying here enough!!
Comfortable, Convenient, Friendly
Although short (only one night) I had a great stay! The room was nicely appointed, and with a great view of the lighthouse; the free wifi was faster and more reliable than my previous night's hotel (big-name hotel on Halifax waterfront...) ! I was looking for a place to stay close to the lighthouse, as I am an avid photographer and wanted to be close for sunset AND sunrise shots. Without walking on private property (respect the locals!) it is about a 10 minute walk to the lighthouse, but would be faster " as the crow flies ". Photography was great right from the semi-private balcony, as you look over a small inlet with working fishermen doing their work, and over to the lighthouse itself. Breakfast was wonderful, so too was the conversation. I will certainly be back!
Wonderful Experience
Didn't know what to expect when we arrived but we can't say enough about how welcoming and helpful Dan, Judy, and Sharon were upon our arrival. The room was bright, clean and the bed was as comfortable as ours back home. The view from our room was spectacular and we could enjoy it while sipping a glass of wine on the deck. There is a comfortable sitting room where you could relax with a book or your computer. A fridge, glasses, mugs, dishes etc. is provided for guests. The breakfast was delicious and there was a great deal of banter and laughter among the guests. So sorry that we didn't reserve for more than 1 night. Would have been wonderful to stay for a few days and use it as our home base. We were treated as friends and it was a wonderful experience that we hope to repeat in the near future.
Fantastic!
What a fantastic place! The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a lovely view from the decking. The breakfast was well-balanced and delicious. Dan, Judy and Sharon made us feel so welcome, and went out of their way to make everything special. Peggy's Cove B & B was an excellent resting spot, and my wife and I would highly recommend it to others. We'd love to come back!
Great place to relax
Peggy's Cove can be overwhelming with the excessive number of tourists coming in by day, but this bed and breakfast is up on a hill overlooking the cove, away from the hustle and bustle, yet within walking distance from the village and the lighthouse. We took a look at the lighthouse, checked out the stores, but spent the majority of our time in Peggy's Cove relaxing at this lovely retreat. Judy, Dan and Sharon are perfect hosts--very gracious, always available, but unobtrusive. Our room had a sliding glass door that opened onto the deck overlooking the cove. There were Adirondack chairs on the deck as well as on the lawn for totally relaxing. The ocean was visible from the deck as well, and we could hear the sound of the waves breaking on the rocky shore. The sliding glass door had a screen, so we fell asleep feeling the fresh air and listening to the sound of the surf. It was so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable as well, and breakfast was fabulous.
