Servers, atmosphere and food will bring us back!
Great wait staff and the food was excellent! Didn't care for the little " boat " dishes that the baked potato was served in and would rather had my prime rib served on a regular plate as apposed to swimming in a 1 / 2 " of juices. These issues aside, we will be dinning there again during our next trip to the area.
Dinner with friends
This was our first time eating at this establishment we drove from out of town and met with some friends which recommended it and I'll say I'm glad they did. We each got different entrees from Pork Chops, Chicken Parmesan and the Cowboy Ribeye. My steak was cooked just as ordered with a loaded baked potato we also had the egg rolls as appetizers with were good as well our waitress did an amazing job and kept check on us the whole time so that's always a plus. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try
Have to rethink this
First, let me say the food at Vegas is consistently good. However, at at this visit, we had a waitress that just wasn't on her game. She was just slow at everything. Slow to bring drinks, didn't not return during meal to see if we needed anything. The music was extremely loud and we asked if it could be turned down and she said she'd ask the m in the back. Never was turned down. We had to wait probably 10 minutes to get our ticket. We also noticed other patrons looking around trying to figure out where she was, trying to get service or their tickets. Her name was Chris.
Just OK
We've been here before and expressed this same criticism directly to the manager. You cannot have Italian dishes, especially chicken parmigiana, using only provolone cheese, just not right. So if you are tempted to go for the Italian food and if you know Italian food (i. e, you're from the NE) you will be sorely disappointed, but that is just generally the case all over eastern TN. Rare to find Italian food done right. BUT, if in fact you are looking for an authentically good Italian meal, a great steak, appetizers, cocktails, that will prepare t your asking,.. w / excellent service try 'Forte's' downtown Crossville. Vegas Steakhouse and Lounge is a good and reasonably priced restaurant, but not all on the menu is worth, on its own, going to it for. Stick with the basics, like steaks and burgers, but look elsewhere if Italian or seafood is on your mind...
We definitely recommend Vegas
Generous portions and great food. Lots of options on the menu. This is one of our top 3 restaurants in Crossville for a wonderful lunch! Old timey inside by charming. Super nice staff, too!
Anniversary and first time here
The meal was very good. Strip steaks, potato, salads. Reasonably priced and large portions. Our server, Mackenzie, made the experience even better. She helped with menu selections, and her upbeat and friendly interaction was just right. We'll be back next time we're in town.
First visit to Vegas.
This was our first visit to Vegas.... it was fantastic. We ate in the bar area because the TN Vols were playing. Great atmosphere in the bar. Server came quickly for our drink orders and returned quickly for our meal order. Server was friendly and perfectly southern! Wife ate coconut shrimp that was great. I ate the jalapeno burger.. cooked perfectly medium and juicy. The menu was amazingly broad... beef, seafood, Italian, burgers and other sands.. just about anything one could want. Prices were reasonable, service was great, bar atmosphere with multiple TVs was great..... we can't wait to go again.
Great food and service!
This place is great! Great food, great service and very good ambiance. I had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We would definitely visit again.

Tons of food! You'll get your monies worth!! My husband had the ribeye and he said it was delicious. Our meal was $55, but here's what we ate….. Blooming onion for appetizer, ribeye with a salad and broccoli, a pirate feast (fried tilapia, crab cake, clam strips and shrimp) with baked potato and broccoli, rolls and two sweet teas! The service was impeccable! Very friendly staff, they took excellent care of us! Although the restaurant title has " lounge " in it, you don't have to go to the lounge. The restaurant side is family friendly! We will Definitely eat here again
Noncaring and unresponsive !!!
My husband and I went for lunch. We ordered our food. I was still eating. She asked my husband if he was done. He was finished so she took his plate and asked what dessert he wanted. While I listened, she also took my plate away. I had more than half my lunch still on my plate. When she returned with his dessert I asked where my plate was and she informed me she " threw it out ". I wasn't offered new food. Just " sorry ". When we went up front to pay I told the cashier the story and the response was " sorry ". I wasn't offered any compensation from either noncaring indivuals. Horrible restaurant. DONT GO !!!
Vegas Steakhouse Crossville TN
We've eaten here a couple of times and found the food to be consistently good and the service good. Also priced reasonably. I had the eggplant parm and my spouse had steak. Both were very good.
Normally everything is great
We had the steak and lobster on 3 / 1 / 23, had it before and it was great. This time the steak was wonderful, however the lobster tails were not very good, normally sweet these were some of the worst we've ever had. We should have sent it back, but we don't like to complain, however after thinking about the cost we thought we should complain. We don't eat lobster regularly, but enough to know these were not prepared right or possibly started earlier and finished when ordered. Disappointed as had really looked forward to this dinner.
Great family visit
We had a wonderful time there with our group of six. We had a scheduling issue because of family problem and the manager and waitress were so helpful and accommodating us even though we missed our reservation time. We started the evening in the bar and ended with a lovely meal in the main dining room. Thanks to the wonderful staff there!!!

Good but not over the top
We were recommended to come here by our resort and it was fairly decent. We got several appetizers and then one meal. Our meal was the spanakopita, which is like a spinach pie, and it was okay. At first it seemed a little dry and then the center was warm and melted. We also got chicken wings, onion rings, loaded potato skins, and southwest chicken egg rolls. I have to say my favorite part was the egg rolls! They were super flavorful. The chicken wings were just a basic buffalo flavoring that you can get almost everywhere. Other than that, our waiter was very nice and the restaurant seemed very clean.
Tough sirloin
My medium well sirloin was tough & thin, but my husband's prime rib was very good. Baked potatoes & salad were good as were the rolls. Good service
took a chance
The steakhouse is not only a restaurant but has a large bar area with TVs and plenty of tables to dine at. We opted for the bar, which was a little noisy, but we were seated immediately and within minutes a waitress arrived to take drink orders. Service was prompted and courteous. Our salads were served, a good size plate, almost a meal in itself. The steaks where prepared to our request and delicious. This dining experience was extremely enjoyable.
Night Out
Had the Prime Rib it was fantastic. Server who was new was very personable and gave us top notch service. Wife had the NY Strip she also loved it. We will be back, they do take reservations 👍
Absolutely the best restaurant in Crossville
Service is quick and the food is really good. My only issue after several visits is their drink glasses are too small.
Great Service
We went here for dinner. The service was amazing. The loaded potato skins were great. My wife and I had steak but it was very average. I would not recommend it. The shrimp was terrific.
Just what you'd expect
It's called the " Vegas Steakhouse and Lounge. " It's in Tennessee. It's got a neon sign. Fine dining, it ain't. It's a kitschy old-school " steakhouse and lounge " straight out of another era. Everything was solidly decent, but the kitsch factor was off the charts. Enjoy.
Good food with reasonable prices
Daily specials are very good. Portions are reasonable and prices are as well. Atmosphere is a little dated but you can deal with that.
After golf dining
We dine at Vegas about every other week with a group of 22-28. We supply advanced orders and they are very prepared when we arrive, We order off the full menu and the food and service is always first class. Reasonable prices and happy hour, make for an enjoyable evening. Thanks to Nick and his staff.
Good steakhouse
Ate there twice. The porterhouse is on the thin side, but you can't expect a thick one for $22. Cooked perfectly med rare and tasty. Green bean side was excellent. Sirloin the second time was very good. These are not NY style thick cuts of prime, but Vegas is a good local steakhouse and a great value.
Wise choice
Very friendly staff that caters to their customers. The meals are continuously very tasty and you will not leave hungry as they have really good portions. If you are looking for a really good steak and seafood house this is the place.
Dinner
Terrible terrible service. It was sat night arrived 7:15 sat down 7:45 did not get our dinner until 8:45 only 2 of us with one having a salad with no meat the other had fried fish and salad maybe they had to go catch that fish no idea but crazy amount of time to fry couple pieces of fish which looked terrible. I had both coffee and water waitress was gone so long had drank both and had to wait forever for waitress to return this was even before dinner ever arrived. Empty drink glasses continued thru whole meal. We had to look at dirty dishes left on a nearby table. Waitress disappeared with our card for what seemed like forever. We finally got out of the restaurant at 9:30 crazy amout of time for a simple dinner. I thought it was odd that a couple of people were paying at the hostess stand while we were waiting to becseated but after our experience I can understand guessing their waitress slow slow slow also.
Excellent
My husband and I wanted to visit a local restaurant and after reading reviews this fit the bill. The waitress " Angela " was very attentive and personable. The food was excellent and we got plenty. Had the filet with a side of shrimp. Definitely recommend Vegas.
Love Vegas!
We love going here. Staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Food is great - I highly recommend the Chef's Salad. We've never had a bad meal here. And, we often go with a large group (10-12).
Steak dinner for Birthday celebration
Wanted a nice steak dinner to celebrate a birthday trip. All 3 of us had the 8 oz. Strip on the special. 2 of the 3 steaks were cooked to perfection, 1 had to be sent back to finish cooking. Bakes potatoes were wonderful. Hot, lots of extra butter and sour cream. Rolls were hot and moist. All 3 had salads with same dressing, but different requests. All 3 salads came out as ordered. Drink from bar was big enough, strong enough, and ice cold. Wait staff was fantastic. Very on top of things in regards to refills, extras, etc. without hovering. Price was reasonable for the style of dining. $50 for the 3 of us, including bar tab.
good steak house
Great sized portions. Shared the Surf and turf which was prepared to perfection. It was so good. The staff was helpful and quick. Left plenty of time between courses to socialize. Enjoyed the place and the meal.
This is our favorite local
This is our favorite local restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is top notch. Enjoy fine dining or the best drinks in town on the bar / lounge side!

Dinner after exploring
Funny to go to a steakhouse for seafood, but we enjoyed their blackened snapper and shrimp scampi. Good drinks, good service, reasonable prices.

Sorry, but this trip was a bust. Apps took longer than other tables mains. Six other tables mains out before ours, despite being seated ahead of those tables. Had to ask for refills. Had to ask for app plates. Seated at a small table, despite asking for a large one. Spaghetti was good. Chicken tenders were good. Fish and chips... mediocre... at best... it was fish sticks on a bed of very good fries. The cheese sticks didn't have cheese in them in 2 out of 3... not sure why, but that one really frosted my giblets. Sweet tea refilled with unsweet, then server told me that I was wrong when I told her the tea wasn't sweet. I wasn't really looking for a fight, just some tea. We watched another table get seated and forgotten... at least we weren't that table! It was a " 1 " experience, but they did so well last time that I couldn't do a 1... this restaurant has always been a little inconsistent so I'm going to ding them a bit til they up their game. Go eat there, but bring your patience with you and be prepared to roll the dice... might be a one... might be a four.
Not worth the visit
This " iconic " restaurant has been around a long time. We visited it and ordered the daily special- which was a top sirloin- the salad was just okay, the coffee was worse than Folgers, the steak was thin and dry! I know it is loved by the locals, however, we couldn't understand why?!
Disappointing to Say the Least
My friend Bruce and I had visited a local attraction in Crossville and we decided it was time for lunch. I'd heard about the Vegas Steakhouse and Bar so I decided to give it a try… The dining areas are a bit dated and a little 'cave like', but everything was clean and well maintained. It was well after the normal lunch hour so the restaurant wasn't busy. Bruce was trying to eat healthy so he ordered a Turkey sandwich. He told me that his sandwich was OK but nothing special. As for my French Dip / Roast Beef sandwich, it was a bit like eating over-done paper thin " Steak-umm " …thin-sliced frozen pieces of semi-dry tasteless 'steak'. Without the au jus accompanying the sandwich, I would have had to bury it in ketchup to make it palatable. As it was, I dunked my sandwich in the au jus and then the ketchup. To make matters worse, our waitress had an 'attitude' going on! Surly would be the best description. It's not like either of us gave her a rough time or tried to joke around with her. She should have stayed home for the day…or tried another line of work…like prison guard.
First time here trying it out
Not a great start waited to be seated for 15 minutes then when seated we were waiting for 30 minutes before we stopped a waitress and asked why we were not being served and people who had come in after us were being served. We called the waitress over and explained she apologized and took our order a few minutes later the Manager came and apologized and offered us a free dessert. We had the Vargas bloomer onion which was nice but a big starter even for two we then tried the sausage gumbo which was very tasty and I had steak and chicken my wife had the homemade lasagna which was nice. The steak was a bit grizzly but chicken was cooked great. Place was clean and service great when we got it.
First visit, First Impressions, Last Visit
I asked my wife where she wanted to go for dinner. Vegas Steakhouse came right out. We had not been there before but I had checked out the reviews on Tripadvisor so I knew it would be a crapshoot. We were kindly greeted at the door and where told we were still in time for the early bird special, I said Thank you and the hostess stated that I obviously did not know what " early bird " was but my wife understood completely. I really was not in the mood to start arguing with the hostess so I let it go. We were seated immediately, were asked within seconds of getting our menus if we had decided what we wanted for dinner. I said we needed a few minutes to decide what appetizer we wanted in the meantime, two glasses of iced water with lemonade and lots of ice. They do not stock Pepsi products so I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. It was a little strong but it was OK. We were asked several times if we were ready to order. We decided to split a chicken wing appetizer with blue cheese dressing. What a great choice, we received 8 or 9 large wings that were juicy on the inside and the perfect hot outside. The celery sticks and dressing were a great side to the spicy wings. As stated earlier, this was our first visit so we had to try the steaks, after all it's Vegas... I ordered the 20 oz Prime Rib with fries and broccoli; my wife order the 16 oz Prime Rib with a loaded baked potato and broccoli. I ordered another long Island. Our dinners arrived shortly, both broccoli bowls were overloaded and fresh, the fries were crisp and hot. Lynne's baked potato was loaded. Although the Prime Ribs were cooked medium rare to order, they were the toughest and most tendon filled we have ever had. The waitress arrived while I was cutting mine with a serrated steak knife and she said she could hear me cutting the meat as she approached. She asked if we need to talk to the manager, I said no that we will work thru it. A few minutes later one of the owners arrived anyway and we showed him and let him hear the sawing sound of cutting the steak. He stated that you never know what type / quality side you will get on any given night and both dinners were from the same cut and agreed that they are very tough. My thoughts were… first, are we the first people tonight to order the Prime Rib. Second, did anyone from kitchen notice the ribs were so difficult to cut. Third, does no one check their product before it goes to the table. The part owner did ask if there was anything else or something else, we would like off the menu, our answers were no, Prime rib was what we wanted. The part owner stated he was sorry the prime rib was tough. Our waitress brought us two take home containers, we boxed what was left of the broccoli and Lynne's baked potato. Lynne left 90 percent of her Prime and I left about 60 percent of my Prime on the plate. They were not worth eating now, why take it home for later. If I was the owner recognizing that his restaurant was presenting a bad product and the customer was kind enough not to make an issue or scene of it… I would have comped the dinners and given the customers a gift certificate for the cost of the Prime Ribs, no question asked. Our split appetizer, one iced tea, two alcohol drinks and two steak dinners with a 20% tip added up to $91.00. $45.00 of the bill were the Prime Ribs. The waitress said thanks for coming, that they have a lot of great stuff on the menu and asked us to return but try something else next time. They had their chance and I don't think it's right to stiff a customer out of a meal, so our reply to that return invitation is… no comp, no return. I would have given a terrible rating but the wing appetizer was good. The next night, I told my wife she better enjoy her $45.00 baked potato and broccoli.

Food was okay, had great service. Prices were okay pretty much your basic steak house. Would go back.
Great food and service!
Food and margaritas were both great. Portion size was more than we could eat, and service is always great. Have eaten here many times over the years of golfing in Crossville. Menu has lots of variety to please everyone.
Slow slow slow
We have eaten here many times. Last time was one and a half hours waiting on our food. We had a very hard time keeping up with our waitress. Food was okay. My daughter ordered beef tips rare and they were well done. Finally I went up to the front and got her a to go box for her daughter and our bill. Otherwise we would have been there maybe two hours. Really need to improve. They have been a very good restaurant in the past but are failing quickly.
Good
If you're looking for Las Vegas flair in Crossville no review is going to help you. If you're traveling and need a meal somewhere other than every chain place on the interstate then give Vegas a try. We had the gyro, dip, tuna and BLT, all with fries. Everything was tasty, service was fine, tea was good and the place was clean. What more can you ask for? All in all, a good bet.
Great happy hour
Been here several times and each time has been a great experience. Had Jeff has our bartender each time. Watching him work the busy bar is quite impressive. Nice food choices at a very reasonable price. Few drinks each during happy hour and two meals, less than $50. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours
Really a 4 1 / 2 star rating, Darned good
First time there went with friends that recommended it, They were right! The initial service (drinks / bread) was immediate, We asked for time to chat before ordering and it was perfect. No push but quick available if we wanted. The 10oz prime rib was larger than expected and very good. The petite filet was small, tasty, and also plenty. The lasagna was also a good portion and met with accolades. I had the Cajun gumbo instead of salad and found it VERY good. The salads looked good, too. The green beans did not appeal to me so I had unsalted fries. The server arrived without to fries and explained that she forgot to mark them unsalted and it would be a minute to get them. I was OK with that and they came quickly. One of their signature dishes is spanakopita (a Greek spinach pastry) so vegetarians can be comfortable in a carnivore environment.
Nice, not Fancy
Went on a Monday evening. First visit (our regulars were closed). Nice menu, reasonable prices, good service and a generous pour on the wine! Salads were more than iceberg lettuce and a couple of cherry tomatoes - had lettuce, spinach, red onions, good olives and Parmesan cheese. Got the 8 oz ribeye special and while it was somewhat thin, it was cooked as ordered and tasty. The spanakopita was made in house, tasty and a generous portion. Decor was plain, but clean. We'll definitely go back.
Good quality, good price
I was passing through the area and wanted to eat st a mom and pop. This place had good lunch prices. I had a hamburger and fries, cooked perfectly. Even though it was plsin food, there was attention to detail. Go there. You will like it.
Steaks are very good
We ate dinner here and the sirloin steaks was as good as outback steak the salad was very good also, drinks are very reasonable also we will be back
BAM
Terrible from start to finish. We were served drinks with little or no ice. The bread was cold, the steaks were grisly and tough and not cooked as we had ordered, the green beans were tasteless, broccoli tasteless and raw. We were able to eat part of the baked potato and that was ALL. Service was poor. Waitress was never around during our meal. We wanted to tell someone that our food was terrible but no one in management was available. Anyone that cares to look could see the we did not and could not eat this food. We paid $44.00 for nothing. What a rip off and extreme disappointment.
A Lucky Find
We were actually looking for a mexican restaurant and couldn't find it so decide to give this place a try. What a find. I had the grilled tuna and my friend had the Shrimp Ahoy. The portions were generous and everything tasted great. Definitely give this a try if you are in the area. Service was fast and friendly.
Excellent Chopped Steak
This is my go to place for the best chopped steak in town. It is huge, large enough for two people, and comes with a nice rich brown gravy, mushrooms, and onions. Great food!
Deceptive Name
There are three slot machines when you walk in the door, I don't know if they work, but that's where I think the " Vegas " part ends. The restaurant itself is decent, appears clean and not a shabby place, by any means. My husband and I had lunch, the food was good, and the servings were generous. Our server was friendly and attentive, and prices were reasonable. I cannot say anything bad about the experience but it just didn't stand out as exceptional.
Great food and service
Best meal of the week at Crossville. Family of 7 adults and all meals were great. Specials of the night were a great value. Saw bar was crowded and found they have a " Happy Hour "
2nd and last visit
Went there on a weekend night. We wanted to sit outside because the weather was amazing that night. The patio dining area was off of the bar. The whole place was full of young, drunk guys and gals! Fights were breaking out in the parking lot as well. I'm wondering why the bartender didn't cut some of them off earlier in the night. The food was mediocre at best. Definitely not going back! $50 wasted.
Very Good Food At An Older Restaurant
My wife and I were in the area for our anniversary trip. Since we had flown to Las Vegas for our honeymoon 24 years earlier, we found the humor in eating our anniversary dinner at the Vegas Steakhouse. A few locals told us it was a good place to eat, while others encouraged us to look for a nicer place for our anniversary. We took a chance, had a laugh at the irony of the Vegas connection, and arrived for our celebratory dinner. We were seated immediately upon arrival and found the restaurant to be older and a little lacking in decor, but our server was very attentive and friendly. We both decided to have prime rib with sweet potatoes and salads. The food was quickly delivered to our table. It was delicious. When our server learned that we were out of town and there celebrating our anniversary, she brought us a complimentary dessert that was very good. It was very thoughtful for the staff to treat us. While this probably isn't the most modern or up-to-date restaurant in town, it does have a great wait staff and delicious food. We will definitely eat at the Vegas Steakhouse the next time we're in town.
Great Family Food
We went to this place in July on Our vacation. The evening we went we had the best service, friendly and pleasant. The place was clean and bright. The food was great and plentiful.
Absolutely horrible!
This is an older restaurant that is in serious need of a makeover. The walls had stuff on them and in need of a paint job. The seats at several booths were needing to be replaced. The parking is limited as well. That being said.. let's talk about the dinner.. We ordered the fried calamari. When our server placed them on the table there was a very strong fishy smell. We bravely attempted to try them. They were rubbery and doughy. Needless to say we didn't eat them. Our server came back and asked if there was a problem with them. We told her about the issues. She asked if we would like to have another order & we told her no thank you. She then told us she'd speak to the owner " to see if she could take them off the bill. " We both ordered the Excalibur Beef Tips. Mom wanted hers medium rare & I wanted medium well. It comes on a bed of rice, red onions & bell peppers. We both ordered with no peppers. Ok at $14.95 a piece this plate had more red onions then anything. My mom's steak was more medium well than medium rare. There were 6-7 little bit size pieces of steak. There was no sauce, seasoning or unfortunately any taste to the steak. It was extremely bland. We also waited almost an hour for these entrees to be delivered. This was our first and last trip to Vegas. The service was very slow and the food very bad! They didn't even bring us an itemized receipt to sign just the merchant copy. I've included pictures of the meals and the plate with all the remaining onions that we took off of just one plate.
Steak night
I can't say enough good things about this place. Very clean and nice, older place but well maintained. The service was fast and friendly very attentive. The food was absolutely off the charts great. The filet and lobster tail was perfectly done with a nice presentation. Overall a great visit.
Steak and seafood near I 40
The food was good as was the service. The bar seemed more popular than the restaurant but we were there fairly early, My wife and I bith had the nightly special which was $9.95, You had ad a choice of sirloin, chicken, or mahi mahi. It is not great but very good. It is close to the interstate and may be a better choice that a chain at this exit.
Not even close to the " best " steakhouse in Crossville
We asked the hotel clerk for a recommendation for the " best " place to get a steak in Crossville. She directed us here and what a mistake. The strip steak was the special of the evening and it was so thin and had little or no flavor. The rest of the meal was mediocre at best. When we ordered a side of mushrooms to put on our steaks, they were a warmed up can of stems and pieces. Not grilled, sauteed and barely hot enough to eat. This place is truly a disappointment and I would suggest going and finding another in the area.

The food and service were excellent. We ate dinner there both evenings we were in Crossvile. We ordered spaghetti, stuffed shrimp, lasagna, grilled shrimp, Mahi Mahi, and grilled chicken. It was all excellent!
Dinner
Let me save you a trip. First off, our waitress was very good. I have no issues with her service. Beyond that, everything else was wrong. Dinner bread was straight from a bag and cold. Small dinner salad was the about only edible part of the meal. We ordered NY strip steak. It was served cool and honestly did not even taste like steak. Baked potatoes were old and cool. I ordered broiled fish and it was fair and my potato was the same. We left the food on the table. DO NOT EAT HERE.
Steaks are always tasty
Best steak in town. Ourdoor patio is nice. Has a restaurant side and a bar side. Sandwiches are a good choice if you don't want a lot to eat.
OK place
A well-intended local recommended this restaurant, which may have been fine for dinner or if we'd ordered steak, but 3 of our party ordered Greek gyros with lamb & beef & 1 ordered a club sandwich. All our meals came with french fries which were the frozen type & slightly overcooked. The club sandwich was excellent. The gyros left a bit to be desired. The meat wasn't quite as tender as it could have been and the onion on top was raw ringlets rather than grilled. Service was good. Place was quiet and comfortable. Prices seemed reasonable.

We had their special and it was great. Service was a little slow but food was good. They have a bar and restaurant.
Average dining
This restaurant has had mixed reviews so we weren't expecting a great dining experience. That said, we received a good meal in a timely fashion. The steaks were tasty and large, the salad average as were the fries. Our server was very nice and attentive. The prices weren't bad at all. I wouldn't mind eating here again although I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

We were looking for a good steak dinner & came across Vegas with a web search.... though there were mixed reviews (as with any thing) we decided to " try it for ourselves " and we were really PLEASED with the food & service. The filet melted in my mouth and the loaded potato soup with the blooming onion were to DIE FOR !!! I would highly recommend this as a go to place that does not require you to dress formally or pay high prices for atmosphere but not good food.
Vegas Steakhouse Not a Casino
Stayed in Crossville for two nights to check out golf courses, State Park and Cumberland County Playhouse. Saw literature about Vegas Steakhouse in our hotel room so figured we'd try it. Nice clean restaurant with booths. Cat, our waitress, was a fun-loving gal you could joke with. Salads were just so-so but meals were fine. Not a major dining experience but I would go back.
Vegas Visit A Pleasant Surprise
After living near Crossville for over ten years, we finally discovered Vegas!. A pleasant surprise right off I-40, a bit overshadowed by a Cracker Barrel which pops out at you first as you exit at 317 and go South on 127. Its worth the short drive farther. Better prices and quieter atmosphere. Not claiming to be anything it isn't except a good restaurant with good food and exceptionally friendly service, the restaurant has a varied menu. Serving sizes are large_a small greek salad fed two of us recently when I took my two daughters. From San Francisco, they're hard to impress, but the Gyros Pita (my favorite) convinced my one daughter the Bay Area was not alone in international foods. My other daughter ordered my husband's favorite_Swiss mushroom and onion burger and gave it a 10. Both girls agreed the french fries were among the best ever. Lunch prices were well under $10 unless accompanied by beer or wine. Home brewed iced tea made it for me. We haven't tried Vega for dinner yet, but it's high on our to-do list. Southern hospitality at it's best. Don't miss it if you're passing through Crossville, TN
Annual Golf Outing Stop
For many years we have had an annual golf outing near Crossville. A regular feature of our visits is a evening at the Vegas Steakhouse. Our visits are uniformly outstanding ranging from the greeting from the hostess, prompt seating, warm bread, a generous selection of beer & wine, and courteous waitresses. Even though we usually order 8 different entrees, all meals are served promptly. (My favorite is the Italian veal which is not on our menu at home). We like the large back room where we can sit at a table for 8 comfortably.
We thought we were going for cheap lunch.
The hostess and server were as sweet as could be. Although the food was bland the server was very nice and it seemed decent for the lunch special price... Until the check came. It ended up being over $23 for 2 mediocre lunch specials. The menu stated that the specials we chose came with a side and a salad or two sides. We chose the small Greek salad. No where on the menu did it state there was a $1.50 up charge for this. There was also an up charge for a loaded baked potato which we were fine with and expected. When we asked what the $3 extra on the ticket was the hostess wasn't sure and went to ask the owner. He came storming out practically yelling at us " What's going on ladies?! Whats the problem? " with his hands up. We literally stepped back his temperament was so accusatory. When I explained the issue he talked to us like children about how the small Greek salad had more on it so it cost more. Yes, but why wouldn't it say that on the menu or the server tell us? He said he would be willing to comp half of it. At this point I caved because there was no reasoning with an angry man but he did lose our business and respect.
not a great place to eat
we were seated promptly, no wait, server was very nice and efficient, we ordered new york strips, they were very tough, no taste, over priced for what we received. First and last visit there.
Great value and decent food
I ordered the early bird tilapia dinner special and while waiting I started reading the reviews which were mostly bad. My experience was good. The tilapia tasted fresh and cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was as good as good as you could cook it. The baked potato was very good also. The salad was just OK salad. The dinner roll was a hamburger bun which was OK. It was fresh. My only complaint was They had land of lakes spread instead of real butter. The salad could have had a few more things such as tomatoes and cucumbers. The draft beers were ice cold and only one dollar. I will come again when I am in the area. It is much better than the reviews indicate. Service was good also.
Good Meal Good Service a Nice Night Out
We went to the Vegas steak house on a Sunday night after going to the playhouse. We were greeted and seated quickly with only 1 other party in front of us. The place is clean and the service was good. Our server was a bit inexperienced but did very well checking on on several times during the night. We had The stuffed mushrooms to start. They were great, had chunks of seafood in them and didn't last long. Our dinners were; The Vegas special 2 chicken parmigiana and 1 veal parmigiana we all had salads vegetables and potatoes. Everything was done well served at the same time and hot. the steak was tender and not fatty and cooked to my expectation of medium. The portions were all large and most of us took some home. Our server took the time to ask if we were ready for salads, after the appetizer and again were we ready for the entrees after the salads. The rolls do look like small hamburger buns as stated in another review but they were good and although is was the dreaded vegetable spread on the table we asked for real butter and got it. When we first arrived there was a party of 4 and a party of 6 who looked like they just got there, this didn't slow down or effect our service at all. This restaurant is a nice place to gather, eat, drink and laugh. If you come here expecting white tablecloths, candlelight, silver cutlery and fru fru dinks you came to the wrong place. the atmosphere and decorations are nothing special but the food is what was important to me. The Vegas steak house is a nice place to go to enjoy good food and good service.

This is the second time we have eaten there. The food was fast fast, hot and good, but this is not a great dining experience if that is what you are looking for. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, a nice lady. The atmosphere is nothing special, but was clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a meal, this isn't a bad place to find one. If you want a " fine dining experience, " this isn't your best choice.
Pleasant flavorful lunch
We have lived in the Crossville area for 2 1 / 2 years. Part of the reason we haven't been here before is that the reviews are very mixed. We found the restaurant to be clean, well lighted and with pleasant music playing over the speakers. Our server was congenial and got our order right. My hamburger was large with grill marks and an nice charred flavor. It was better than I have had at more expensive places. My wife had chicken wings which were properly cooked and had a moderate hot sauce. Hotter sauce was also available for those who want more fire. We will go back for dinner, since they have prime rib each night. Very satisfied with the first visit.
Not bad for Crossville, Tn
In a town with few choices for dining, at least Vegas is locally owned and stays open until 10pm. (Brass Lantern closes at 8pm) Confused server delivered salads and soup before appetizer. " Did you want your appetizer first? " We foolishly ruined our appetite on the huge Bloomin' Onion ($6.95) app. Large portions, big yeasty rolls, and good food. Enjoyed the Spinach Pie ($10.98) and Devil's Reef Shrimp ($13.95). Packets of cocktail sauce and tarter sauce are out of place being served with dinner. Greek owners located here for " 15 or 20 years. "
pleasantly surprised
It was late on a Friday evening and the family was just looking for something other than fast food. By default we chose Vegas Steakhouse. The sever was very friendly (she just started 4 days ago). The service was more than efficient. Food was really good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their selection and there were ample portions. For 4 people (all seafood selections), with no drinks, the bill was $75.00.

food is just average. Do not get the Chicken Parm. its the worst. Who makes chicken parm with grilled chicken. couldn't even eat it. told them could have cared less. server was nice. but over all just an average place. I'm from Philly just used to everything fast and if its not right they fix it. Not in Tn. they don't fix it and they don't change anything on the menu.
Excellent
Decided to eat here after seeing a show at the Cumberland Playhouse with some friends. I haven't eaten here in a long time and was rather skeptical about recommending to friends. That being said is was better then I remembered. Service was great, ambiance is very nice and the food was plenty and very good, I have never had a bowl of pasta and shrimp that was that large and that good. Other guests ordered other items like beef, fish, salads were also great. Happy hour beer for a buck. Will go back
Good food
First time stopping by and the food was good. I got the chopped steak and my husband got a sirloin and they were both delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating.

Looking for locally own restaurant this is your place. Had seafood platter it was very good. Waitress was a low slow with drinks. Will go back.
Great late night stop
My brother and I were looking for someplace open late on a Monday night and they were ready for us. Excellent hostess stand employees as well as the waitress behind the bar Monday night. She was very friendly and a great person.
An average Steak House that's not bad
We were on vacation here last week and were in the mood for a steak. The V. S. advertises pretty abundantly in the area. It looks real nice on the outside with nice lit up parking in good busy location. When you walk in on the right is a large and pretty cool bar area. On the left are booths and tables for eating. We chose a booth and it offered a very nice atmosphere and was very comfortable. Since we in Whiskey country I ordered a Jack and water. We received glasses of water and ordered the steak special which was a sirloin and the more expensive Rib eye steak. The salads came and we finished them. (still no Jack and water). The food arrived and still no Jack and water. (Now i'm mad). It did finally arrive a good 20 minutes after ordering. The sirloin which costs less turned out to be the better steak. The rib eye was just OK. The sides were good. I would eat here again but not frequently. The prices are not bad and they were open late.
YOU CAN'T TELL A BOOK BY ITS COVER
Drove up and down Main Street looking for a place to eat dinner. Passed this up once but then decided that if there were a lot of cars there, then it couldn't be too bad. AND IT WASN'T!! It was great. A warm atmosphere if not a little worn by time. But the food was fantastic, and Ashley, our server, was friendly, attentive and funny. My wife and I split one of the combo plates (steak and 1 / 2 rack of ribs. The sauce on the ribs was sweet and tasty and the seasoning on the steak was excellent. If you are around Crossville, TN, stop in for lunch or dinner. Well worth it.
Freshly made, but not highest quality ingredients
After finding that our go-to restaurant in the area was closed on Mondays, we drove around looking for a back=up plan. This parking lot seemed crowded, so we gave it a try. We started with an appetizer of southwest eggrolls, which were supposed to be served with salsa, but weren't until we asked. We shouldn't have bothered. They didn't really work with the dish. But the eggrolls were hot, crispy and fresh. A pretty good start, I thought. I asked the server whether I would be happier with the french dip (which I was happily amazed to see came " au jus " rather than " with au jus " but that's a story for another day) or the chicken tenders and the server enthusiastically told me to get the french dip. What a disappointment. I would expect someplace that advertises themselves as a steakhouse have a real prime rib sliced french dip. But I would swear this was thinly sliced deli meat you could get at a supermarket. Both in look and taste. Blah. My wife got the BBQ burger with grilled onions, provolone and bbq sauce. It was OK. Both dishes came with a side of pickles, as advertised. Like 10 slices. Very odd. The fries, however, were well-done, as we ordered them, which is always a surprise.

after travelling all day, we have a great dinenr. Portions were a bit big, but we had snacks for later!
A nice dinner not a long drive
One salmon dinner for mom and she said it was delicious. The homemade salad dressings were good. We asked for no bread so I can't help you there. I ordered the seasoned sirloin with broccoli and it was more than I could eat. My husband ordered the Vegas special ribeye and he said it was just so so. The margarita wasn't bad. Dinner beverage glasses are small. Lots of refills for water and tea needed. It was a rainy night and we were glad to enjoy the meal close to our hotel. We would go back.

Waiting staff very friendly and attentive, food arrived in a very timely manner and was beautifully cooked and presented. We had the filet and they were among the best steaks we have ever tasted.

Not only was the food to die for but service was exceptional! If I am ever back in that area I will definitely eat there again. Would recommend anyone to eat there. Prices are reasonable too!
Not a bad place..
I have been attending a golf outing in Fairfield Glade for 12+ years. Every year we eat at the Vegas Steakhouse at least twice over a four day stay. First off you must set your expectations. Don't go in expecting a 5 start dining experience. This place allowed 16 golfers to eat dinner in the bar where we will be less annoying, That works perfectly. The food is reasonably priced and has a fairly sizable menu that runs from steaks to fish to Italian. Entrees range from 12 to 19 dollars and there are sides included. The wait staff (at least in the bar) was friendly and efficient. My last trip there in august of 2012 I had the blackened swordfish and it was quite good. This is a comfortable restaurant that serves decent food at a reasonable price. Dress is casual and they have lots of parking. I'll be back next summer during my golf outing.

Great lounge suffers from poor food
The only thing keeping this establishment from earning the worst rating possible is the fantastic lounge. If your goal is to have a few drinks, this might be the best place in town to go. Nice looking bar, perfect lighting, mellow crows, and great drink specials keep me coming back. Unfortunately, this also forces me to continue sampling the menu. Every item I have tried has never been pulled off properly. Even the cheese sticks are so clumsily prepared that it may take you four or five tries to actually receive a batch that still has cheese inside. My last visit yielded hollow, cheese-less sticks on each attempt, until I cancelled the order. I have been thoroughly disappointed by the food for the last two years or so. Once upon a time, I received a perfect filet mignon here but I just can't bring myself to take that gamble anymore.
One terriffic meal nightmare the next Are you feeling lucky
Party of 2 at dinner time had exceptional service & great food (spring rolls, chops & steak). We left thrilled to the gills. We went back a few weeks later with guests and thought it was a joke on reality tv & yes we really did keep waiting for the camera to come out. Later evening no other tables the waitress forgot we existed. We had to ask the hostess where our server was to place an order, let alone get a drink. Then came the food- well I guess that's what they called it. How can you get not even 1 out of 5 entes correct? We even offered to switch cuts of meat to get a person's ordered doneness- it still didn't work. This is when we expected the comical TV guy to appear, but instead our server left for the evening & we couldn't even get our check. Guess that's Vegas go if you're feeling lucky I just couldn't resist saying that
Not great
I've eaten on the bar side several times and the food was not bad. A few weeks ago we ate on the restaurant side and the food was very blah. You could tell that everything had been frozen or was straight out of a jar or can. Not impressed and was confused as to why I had had good food on the bar side. Do they have two different kitchens? Will probably avoid going there again.
Pretty good, not chain, restaurant
I can't believe ryans has a better score then Vegas. The ryans in crossville is really filthy. Vegas is pretty nice, good variety of food, tastes good and fresh, and not over priced.
Outdated with bad food and service
One of the worst restaurant experiences my wife and I have ever had. The food was edible, but barely, the decor was outdated and worn, and the service was awful. I would not recommend Vegas to anyone. With so many good restaurants in Crossville I do not understand how they remain in business.
GREAT FOOD, AND GREAT STAFF!!
Read reviews on this place befor we traveled. Was staying the night in Crossville while traveling to Virginia. We both had steak and potatoe with a salad. Everything was above average and the staff was great. Good place to get an adult beverage as well. We went in and sat at the bar. Was so GOOD, we stoped back by for lunch on our way back home. I had the spageti and meatballs with the homeade pasta sauce with mushrooms, which was OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!!! Just wish we lived closer to this restraunt. Would HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS PLACE!!

Food was nothing exceptional. Prices were a bit high. Tried this for the second time and it still had not improved. Never again.
Food used to be very good indeed
It has been a couple years since we've eaten at Vegas, but when we used to go there the food was very good indeed. I usually ordered their Greek spinach pie and loved every bite of the huge piece I got. The other meals looked very good also. The last time I was there was at lunch time with a friend and the food was not good at all. Don't know why.
Horrible Food and Service
During a visit to the area we asked a local for a good place to eat and they suggested going here. Must say wish we had never walked in the door as we found the service to be very lacking. As for the food the house salad was a little iceberg lettuce, sliver of tomato and onion. Very poor. My steak was tough as leather and bake potato was old, over cooked and bad. My wife had the salmon and it to was over cooked and side vegetable looked like it had been cooked the day before. Normally I would complain but we just left the place and went and found some real food at another place down the road.
