Restful family vacation
Enjoyed my stay here. Check in was nice and quick and the hotel was pretty quiet. Breakfast was ready each morning and had a fair selection. The automated Pancake machine was kind of cool. Room was nice and nice to have a kitchenette. They have a air fryer that you can checkout and use in your room as well as free movies. The room I was in had a toilet that occasionally randomly made noise but otherwise the stay was fantastic. Close to the mall and Boston Pizza as well. Was able to plug my EV in on level 1 as there is only one EV charger in town.
It is very impolite to speak in a negative manner
The staff at your hotel are extremely rude, especially Judy, whose name I saw on her staff name tag. One very busy day, I was in the hallway asking for a towel and Judy spoke in a very negative manner. I felt disrespected. Furthermore, the front desk of your hotel is very rude. Many hotels in Canada stand and speak politely to guests when meeting them. But it's rude to sit at the front desk of your hotel and talk to guests.
Best in Thompson
Great hotel, the breakfast the morning I left was incredible. All fresh and the perfect selection. What I've always like about this hotel is that Boston Pizza is within walking distance and their food is very good. I'll be back again! Thanks Quality Inn.
Expect cold showers!
This is the only hotel that I've experienced issue with the hot water. Stay somewhere else if you prefer warm or hot showers!!!! Cleaning staff is non existent. Garbage is left around the halls for days. Free breakfast is what you would expect but not worth the lack of cleanliness and hot water.
Decent hotel
This is a nice hotel with great staff. However, if you need the internet at all, it's not for you. Nice little rooms with large bathrooms (for a hotel). Bed are topical hotel beds, not the comfiest. They don't have anything special about the TV, just a DVD play and regular cable. They serve breakfast for free, but you have to go down to the lobby to get it. Not a big deal. Food is alright. Now the con... internet doesn't work 80-90% of the time.. when it does happen to work it is terribly slow. Certainly not worth $155 a night.
A GOOD PLACE TO STOP
We were very pleased with our brief stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious, well appointed, clean and user friendly, with a super comfy bed. All suites have a complete kitchen. We asked for an early wake-up call and it came right on time. We asked for a taxi to be called and the folks at the front desk happily did that for us. They were very welcoming and helpful!

Stay somewhere else, not people friendly or anything friendly, i wonder where they hire from, craigslist? As far as the staff did you get them from the shelte, it. Is nice of you to place them here where i can see the fruits of my donations.
Great place to stay
I stayed here to attend a family event. The room was spacious, clean, and I liked the kitchen amenities. The front desk is helpful and pleasant. The only thing I feel could have been done better were the vent in the bathroom was very dusty and needed a vacuuming and scrub. Also the carpet is looking a little worse for wear in places in the second floor. Otherwise, it is a good choice for a hotel.
Comfortable and Clean
I've stayed in most hotels in Thompson and I'd put this one in the top 3. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was worth sticking around to eat. I wouldn't hesitate to return
Un beau séjour
Cet hôtel est un bel hôtel, les chambres sont grandes et très propres. Les chambres sont bien insonorisées. Les lits sont super confortables. L hôtel est bien situé tout près du Boston Pizza. Le seul point négatif est le déjeuner. Le choix est limité et les œufs brouillés en poudre sont moyens. Par contre, pour les amateurs de café. Cafetière dans chaque chambre et cuisinette.
Clean and comfortable but lacking in customer service
The rooms are clean and comfortable plus it's quiet at night even with a full house on the mid-week nights I stayed. When I checked in, the front desk man was barely civil. Then a different front desk man the next night said on the phone that it was fine to check out later so I could take a conference call in my room. He would make a note on file but to make sure to confirm with the front desk this morning so they didn't knock on the door during the call. I did that when I came down for breakfast and the front desk lady was rude, didn't know anything about it, told me no before checking then finally agreed and charged me a fee. Overall anything on the phone was great but when they saw I am Indigenous they were rude. In a town with a reputation for racism, they have an opportunity to be an oasis but this is the worst hotel I have stayed during my trips up here to teach at the university. If you are celiac like me, make sure to buy something for breakfast as there is have nothing gluten free here for the free breakfast. Days Inn and Best Western here in Thompson at least provided gluten free toast plus their staff was much friendlier.
Clean and friendly staff
I spent a night there while up in Thompson for work. Recently moved to Manitoba and will be making frequent trips to Thompson and look forward to coming back to the Quality Inn. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Friendly staff. Free breakfast. The only downside to my stay was the 'plug' in my tub was broke so the water wouldn't drain when I was showering and they ran out of toothpaste when I forgot mine (But I can't really hold that against them lol) Although toothpaste would have been nice. I would recommend it.
Oooooh.. WHAT A NICE SURPRISE !
Imagine.. a very remote and small town (some 14, 000 souls) in Manitoba Canada.. 700 kms north of Winnipeg.. this Quality Inn & Suites Hotel, hidden behind a Boston Pizza restaurant.. AMAZING rooms (fully tooled kitchen included + large microwave and fridge).. bed, comfortable and well made.. all the expected amenities.. new furniture.. a VERY helpful personnel.. smelling new and clean everywhere.. all this at a VERY reasonable fee ! After a long day of travelling, finding this place was indeed.. a very nice surprise ! And the hotel is close to major retail stores..
Best hotel in Thompson
I have two extended stays at this hotel. Staff is amazing; very friendly and inviting and take care whatever I needed. Rooms are new, beautiful and very clean. Cleaning staff makes the room shine before I am back in the hotel in the late afternoon. Gym is small but never busy and enough to get a good workout in with treadmill and cable weight machine with some freeweights. Laundry and wifi provided are always dependable. I was out having supper and was sitting beside someone who happened to be staying at another top hotel in Thompson. When I told him I was staying at the suburban he said " I wish I could stay there but my company has a deal with (the other hotel) ! " Stay at the suburban!
unbelieveable stay
I would recommend this hotel 110%.. The service was outstanding in every aspect of the word... the WiFi was superb as where all the staff and management.. Any questions or needs I had were taken care of... There was always a friendly " Hello " weather it was from the front desk or the GM... always smiling and happy to assist in any which way they could... explened breakfast... the most comfy beds and pillow... the rooms were spotless... above all the friendless was top notch... I will be returning EVERY time I have work to do in Thompson... thanks to all for making my experience unforgetable!!!! also to add the loacation is great can not be beat!!!!
amazing stay
It was my first time staying with the Suburban this past month and my stay was amazing. The place was very clean, everything is all new and smelt so clean when you walked in. The room was large with a full kitchen, which was great because the mall is located right behind the hotel to grab groceries. The breakfast they offer opens at 6am was tasty with a large variety. The staff working at the hotel are very frienly and helpful. The nightly rate you just cant beat for what you get!!! I will forsure stay here the next time i come up for work, which i hope will be for a month.
A beautiful new hotel
I have stayed at this hotel three times. Very warm comforting atomosphere and rooms. The kitchens in the rooms are fantastic. This price is higher than other hotels but I do beleive it is money well spent if you are staying for more than one day. They gym is in excellent contition as are the laundry facilities. Staff are young and unatentive for the most part but I have had no issues that I have needed to bring to their attention.
